Chapter 545: Chapter 545: More Primordials

"Kael, what’s wrong?" Memphis asked as she came up to Kael from the sky.

She was in the form of a yellow lioness with deep green eyes and an unnatural aura around her.

She was stronger so she could still use her warp effect to fly unlike the tier 6 who could only use it to twist the nature of their powers for better movement.

"We’ve been going in the wrong direction," Kael said as he pranced around, clearly impatient.

He looks around, his dark golden mane blowing fiercely in the wind. He looked up, then suddenly, he turned his gaze downward.

"What is the right direction then, do you know something?" Memphis asked.

"I know enough," Kael said, glancing at the illusory head of Jin floating beside him.

The illusory Jin nodded his head, "It’s down there," He said.

Kael nodded, "We’ve been searching in the wrong place all along," He said to Memphis.

By this time, many more lion kings had noticed that Kael was not moving and had also stopped.

They didn’t come close though, they just stayed where they were. They knew that if Kael wanted to talk to them, he would do so through the group chat.

"Didn’t you wonder how such a planet like this could exist? A planet with no fixed landscape and constant storms. Habitable and uninhabitable at the same time.

What could be the source of all these phenomena?"

Memphis’ eyes widened, "You mean..."

Kael nodded, "Yes.

This is a Battle Planet. All those who enter are supposed to fight with all their hearts and without a single atom of care in the world.

They would break this planet down in the process of their fight and by the time the final victors remain, the gauntlet would have been exposed.

Another battle would take place that would determine who would be strong enough to walk away with the gauntlet.

The first battle, we can avoid now since we know where to look. But I doubt we would be able to walk away without experiencing the second round.

Are you ready?" Kael said and he also began to explain the situation in the group chat.

The other lion kings found Kael’s explanation reasonable. Indeed, how could such a planet with so much suppressive power exist without a godly artifact of a power source?

"So, we dig?" An Earth Lion King asked in the group chat.

"Yes," Kael said, his aura rose sharply as his body began to expand.

However, at this time, the land started to change again.

The ground rumbled, for a split second, and everyone wondered what terrain would be brought up this time.

They spoke to an unpleasant answer.

"Shyt!" Ozia cursed, feeling the ground becoming wet and damp. Water began to rise from the ground as the jagged rocks sank in.

The ground parted ways, dissolving into smaller land masses and leaving behind large bodies of water.

Soon, Kael and the lion kings were floating over what could only be described as a pocket ocean.

Kael stood on the water with his golden wings flapping behind him. The land was gone, and this ocean looked to be very deep.

"Fine then, we’ll swim," Kael said in the group chat.

All the earth lions who had previously been excited to be digging now had sour moods. Instead, the Water Lions were the ones now elated.

Even before Kael had given the signal, they had already begun diving down at their fastest speed.

Kael flapped his wings and prepared himself for the deep dive; they needed to act fast before the others discovered and put things together.

And even if they did not put things together, they were bound to start fighting each other very soon. The Battle Planet was destined to be destroyed in an all-out battle royale and that destruction was fast approaching.

However, before Kael could dive in, he sensed something.

It was a familiar sensation, the same sensation when he first found Marcus.

’What a coincidence...’ Kael thought with a vicious light flashing through his golden irises as he looked to the east.

Kael paused, his lionesses and Memphis were waiting for him. Some lion kings also noticed that Kael had not yet moved and waited on the surface of the waters.

"Is there something else?" Alora asked, noticing that Kael’s expression was intensely focused on the east. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"Yes, there’s a Primordial in that direction," Kael said.

Memphis raised her eyebrows. This place was really a concentrator of good fortune, which meant that there were currently two Primordials on this planet, if Kael was included.

"Do you want to do something? What about the Gauntlet?" Memphis asked.

Katari remained silent throughout, it didn’t matter what Kael’s final decision would be.

Kael struggled to make a decision for a few seconds.

"For the Conquering!" The illusory head of Jin said, reminding Kael of purpose.

Kael’s eyes became firm.

With a simple thought, he delegated.

[Mission: Find The Gauntlet.

Objective: First person to take firm hold and deliver the Gauntlet to the safety of the Primordial Lion.

Reward: For only one individual; one million Conquering Points, 100 lionhood bar refills.

Objective 2: Ensure that the Gauntlet is in the possession of the Primordial Supporters.

Reward: Everyone gets 5 lionhood refills and ten thousand conquering points each if and only if there is success.

...]

The mission was clear and it was meant for all the lion kings who had come with Kael today.

The mission was delivered to them through the private group chat rather than a public forum.

Immediately they saw the missus screen and understood the contents, the lion kings instantly burst out with their full might, shooting down through the water.

Kael, Memphis, and his consorts were left on the surface.

"Memphis, follow me to provide assistance," Kael said. He flapped his wings and shot out in the direction where he felt the aura of the Primordial.

The water parted behind him as he sped up.

Memphis waved her paws and a layer of distorted time flow came over Kael and his consorts.

Their speed increased and the droplets of water that rose into the sky spent a much longer time falling back to the ocean.

Soon, Kael caught sight of his target.

Just beyond the horizon, a massive buffalo rose out of the water, its horns which were just as long as its body, dripping water endlessly.

Its whole body was packed to the brim with muscles and a low amount of fat. Every movement it made through the ocean water was made with power and force.

The buffalo was huge, around four meters more or less in height. Its back hump curved over the ridges of its spine.

The buffalo was coated in a black buffalo hide that stood strong and tough.

From the aura it was emitting, one could assume that this buffalo was at tier 6 or so. Not bad for a Primordial coming to this place considering that it would most likely have much more combat power than an ordinary tier 6 creature.

The Primordial Buffalo was not alone though, it seemed like it had descended onto this planet not long ago and it came with its companions.

Surrounding him were different races of creatures. Wolves, cheetahs, foxes, falcons, and a few more.

This was a rogue mercenary tribe, their members didn’t belong to any civilization and must have grown up under the protection of the tribe before also becoming mercenaries.

These types of rogue groups were actually quite common in the Known Universe as it was almost impossible for any faction to have full and complete control over the creatures of the universe.

This group had over a thousand members sorted out and the Primordial Buffalo stood on the water in the center.

He looked to be the leader which was natural.

As soon as Kael spotted the group, his eyes locked on the large Primordial Buffalo.

He didn’t say anything, his body swiftly and quietly submerged into the water, enveloped by a layer of space to conceal his presence.

Like a torpedo, he sped off toward the buffalo.

Meanwhile, Memphis and the consorts who already understood basic hunting techniques didn’t need to talk to Kael either, they knew what to do.

Ruda and Eidel rushed over the water, bathed in fire and lightning. Fireballs and lightning strikes streaked through the sky, heading straight for the group.

Memphis stayed back, she was going to be the heavy hitter that would balance out the disparity between numbers, just in case.

As expected, the incoming consorts drew the attention of the mercenary tribe group, and the latter then bared their fangs and flashed their powers to threaten the clear hostilities.

However, just as they were preparing to get rid of these sudden attackers, a more sudden attack came from below.

By the time the Primordial Buffalo sensed it, it was already too late.

*BOOM!*

A golden lion burst out from the water beneath the Primordial Buffalo, sinking its claws into the thick sides and biting fiercely at the exposed neck.

Primordial blood was spilled, mixing with the ocean water.
