Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 588: How?
The Primordial Rat stood up in the chaos, and small pieces of rocks and concrete fell from his body as he rose from the ground.
He looked up, gazing through the hole he had been blasted through.
"Lion..." He gasped, feeling a mix of rage and fear, "You will not take my..."
"SO STUBBORN, I DON’T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!" Kael’s deep voice crashed down from the sky.
Thousands of golden magic runes materialized in the air and shot down the building like bullets. Before Louis could react, thousands of magic runes had struck his body.
He was covered from head to tail in the golden glimmer of conquest.
Louis screeched, his cry coming out deranged and maddening.
He was bound, how could he?
He was the Primordial of Freedom. What was he if he was not free?
Kael was taking away his freedom. Kael was taking away the very thing that made him who he was.
"Nooo, stop!" The last Primordial Rat struggled but he couldn’t break free. Kael was stronger and superior in every way.
"Maybe, one day you will thank me for my cruelty, it won’t matter though," Kael said from above.
He flicked his fingers and another golden magic run flew down and plastered itself to Louis’s mouth.
His final freedom of speech was taken away. And with this, the Primordial Rat of Freedom was rendered...constrained.
He was in a state that was the opposite of freedom.
How come?
Suddenly, Louis began to spasm like he had epilepsy. He fell, still bound by the runes.
He was experiencing Law Rejection. The Law he was linked to was rejecting this state of existence for him and it was reflecting on his body.
Kael had never seen this before but the Monkey Sages had documented this phenomenon in their files so he knew about it.
"Retrieve him, let’s go," Kael said as he turned away from the suffering Louis.
A Law Rejection would not kill a Primordial, but it would cause them so much intense discomfort that they would be spurred to realign themselves with their laws.
Kael chuckled internally as he thought about this. Didn’t this mean that all Primordials, at the end of the day, were slaves to their Laws?
Or were the laws slaves to the Primordials?
Either way, all of them were still pawns in the grand scheme of the universe.
At most, Kael’s existence could no longer be treated with genuine indifference. In the eyes of the universal will, he was now a slightly bigger ant.
Kael smiled, ’How sad,’ He thought with his hand forming a fist.
’One day...’ Kael mused, ’I shall no longer worry about your will.’
Kael acknowledged the thoughts that ran through his mind and stored them. Immediately, he became calm and stoic.
His aura transformed, becoming thicker and more defined. It was all of a sudden harder to read Kael’s thoughts and expressions.
He had taken another step deeper into his realm of embodying the Law of Conquering.
He had become stronger once again.
Katari teleported and appeared in front of the bound Primordial Rat. Louis’ eyes were not covered.
Despite his violent spasms, he was able to see Katari approaching him like an Angel of death.
Katari’s black dress swept from side to side, colliding with the dust particles in a ghostly manner.
Katari stared down at the fallen Primordial. She bent her knees and placed her hand on the Rat’s body.
Easily, she lifted the Primordial Rat and placed him on her shoulder as though he were a motionless pillow.
Expressionlessly, Katari lifted her body off the ground and flew back to meet Kael.
Meanwhile, Louis’s body was constantly spasming and multiple bodies tried to claw out of his being to escape his bondage.
The magic runes bonded his body linked together by thin golden strings and acted like exceptionally strong fabric.
All the doppelgangers that tried to come out of Louis were forced back into his body viciously, causing more backlash.
Kael, Katari, and N’bayé floated beside themselves.
"Guess who had found another Primordial?" Kael asked with a calm look in his eyes.
He placed his hands behind his back, satisfied with the Primordial they had just kidnapped.
"Who?" N’bayé asked, frowning. She knew that she was the first person to find a Primordial and she had mostly done so with the help of her natural calculative abilities.
To hear that someone else had found another Primordial was not that surprising but she was curious as to who it was and how that person had done it.
"Two actually," Kael said, "Olivia and Zabita."
Hearing this, N’bayé nodded her head understandingly. Zabita was lazy but could be very determined if she was doing what she set her mind to doing something.
Olivia on the other hand was a literal Fate Lionesses. Those two hanging out with each other would explain how they were so lucky to find a Primordial shortly after N’bayé.
But this also proved how terrifying N’bayé’s mind was. She had not relied on brute force or luck, just her intelligence.
"What Primordial did they find?" N’bayé asked.
"The Peacock," Kael said. He raised his brows, "And it looks like they are still in heaven."
It was strange, from the information he had received. Zabita and Olivia were still in heaven, so how did they find the Primordial?
Or, was the Primordial Peacock of Charm residing in heaven? That would be strange.
Kael remembered that there had been an issue of Charm Essence being smuggled around in heaven.
Katari suddenly perked up as she adjusted the Primordial Rat squirming on her shoulder, "Kael, Zabita is very reckless and Olivia’s luck may not be strong enough.
You may become dissatisfied if you don’t make haste and rush to their side."
Katari was speaking out of care for Kael. She knew Zabita could be quite careless and could mess things up which would indirectly put Kael in a bad mood.
Kael thought about it, appreciating Katari’s thoughtfulness.
N’bayé looked at Katari but kept her thoughts to herself.
"Let us go then," Kael said, then contacted a few lion kings to pick up on his coordinates and open a Heavenly Gate for him.
As for what would happen to this planet after they were gone? Kael couldn’t care less.
Meanwhile, the rat civilians and rat military of this rat world continued to engage in their conflict, believing themselves to be fighting for something greater.
Neither side knew that their approaching fate was going to be extremely unpleasant irrespective of which side came out as the winner.
The lions would deal with this insurgency the same way a farmer dealt with weeds.
Elimination from the roots.
Kael could not help them, the only one who could have spurred him to speak on their behalf was being stubborn.
Just then, just as the heavenly gate was forming in front of Kael, a panicked telepathic voice from Louis burst out of his mind through the binding magic runes, "Wait wait wait!"
