Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 684: Dragon Breath
At the edge of the Faithful Shadow Galaxy, a large number of lion arkships were parked and ready for action.
This was a temporary meeting spot that had been prepared by some Lion Kings in a certain alliance so that they could discuss their next plan of action.
So far, they had a lot of success in the war and had destroyed dozens of planetary outposts belonging to the Horse Federation and their vassals.
Currently, they had agreed to meet in this lonely star system to settle some exchanges.
In the reality of war, it was inevitable that there would be some spoils that would fall into the hands of both sides. These Lion clans had accumulated a large number of captives numbering in the hundreds of millions.
Some had gathered raw materials from their battles and there were even five lion arkships casually pulling an exotic planet behind them with large stellar steel chains.
This lonely star system was an exchange ground for the lion kings and princes to get rid of the possessions that they didn’t need but were too valuable to discard.
They could have just used the exchange feature and some were actually making their transactions formal through the exchange feature, but since they also wanted to have a physical meeting to plan their next course of action, this was necessary.
By meeting physically, they could all launch out and use their numbers to target more outposts, sweeping through the territories of the enemies with little stress.
For the sake of safety, this meeting wouldn’t last more than three days.
The lions would take a look at the commodities being offered with their own eyes and select what they wanted or perform a trade by barter.
Someone was already talking about taking the exotic planet with him back to Leonine Heaven.
On the first day, most transactions were completed and the only agenda left was making a decision on where they would attack next.
However, just before the official meeting could start, tragedy descended.
Multiple heavenly gates opened up in the star system.
Something was wrong.
All the heavenly gates that opened here were emitting the aura of the Draconic Heaven, precisely the aura of Destruction Dragons.
At first, there was a brief moment of silence followed by shock and rage.
How did the dragons locate them so easily? There was no point in asking that question.
The lions immediately opened fire and decided to ask questions later. Multiple cannon beams and super missiles were shot into the various Draconic Heaven Gates.
Alas, it was all for nothing.
There was no sound of explosion, no agonizing screams, no shockwaves that indicated any explosions had occurred.
Just silence, the lions quickly discovered that they would empty their ammo and arsenal before they could even confirm the deaths of their enemies, so they stopped firing.
Then, like a ghost, one dark red dragon with the aura of a tier 7 entity, flew out of one of the portals. Before the lions could immediately resume firing, this dragon opened his fanged maw wide and out came a blast of golden light.
That was the last thing some lions and lionesses saw before they were deleted from existence.

The Dragon Breath of Destruction was the signature technique of the Destruction Dragons.
Just like the Dominion Roar and Pride Sync which were abilities that came into existence because of the existence of the Primordial Lion, the Dragon Breath was also something like that.
However, the Dragon Breath was going to exist irrespective of the kind of Primordial Dragon they had.
The Dominion Roar and Pride Sync were specific to Kael as he was the one who created them. Perhaps a different variation could have existed back in the time of the other Primordial Lions but it wasn’t the same thing.
For the dragons, as long as they had a Primordial Dragon of Destruction, they would have access to the Dragon Breath.
And just as anyone would guess, the Dragon Breaths were a mix of the individual dragon’s powers and pure Destruction Essence.
Because of the Dragon Breath, even fortune dragons who usually had the weakest combat power were capable of unholy levels of destruction.
But the Dragon Breath was dependent on the Dragon Empress as she was the only one who could produce the Destruction Essence needed for it.
So she was very important both practically and symbolically.
For every Dragon Breath activated, the dragons were morally obligated to make sure they were actually destroying something as the Dragon Empress could then absorb Destruction Essence from that.
Just like Kael, she could also absorb Destruction Essence through the Destruction Dragons as long as the dragons themselves had used Dragon Breath to perform the destruction.
She didn’t absorb the destruction essence from the destroyed item or creature, no, she absorbed it from the process itself.
Hence, it was called the Law of Destruction, not the Law of the Destroyed.
This also meant that Empress Elizabeth had some level of cosmic awareness when it came to the use of Destruction Essence.
She was perfectly aware of every moment that a dragon was using Dragon Breath, painfully so.
She could also sense it and use it to create suicide slaves, just like she did with the Charm Essence smuggling scenario.
It was no wonder she tended to just sit in silence on her crystal throne sometimes. The headache she felt daily couldn’t be imagined.
Especially with the fact that she wasn’t like Kael who had a system and supporting laws to make his own awareness of Conquering Essence easier to handle.
If Empress Elizabeth was to bear what Kael’s mind was bearing, she would probably fall into a vegetative state.
But that didn’t matter, what mattered was that the Dragon Breath was a very powerful technique.
So one could try to imagine what would happen when it was paired with the reversed Conquering Essence.
Reversed Conquering Essence was the bane of all lions. It targeted not just their bodies, but their very existence itself.
The lions would be absolutely repelled by it as if they perceived a foul stench. The golden luxurious color of the reversed essence would not change the fact that it was like a plague to them.
Their kryptonite.
Using the Dragon Breath, Empress Elizabeth was able to use a better method than what Derylia had offered back then.
Under the guidance of Ibadon, she was able to set up a better technique.
Conquering Essence, reversed or not, was not something that the Dragons could keep in their bodies indefinitely. If they tried to do so, it would slowly kill them from the inside, corrupting their mind and bodies until there was nothing left.
Ibadon had witnessed the side effects of doing this firsthand. What was the point of sacrificing themselves just to kill their enemies?
It wasn’t worth it.
So the new method that they thought of was that Empress Elizabeth would be the one to singlehandedly take the burden of containing the reversed Conquering Essence in her body.
Empress Elizabeth was a Primordial; she could contain the Conquering Essence in her body without any worry that she would die from it. Although it would be mildly uncomfortable, it was something she could endure easily.
Since the reversed Conquering Essence was turned into a subordinate of the Destruction Essence, it made it easier for Empress Elizabeth to manage it.
For some time, they had been planning their retaliation.
They had watched the lions descend from the heavens to attack their various outposts but they could not retaliate yet.
They had to wait for the perfect moment.
The moment that would be decided by Regent Ibadon.
And that day came today.
Apparently, the reversed Conquering Essence was also like a homing missile. Empress Elizabeth was able to feel a pulling force created by the reversed Conquering Essence.
This pulling force was akin to a magnet in the presence of metal.
It was actively trying to attach itself to the horses, if it did, the results would be as expected.
The dragons didn’t need to search around for the lions for them to begin the First Annihilation.
The reversed Conquering Essence guided them to their enemies.
And the results of what President Musty had done...
The sun he had committed was much more devastating than even he could comprehend.
The consequences of which he would have to deal with for the remainder of his increasingly limited life.
It was unknown how many Lion clans were eliminated on that first day of the First Annihilation, but the collective number of lions and lionesses to die was in the hundreds of millions.
Just on the first day.
It was that bad.
It came as a shock, even to the All-King.
At least, the lions didn’t remain shocked forever as it quickly transformed into a cold boiling fury that created a malicious stillness in heaven.
As if to make things worse, bad news came from the tiger faction, news that did not favor the lions one bit.
