Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 631: Does He Know?
Gradually, the special arkship that came with the envoys of the Creation Dragons touched down on the colossal continent.
This continent, as expected, wasn’t like the others they had been to. The whole aura of the place was heavy.
More and more arkships, belonging to both the dragons and the lions also parked and hovered a few kilometers above the surface of the colossal floating continent.
At the edge of this continent, it felt like they were standing at the edge of an infinitely long piece of land.
There was no curve to see around the edges, not unless they flew high and elevated their perspective.
*CLANK CHINK!*
From the special arkship that came with the Creation Dragons convoy, a low clanking sound was heard. It was the sound of metal shifting against the body of another metal.
The doors and hatches were opening.
At this time, the leader of the welcoming party, the tier 7 lion king, and the rest of the lion kings and princes had all parked their arkships. One by one, they floated out of their arkships with oppressive auras and deep frowns on their faces.
The skies, which were now covered by the sights of thousands of circular arkships, were now dotted by the figures of imposing lions in their humanoid forms flying down from their respective vessels.
Some kept their hands behind their backs, wearing dignified expressions. Some just folded their hands with looks of disdain oozing out of their eyes.
Most of them were accompanied by their consorts who stuck close and also projected the same racist looks at the foreign arkships.
Collectively, they felt the aura of the presence coming out of the special arkship. It drew their attention.
The hatches on other foreign arkships opened up and Creation Dragons were starting to come out but the entity coming out of the special arkship was the one who caught the attention of all the lions.
The tier 7 lion king, a humanoid with two massive brown wings behind him, and a slow-moving current of air around his feet, floated forward.
He narrowed his eyes at the special arkship, particularly at the hatch that was facing him.
A unique aura flowed out from the inside of the open hatch, followed by a white light that caused the winged king to squint his eyes.
The light died down and the king was able to see everything clearly again.
He realized that someone was now floating in front of him.
A humanoid who was quite tall. Because he suddenly appeared in front of the winged lion king, he had to momentarily adjust his gaze and shift back a little in alarm.
This humanoid was more than seven feet tall. But unlike those humanoids who had this same height but were usually buff and very muscular, this person was thin.
He was not even looking like he had been to an exercise session in his life. Maybe that was because of the long robe he was wearing but he looked very lean.
He had an elderly face filled with wrinkles that had been acquired from many millennia of existence. This was surprising to the winged lion king because he had expected this person to look young.
He never thought that he would be faced with an elderly looking person.
His hair was grey, like that of an old man he was. The grey hair was long and straight, trailing down the back and sides of his head and falling over his shoulders before ending at his waist.
This tall old man also had a pair of crystal antlers growing out of his head. The antlers were short and stubby, looking like they were just intended for decorations rather than actual fighting.
"What is your name?" The elderly humanoid asked with a kind smile on his face.
The long grey mustache at the top of his upper lip trembled as the ends which stopped in front of his chest, danced around.
Hearing the question, the winged lion king calmed his beating heart and regained his calm demeanor. The Conqueror’s Intent flashed once again in his mind, bringing him peace and serenity with awareness of his status in this universe.
"Abel," The winged lion king said as he relaxed his shoulders, "I’ll escort you to the All-King now."
Abel spoke with the bare minimum time required to sound polite and kept his expression straight.
The humanoid old man standing in front of him was the Dragon Emperor, the leader of the whole branch of Creation Dragons.
Also the Primordial Dragon of Creation and an immortal-tier entity.
Other creatures would expect this person to be treated like a god. But not the lions, they saw him the same way they saw any other creature that wasn’t yet their Vassal.
Just another entity trying to run away from that which is inevitable.
The Dragon Emperor who went by the name of Zain, didn’t seem to be perturbed by the actions of Abel.
When coming here he had never expected anyone to grovel at his feet or treat him like a god, even though he was very much already used to it.
The thoughts of this Emperor Zain couldn’t be determined as he just wore a smile on his wrinkled old face.
Abel turned around and began to fly away, escorted by other kings who threw predatory glances at the humanoids coming out of the other arkships before leaving.
No matter how one looked at it, anyone would think the lions were trying to discourage these visitors from being their allies.
It was no wonder the lions were historically known to have little to no allies at all. Many of those who made the mistake of forming an alliance with them in the past eventually paid the price in the form of stress and thousands of years of sleepless nights.
"Master," To the side of Emperor Zain, a female voice echoed into his saintly ears. He had already sensed the presence of the person before she even came.
A fit humanoid female with blue antlers on her head and deep azure eyes flew over to the side of the Dragon Emperor.
She wore blue combat armor that was not that functional and only served to please the eyes.
"Victoria," The Emperor spoke to the lady with telepathy.
"Master, they really aren’t giving you face at all. Just doing the bare minimum to avoid enmity." Victoria said to Emperor Zain while keeping an outward straight expression.
Emperor Zain’s smile widened and his eyes glimmered with joy, "That’s even better.
These lions are like an active rocket, we just have to aim them at the right target.
Besides, the bare minimum is better than blatant hostility."
The two of them, followed by the rest of the Creation Dragons, followed after Abel and his welcome party with silence reigning supreme between the two parties.
Victoria looked up to the sky, her deep azure eyes reflecting the image of the golden void.
"Ma’abu failed, that is why we must compromise," Victoria said.
"Ma’abu’s loss was an eventuality," Emperor Zain said mysteriously, "His last trick was very surprising, but he still failed.
It’s a shame your alliance with him was broken up so fast."
Victoria smiled, "Ma’abu was merely a pawn, Master.
We needed him to think we were on his side. He needed the Destruction Dragons to be kept busy and we needed sponsors and allies.
Everyone had their own hidden agendas.
Chen is still obsessed with usurping the Primordial Tiger and Eleanor has suddenly gone missing.
The tortoises are not even responding to my calls anymore.
Without Ma’abu, they no longer have a common ground for their plans to work.
I’m only worried that the All-King will know about the agreement we had between Ma’abu and take it personally."
A worried look appeared on her face. For Victoria, the only thing that mattered to her was uplifting her Creation Dragons race with the help of the Dragon Emperor.
When Ma’abu had talked about eliminating his own Primordial, she had thought of him as a fool but largely, she couldn’t care less.
She had her own goals and had been communicating her plans to the immortal Dragon Emperor in detail. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
They were both in on it.
They just needed Ma’abu’s resources to kick-start the civil war.
It had not been as simple as the Creation Dragons just distracting the Destruction Dragons. No sane cosmic faction would ever engage in such an agreement just for the benefit of another ally.
The Creation Dragons actually wanted to start the civil war too but they needed some materials. Food, some smuggled Heavenly Beacons, and most importantly, other allies.
The Creation Dragons wanted to start a civil war knowing fully well that they could depend on their backers.
That was the main reason why they had a joint alliance with the Phoenix, the tigers, the tortoises, and the Anti-Primordial Coalition of the lions.
But now, the alliance had crumbled with the disappearance of Ma’abu, and all those little food sources that the tigers and Phoenix were willing to spare to sponsor the war had vanished.
The Creation Dragons needed a new sponsor.
They couldn’t go to the Bees, they were already allied with the Destruction Dragons. They couldn’t go to the newly rising horses, if they did, it would mean that they would become the enemy of both Destruction Dragons and the Lions.
The lions were generally more terrifying and unforgiving than the horses.
Although there were many smaller civilizations, they did not match the might of the lions which was needed if the Creation Dragons wanted a big backer.
Victor sighed and her azure eyes brightened up as she remembered something, "Do you think the All-King knows that we are the ones who helped Ma’abu get the anti-lion tail?"
