Chapter 614: Chapter 614: Master To Master

They all died because she said No.

This was a fact that had haunted the mind of Charvi Maruya for a very long time. Even in her captive slumber state, the memory still played over and over in her head.

She cursed the day she had met Elizabeth, she cursed the day she had been so naive, she cursed everything that turned her into this vengeful beast she had become.

"Destroying my home world seemed to bring her joy and excitement," Charvi continued as Kael was still patiently listening to her.

"She enjoyed seeing me despair, knowing fully well that she was the one who caused it.

What could I have done?

I was already very strong then, but not strong enough. She had already evolved into a higher tier not long ago at that time.

Even if I wanted to ignore the guards protecting her, I still couldn’t do anything to Elizabeth.

I thought that she had hurt me enough, and that she would see reason to just discard me.

But Elizabeth was cruel, All-King.

She told me that I would have to serve her, even in death.

That was how I was attacked, forced into unconsciousness, boxed, and probably shipped to Leonine Heaven.

At the end of the day, I was nothing more than a pawn to her. Something she could use to earn favor in the eyes of Ibadon.

I was never her friend..."

Charvi had been kneeling down. She blinked her eyes and slowly stood up.

She wasn’t that tall, probably shorter than most lionesses. But she was still very beautiful.

She had the kind of beauty that would make earthly princes and emperors wage war on nations just to have her.

However, Kael was mostly unmoved. He could differentiate.

The All-King could acknowledge beauty without being controlled by it.

"So what do you want to do now?" The All-King asked.

Kael did some simple calculations in his mind. The Charm Essence smuggling ring had been around for a long time even though they had been operating in secret.

They had been existing for close to three hundred or four hundred years.

And Empress Elizabeth was also close to a thousand years old according to sources.

Kael figured that Charvi had experienced her misfortune close to four hundred years ago and was still thinking with outdated knowledge.

She didn’t know what was going on currently.

Charvi sighed again, "I don’t know.

I don’t have the ability to have my revenge even if I wanted to. None of my kin is alive.

I think...I’m lost."

Charvi said truthfully. She didn’t know what to do at all.

If Kael dropped her off at a random planet, she wouldn’t even know what to do with herself.

Or maybe she knew what she wanted to do, but just didn’t have the power to do so.

"I can be of help," Kael said calmly as he turned back to the holographic screen.

"The enemy of my friend is my enemy," Kael said vaguely, "You and I are not friends, but we do share a common enemy.

Elizabeth."

Charvi lowered her head, a dark expression masking her bewitching face.

"Really?" She questioned.

"Yes," Kael nodded, "And that’s not all.

The peacock race is still alive. I have a few million of them under me as subordinates."

Charvi’s eyes lit up, "Really?"

She had thought that the Peacocks who lived on her homeworld were the only peacock race in existence.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I can be of all sorts of help to you.

You don’t have to feel lost, you don’t have to start all over again.

With my help, you can get back on your feet.

All you have to do is focus on elevating your race.

As for Elizabeth, you will have to leave her to me," The All-King said.

Charvi was excited and wore a charming smile on her face. Then some memories flashed through her mind, and the smile was gone in a jiffy.

Her experience with Elizabeth made it hard for her to trust anyone. Charvi’s trust issues were currently through the roof.

She definitely didn’t trust Kael. But did she have another option?

"What do you want in return?" Charvi asked.

The All-King didn’t turn around to look at her. He just stared at the screen, observing the moving images for a few seconds.

Charvi was left wondering what Kael.was thinking.

"I won’t ask you to be my friend, heaven knows I don’t need any right now," Kael said, breaking the silence.

"But I’ll need your servitude," He added.

"I won’t help you out for free. The things I have, I didn’t get them for free either. For me to give you access to these things, you would need to sacrifice something.

I hope you understand that there is no free lunch."

Charvi nodded almost instantly, "I know.

But what kind of servitude are you talking about?"

It looked like she was just jumping from one master to another.

"The kind that requires your obedience and absolute loyalty. I could ask you for anything at any time, I need assurance that you would obey.

Of course, you can also have assurance that you will receive a lot of benefits too. Your loyalty to me would not be fruitless."

Kael explained.

Charvi paused. It was almost the same thing as how she lived when she was with Elizabeth.

The difference was that Elizabeth didn’t state it explicitly, just implying it over and over again until Charvi found it reasonable.

Kael was being upfront and honest about what he required from her and it was her choice if she agreed.

"Will you humiliate me?" Charvi asked again. She had endured all manner of humiliation in the Dragon Empire and didn’t want to experience it again.

"Not if you give me a reason to do so," Kael said. He wasn’t petty like Elizabeth, why would he humiliate Charvi for nothing? It was a waste of his time and an illogical action that would cause more negatives than positives.

Not unless it was necessary.

"Hmm," Charvi nodded, "I’ll have to see the benefits first, if you don’t mind.

I don’t want to rely on your words alone."

Charvi said as she raised her chin slightly, that faint glimmer of pride known to the peacocks began to resurface.

Kael thinned his lips. He had some peacocks on the arkship that Marcus and Ralph were on.

He didn’t mind.

"Uhm, do you have some clothes..."
