Chapter 644: Chapter 644: Daughter Or Pawn

After Kael was done explaining some things to Alora, she left the supermassive continent to begin her secluded evolution.

She already had the materials which were Victoria’s body.

Kael had not chosen Victoria to die because she was tier 7 or she was good material for Alora to evolve.

Kael had not even been thinking of her for a long time until he saw her today.

Kael was very vengeful and would not let anyone go scot-free.

Eleanor was dead, Victoria was dead. All that was left were Chen and the tortoises.

Kael was unsure if he would take things seriously with the tortoise but he was definitely planning on hitting the tigers harder than ever before.

With Victoria’s powerful body, Alora should evolve to tier 6, increasing the number of tier 6 consorts he would have to two.

Depending on time and regular training was natural when it came to evolution. At their regular pace as talented lionesses, Kael’s consorts would probably spend less than three hundred years before they achieve tier 6.

Three hundred years was a bit long. It could be short for long-lived creatures, but Kael didn’t want to wait that long before he and his consorts got really powerful.

This war, which had begun more or less by now, was a good opportunity to gather materials.

Many powerful entities will rise from the ashes of the fallen, it was a dangerous event with a lot of rewards for those who made it out alive.

If possible, Kael might even be able to push all his consorts to the tier u rank in a short amount of time provided that they get all the resources needed.

Of course, Kael was not planning on babysitting them all the way, they too would have to participate in shedding some blood in the name of the All-King.

The stronger they became, the more at ease Kael could be knowing that there were trusted extensions of his power he could rely on.

With some matters settled, Kael would have to shift his gaze to other things that needed to be handled.

In the coming days, more small-scale battles between the lions and Destruction Dragons would occur and this would just be the prologue of a very brutal conflict.

The lions were ever ready for war so he did not need to worry himself too much about it.

Many Consort Trial participants were still scouring the galaxy looking for Primordials for him.

And the Primordials that he had already gotten were also looking for other Primordials as they were the most sensitive creatures to the presence of other Primordials.

At the same time, a list was being compiled by scouts that would give Kael intelligence material concerning all the Primordials under President Musty.

If he couldn’t find all the Primordials he wanted, he would just steal them from someone who already had them.

"Kael," Katari spoke, bringing Kael out of his realm of thoughts.

"Hmm," Kael thought as he sat cross-legged at the center of the supermassive continent with his eyes closed.

He enjoyed the vibe of a pure heaven very much. It felt as though there was Conquering Essence everywhere and he could breathe better.

"Alyrat has some thoughts," Katari said.

Kael opened his eyes.

"What thoughts?" Kael asked.

"The Consort Trials, she’s thinking of participating.

She told me herself," Katari said. From the way she spoke, it could be seen that she wasn’t excited or disturbed by this revelation, and neither was Kael.

In Lion culture, it was very normal for Pride leaders to sometimes elevate their daughters to consort status, especially when there was a lack of trustworthy placeholders.

"Did she meet Memphis?" Kael asked. Memphis would be the only one that would make it possible for Alyrat to participate and still have a chance of doing something.

"No, Memphis has left heaven and has disappeared for some time now. Her friends say that she spoke of looking for something or someone," Katari said.

The All-King could not help but wear a smile on his formerly cold face. Such an intentional woman.

"How does Alyrat plan on participating then? Did she tell you?"

Katari nodded, "She has already gone to meet Ozia with hopes that he would maybe be able to speed up her time.

Ozia is not as strong as Memphis, I doubt he would be able to achieve what she did in a week."

Kael nodded, "Then Alyrat knows that she is playing the long game.

It’s risky...for her.

Thousands of Earth Lionesses could take the position before she even gets there.

They are all expert hunters and would surely have some results before Alyrat can do anything."

Katari shook her head, "Alyrat is not planning to look for Primordials. She knows that she can’t compete in that aspect.

For now, she is planning on participating in the war itself.

A rich environment full of slaughter will harden her and provide the resources needed to gain the strength to be your consort, Kael.

And if possible, she may even be able to find a Primordial during one of the many battles to come.

She shall forge and refine herself in the fires of conflict, just for you, Your Majesty."

There was a little smile on Katari’s face that came and went very fast.

Kael raised one of his eyebrows as he turned around to look at Katari’s face. Katari returned the look, assuming that she did not know why Kael was looking at her like that.

"Did you give her that advice?" Kael asked.

Alyrat was smart and strong for an average lioness cub but she definitely wasn’t that thoughtful. Her natural mode of thinking should be to avoid danger and conflict, not run toward it.

The personality of an Earth Lioness usually revolved around stability and calmness. Although they could also be tyrannical and battle hungry when called for, they would usually remain steady-minded.

If Alyrat were a War Lioness or a Fire Lioness, he wouldn’t even think too much of it as those types were natural daredevils without rhyme or reason.

"Yes," Katari admitted with a nod.

"Why?"

"Because it is the right thing to do, Your Majesty," Katari said, not feeling any remorse for giving her daughter advice that could potentially kill her.

"She must be strong, mighty, and befitting to be close to you. You do not entertain weakness.

Since she is currently weak, she must work hard to be strong by any means necessary.

She knows that you do not give handouts or privileges without reason. She must prove herself and her Lionhood, and the best way to do it is to bring our enemies to their knees."

Kael paused, observing Katari’s expression. She talked with no emotion in her eyes, as if what she was saying was the most logical thing.

She spoke of proof of strength but Kael knew that deep down, Katari did not care about proof. She only cared about utility and function.

As long as the individual was useful, she would be supportive. If not, she simply wouldn’t.

From the moment Alyrat was born, she had been trained to be the most useful pawn in Katari’s service to Kael.

Katari was simply showing all this support and giving her daughter this kind of push because she saw Alyrat as potentially being useful.

And if Alyrat ended up dying in the process of following her mother’s orders, Katari would just write it down as a failure on her part as a mother.

She could always try again with another child to raise the perfect attendant for her beloved.

"No," Kael shook his head, "Why would you give her that advice?"

Katari tilted her head, showing a little bit of confusion at first.

"As your Consort, it is my duty to ensure that you never have to stress about anything, even though I know stress is inevitable.

I still try.

I am always preparing pawns for you, Your Majesty. And if one fails, I shall train a new replacement.

All to make sure you remain satisfied. It is the least I can do with my pitiful amount of power.

You should be focusing on the big picture, not worrying about who wins what."

Kael frowned, "Are you telling me what I should focus on?" A cold glint flashed through his eyes.

Katari bowed her head immediately with a genuinely sorry look, "Forgive me, Kael, I will never do it again."

Kael looked at her, his legs still crossed as he floated mid-air.

At the end of the day, all the things that Katari did, evil or not, crazy or not, were all with Kael’s well-being in mind.

Many would kill to have someone with Katari’s mindset by their side. Kael couldn’t really complain because he knew that in times of need, Katari was his most reliable consort.

She wasn’t his favorite as he had no favorites, but she was the one he knew he could logically rely on the most, hence why he would continue to logically prioritize her growth over the others. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Kael’s expression softened to a calm daze, "I understand," He said, then turned away, pushing the matter to the back of his mind.

His golden eyes glowed brightly as the unique power signature of the Conquering Avatar Mode was felt by Katari.

A golden screen appeared in front of Kael, showing him the list of all the lionesses that had gone missing, including Wei.
