Chapter 699: Chapter 699: Two Mysterious Primordials

Apex Continent, as it was now named.

This continent was too big for any edge to be recognised.

There were a few small pyramids that had been built in the beginning to serve as a temporary habitat for anyone who was permitted to stay here.

Among the pyramids, one stood out in particular, with a few beings of mighty auras surrounding it.

This pyramid was the same pyramid that Kael was staying in at the moment and they were all waiting for the All-King.

As for who the beings were.

Eidel, Ruda, Priya, Katari, and Memphis were here.

They just happened to be the ones available. The rest were still out hunting the remaining Primordials.

And Alyrat had also joined in, so the consorts were gatekeeping.

They had already amassed a lot of contribution points by stealing all those Primordials from the other participants.

They could stop now with the confidence that no one would be able to replace them but Katari had asked them for a favour for Alyrat.

Since Alyrat now met the requirements of a consort as she brutally eliminated all her competitors, she joined the Consort Trial.

For now, Kael’s consorts were just waiting for their numbers to finally be complete.

If Alyrat could successfully become a consort of the All-King, the set would be complete.

Kael would technically have every Lionheart type in his little harem.

Finally,

It was close to completion.

The three remaining forbidden Lionhearts were inaccessible for now so there was no need to think about it.

Back to the Apex Continent, besides the consorts that were around, the other beings that were here were all Primordials.

Every single one of them.

They stood around in different groups of two or three, discussing or looking around at their supposed colleagues.

There was tension in the air.

The tension that could be felt was because everyone here knew that they were about to be part of something extremely grand.

The grand scheme, the real stage of the universe.

Wasn’t this it?

Every single Primordial that Kael had ever conquered was here, and they were all waiting for the All-King.

Among them, Ivana stood close to Marcus.

Marcus had not changed a bit since the last time he got his humanoid form. He was still that tall, lanky, and bald-headed, grey-skinned humanoid with dark eyes and a hooked nose.

His gothic and depressing appearance betrayed the cheerful smile on his face as he looked around while whispering something to Ivana in the lion language.

"Look around, they’re your peers, mix up, find some friends," Marcus said as he smiled.

He was currently giving side glances to a certain Charvi who was also sending him curious glances.

Marcus had a stupid smile on his face, but it couldn’t be helped. Not just Marcus, every male Primordial here was looking at Charvi the Primordial Peacock with a look of amusement and admiration.

Not because they liked her, but because she was simply very beautiful.

Charvi was not wearing her veil to cover her face here. She had her near-perfect face out in the open for all to see and she was very much aware of all the glances she was getting.

But she didn’t care, she was used to it and considered it a very normal thing. Besides, she was not here for them, she was here for the All-King.

She heard that Empress Elizabeth had been captured and Charvi couldn’t contain that desire in her mind to take a look.

After what Elizabeth did to her, Charvi wanted revenge, but it seemed the All-King had already handled it, faster than she thought it would come.

She hoped that she would be able to see Elizabeth one more time, even if it’s just to see the look on her face as she realizes that Charvi was fine and okay.

Yes, that would validate Charvi’s feelings a lot.

"None of them seems friendly," Ivana said with a rather rude expression.

Ivana had grown. Her humanoid form was now that of a mature late-teen child. She wasn’t that tall but her fiery orange eyes and red hair were very striking.

Despite this, her facial expression looked very blunt.

"That’s because you don’t look friendly, it’s been like a month since you smiled. Try it again," Marcus said as he turned to look at her with a gentle gaze.

The Primordial of Death, a qualified tier 6 entity that was making his way to tier 7 looked like a caring uncle at this point.

His dark glassy eyes stared at her red hair and he couldn’t help but remember Madam Vixy.

Ever since Vixy’s death, Ivana had changed. She became more blunt, more aggressive, and more tricky to deal with.

Like an encounter with a flame, it was hard to talk to her without hurting oneself in the process.

Ivana never knew the bad side of Madam Vixy, all she knew was the tricky aunt who always looked out for her.

The loss of the only motherly figure in her life was serious.

She already didn’t have a father figure and the moment Vixy died, Ralph had also been sent out to hunt down a Primordial on the orders of the All-King.

Her rudeness and harsh tone were just a defence mechanism. She didn’t want to feel the pain of loss ever again, so she mentally detached from as many people as she could while keeping a persona that would push others away.

She was the Primordial Fox, but no fox could admit within themselves that they actually liked Ivana.

And Ivana could also admit that she felt close to nothing for her race. She had successfully cut her mind off, knowing that she would not feel any heartbreak if they were to all be gone the next day.

"Look over there, that one is also a youngster, just like you..." Marcus said, pointing at a large being.

The being he was referring to was the Primordial Crocodile of Slaughter. This Primordial was still young but already larger than most around.

He had a strange smile on his face as though he could not hide his rows of sharp teeth.

This Primordial Crocodile was talking to another person who was even larger than him.

The Primordial Shark.

This one was not muscular but also didn’t look chubby, he was just large and his neck was almost indistinguishable from his shoulders.

The Primordial Shark had greyish faded blue skin and a clam eyes. Flowing within him was the power of the oceans.

"No need, those guys are just looking for an excuse to break something," Ivana said.

Marcus sighed, "Ralph will be coming back with the two new colleagues that he found. Do you think he would want to see you this way?" He asked.

"Would he even care?" Ivana thought out loud.

Ralph didn’t even spend that much time with her before he was sent to hunt one of the most impossible things in the universe.

"Maybe, but if you don’t wear a smile, you would never know," Marcus said.

Ivana turned and looked up at Marcus, staring into his glassy black eyes. She knew that Marcus was just being this caring to her because it was her.

He who was talking about smiling, Marcus hardly spread his lips when he was with others.

The cause of his current excitement was that he had started his journey of embodying death and also because he was surrounded by other Primordials who were like him.

Although he had started making his attempt to embody the law of Death, Marcus had discovered that there were probably a few other Primordials out there who were also affiliated with the Law of Death.

Hopefully, the League of Primordials would do what he thinks it would do and help him out with this issue.

As they were talking, suddenly, a voice was heard.

"Where are the two?"

The voice was low and almost magnetic in sound. Deep and powerful.

But compared to other creatures who also hear voices, this new voice shouldn’t have stood out at all.

But it did.

There was no weird aura or strange change in the atmosphere.

Just the voice on its own without any supernatural stuff, caused all of them to turn their head and look in the direction the voice came from.

Standing there with his hands behind his back as though he had been existing on that same spot since the beginning of time, the All-King looked toward the east, where the closest continental edge was.

Blonde hair that just fit easily on his head, beautiful golden eyes that showed indifference and a lack of care for anything related to mortality.

Kael’s voice was powerful. He had already spent so much time with power and authority that it had now bled into every part of his being including his voice.

Even if he wanted to talk normally, he would have to apply conscious effort now. He spoke in a manner that made one think he would never ask for permission for anything.

As if the world must obey his command or cease to exist.

Kael paid no attention to their surprise, he was looking for the two Primordials who were supposed to be very important for his next few objectives.
