Reincarnated in the game world ~ A gamer's beginning to [Dungeon job hunting recommendation]-Chapter 644Vol. 11 - - Second Group Job Promotion
The first thing in today's agenda—members selection for the upcoming Duel.
Us, the advanced job members—saving Hannah—were obvious. The next member was Aegis, to fight knights with our knight.
"Before announcing next members, since our opponent has more advanced job holders, I am contemplating an increase of advanced job members from our end as well.|
"Advance job?!"
A buzz promptly seized many of the guild members. Rika almost instinctively yelped at the sudden topic. I knew that feeling. If we start with the joining order of our guild members, Rika was after Karua. In that sense, she was as confirmed as good.
Besides, it's not like we would be looking for outside members. I would be selecting from our current line up.
"I must say, Nico had been terrific in her assistance. With her help, we have, surprise, enough tickets for four people!"
" " "Woaah!" " "
I held up the tickets as I remarked. To our fortune, we scored all of them after the inter-class competition. Of course, that didn't include mine personal ticket.
"My words though, that's absolutely insane. The others would faint when they heard how many tickets we managed to have in a short timeframe. But boy, am I totally exhausted after all that."
"Truly, it's very much due to your hard work, Nico. Take a rest, then we will do it again."
"Eh?"
Rika lauded Nico, and then proceeded to decide Nico would be their party member for «King Dino» farming with a smirk.
Oh, right. Rika was carrying Nico, and other low level guild members to farm «King Dino» and to train them. And due to their effort, or mostly Nico's ability, they'd quite a great number of «Gold Chest» dropped from the boss. I believe now we had quite a pile of summon discs, and in fact, two of the tickets had been acquired by them.
"I believe the information is known to everyone. With everyone's effort, we have been acquiring «Advanced Job Ascension Ticket» at a decent rate. Since the Summer vacation, in just three weeks, we now have a total of 7 tickets. Of course, these aren't the first, and will not be last."
We had 3 tickets before the summer vacation ended, and 4 acquired later.
I emphasised on the pace, to assure them that even if they didn't get selected today, they would have their sooner or later. The prestige of advanced jobs was begetted by many. I wouldn't want them to hold any dissatisfaction, and let it become a ticking bomb. I also didn't want them to quarrel over them. Hence, I was leading a selection process before everyone.
"Alright, now I will announce the members who will receive them. Or well, I have already selected them. The first one is—Rika."
"!! Thank you!"
She was a splendid attacker, and even an amazing defender. Honestly, much of her efforts might not be obvious, but as our guild painfully lacks enough tanks, she had been the unsung hero in that front.
She had enough of her ability to back up, had «Princess Job», and—I assume the trait had been drawn from being surrounded by many big sisters—she was a considerate person who helped out everyone in need. There was no objection to her name.
She must have been quite nervous, as she actually walked up to the platform, her movements stiff. I presented her with one of the tickets.
"I will be counting on you, Rika."
"You may. I swear on my blade to be a warrior worthy of «Eden»."
In a very samurai-esque fashion, She cooly made a vow, and knelt on one knee to receive the ticket. ...Strange. I didn't out guild having such a ceremony, do we...?
" " "Congratulations!!" " "
"Congratulations, Rika-san~."
"Hn, nice, Rika."
"I know you would achieve great things."
However, no one seemed to really mind the act, so it's alright. I guess! Hmm, maybe I should make this our default «Advanced Job Ascension Ticket» ceremony rite. ...Ah, I nearly forgot.
"Come with me to check out your list later, Rika."
"Umu. I am looking forward to it."
With rosy cheeks, and an uplifted mood, Rika returned back to her seat as we made a promise to use the ticket.
"Alright. Now to our second member—it's Rina."
With a new announcement, whispers grew louder. It was a valid reaction. If we start with order, the next one should've been Celia, Lulu, or Celestine. But they weren't. She immediately became the centre of attraction, and rose to her feet in fluster.
"!! A-Are you sure it should be?!"
"Obviously. I believe everyone has witnessed Rina's strategy in the inter-class competition. To be truth, there was nothing as assuring as having such a brilliant tactician like you by our side."
"Ah, that's true! She had completely stole the show then!"
After me, the statement immediately came from Lana. As outspoken she was, it had to be her true impression. She became the catalyst to spur the movement, and soon, the voices began to rise in her support.
"Indeed, Rina will definitely be an asset."
"That'd be reassuring!"
"Rina's Eden's No.1 Tactician. It makes sense!"
"I doubt «Temple Saber» can even break her strategy."
Shock. I didn't know Rina was seen as the best leader over me. ......You know, nevermind. It's just better. Rina was indeed suitable for many reasons. I should be appreciating her more!
"Then, Rina. Accept the Ticket."
"G-Gladly!! And, thank you very much, Zephyr-san."
In a different gesture from Rika, Rina accepted the ticket with both hands, then held it dearly in front of her chest. Immediately, congratulatory remarks flooded in. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"Rejoice now, Rina."
"I will be counting on your leadership."
"Of course! It would be my honor! For Zephyr-san, for Eden, and for everyone's sake, this Ekaterina shall make sure no efforts are left unspared!"
" " "We're counting on you~" " "
Merry voices filled the air as Rina made her statement. Applaud closely followed up, and then she returned back to her seat.
Two tickets left.
"Not keeping suspense for long—Nico, next is you."
"Eeeh?! Meee?!"
In an absolutely flabbergasted fashion, Nico's eyes peeled back when she announced. She truly hadn't seen it coming, it seemed.
A just reaction. After all, she hadn't even hit the level cap. And because she belonged to a subordinate guild, she couldn't participate in guild battle. Then again, it was never a problem as we would just have to promote to the parent guild.
Anyway, a part of surprise was due to how I had phrased this event—"for guild battle." Nico was a support class, unsuitable for guild battle. Let's clear up the situation first.
"Relax, I didn't select you for the Duel. To clarify, Nico was selected for her ability to further improve the chance of acquiring treasure. I mentioned it earlier, and we could gather that many tickets due to her ability. She's just going to be an even better treasure hunter at an advanced job."
"What about my promised sleepland!"
...Huh, strange. Was Nico... rejecting the ticket? But that would mean acquiring a prestigious advanced job. How could one reject such allure? I perhaps misheard, definitely.
"Nico's going to be a member of our next farming expedition in Int-high dungeon. You would be at max level in due time, Nico. Then you can safely upgrade your job!"
I explained, and walked up to Nico—as she was still rooted to her seat—and passed her the seat. Everyone sends her their applause and cheers.
"Congratulations, Nico!"
"Rejoice, you're going to be the first advanced job member of «Arc-Arcadia»~."
"Congrats, Nico-chan. We will definitely catch up to you soon, and then we can dive into dungeon again."
"Hurray, Nicochi!"
"I am expecting many more tickets, Nico-kun!"
Sachi, Emi, Yuuka, Aruru, and Kairi congratulated her. Wow, the applause rumble just increased by at least 30% margin. Now that I heard them, she was actually right? I forgot, but yea, Nico is going to be the first advanced job of our subordinate guild.
"Haha... ahahaha... thanks. Everyone."
And in comparison, Nico only offered a dry laugh... Nah, it must be my imagination.
I returned back to platform, and held up the last ticket.
"Now, the fate of last ticket—"
At my words, all sounds were promptly seized. A deafening silence descended into the guild room. I could feel everyone nearly holding on their breath for the last reveal.
The gazes bored me like the weight of a mountain, but I persisted! And worded out the name—
"It belongs to—Shizu."
"I, you say?"
" " "Ooh~" " "
Hearing her name being called out, Shizu gave a confused look, and pointed at herself as if asking 'are you sure you didn't make a mistake?' In parallel, I picked up some 'aww' deflated voices, or 'ugh' disappointed groans. Believe in me, everyone!
"It's a very simple reason. Shizu's job is absolutely cracked for guild battle. I think the others must have vaguely felt it, too."
At my cue, as if recalling their memories, I saw many heads wobbling in nod.
«Battle Maid». Now, while there was no misgiving about its offensive capability, it truly shone in the support department. The job had many skills exceedingly oriented toward guild battle; like detection, concealment skill. Being able to set traps, and disarm them. Or inflict abnormal status on the opponent to slow them down. Then, the cherry on cake was the offensive capability backed by over 950 points in DEX.
There were only a few options that could actually contend against her. It was my reason to push her to an advanced job.
"What do you think, Celia? Do you have anything to add?"
"I do not mind. In fact, I am not in a hurry as well."
Celia was the next in line after Rika if we count the order, so I inquired for her input. Her response was nonchalant. I guess, yeah? She was a «Spiritualist». She probably had her thoughts about an advanced job, and she didn't seem to be in much hurry either. This was a relief.
"Do you want to add anything, Lulu?"
"Nyu? Ooh! Shizu onee-chan is fine!"
Ah, what a soothing sight she was.
"And Celestine?"
"Likewise, I have no complaints."
Celestine, too, remarked in leisure with a bow. There was no tremor in his gesture.
Hmm. Well, he did put «Eden» above all. I bet he would step up as support if I decided he's a must in guild battle.
Overall, this was how we settled on our second group of advanced job members. Saving Nico, we were almost equal in number to challenge «Temple Saber».
One decision was made, and then, we moved on to decide members for the guild battle. I had already decided on the names—Celia, Lulu, Pamela, Mert, Noel, and Lacritta.
Celestine was sticking to his support role. Misato's job was quite incompatible with knights, hence she was overlooked. The advanced knights were in possession of many defense piercing or barrier shattering skills after all. Reglam, in plain sense, just lacked level.
The fifteen members line-up had been decided.
For the rest, I tasked them to raise their level, or look out for tickets.
As for me, I would be teaching the selected about advanced job.
