Reincarnated into a Doomed Novel as an Unknown Extra-Chapter 65: Monsters Waves [2]
The first monster emerged out of the portal.
It was the same humanoid monster from the first wave, but unlike before — it was riding a corrupted horse.
The horse stood on 6 legs. It had no skin, exposing its rotten flesh like many monsters I had seen before.
Its head was staring at us, a head that was just black skeleton without any flesh on it.
And like the golden knight, it had 2 orbs of green flames gleaming on its eye sockets.
The horse suddenly charged toward us, its legs stomping on the snow with each step.
Covered in darkness, I flew toward it before piercing its head.
[You got x1 rusty dagger]
*Crack! - Thud!*
The horse skull shattered into pieces and the monster above it fell on the ground without its horse.
Immediately, an arrow pierced its heart. It struggled for a moment but against the poison it fell on the ground lifelessly.
I took their souls immediately and stared at the portals.
More and more monsters above horses came out of the gate.
’This is going to be a little harder.’
I stopped using my aura to regain some mental power.
With a strong swing of my wings, I flew toward the next monster.

[Raylin’s POV]
"Damn! He didn’t even say thanks for the gift!!"
After a month, I returned to watch again.
I watched Yami as he took the gifts, finished the first wave and was now fighting the second one.
Just like them, I felt that something was off, but I had some guesses.
First, they were probably making the challenges depending on the situation.
At the first challenge they made the rule that only one team could enter. They probably didn’t know that they would form teams but added it later when they did.
When they got closer with their teams, they divided them in the second challenge while making it easier to kill without anyone watching.
And when there was a visible murderer between them, they made the rule of whatever that green moon was.
"I played too many games to know that a moon isn’t a good sign."
I switched to the normal viewing mode and observed the island.
"He is moving, ha..."
Every few moments, a red circle would appear under a corpse, then the corpse would literally dive on it without anyone noticing.
As a necromancy fan, I knew that it was Cecil doing. He probably got the ability to store them. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"Damn!" I raised my hand and slammed it on the table.
He was probably planning to kill someone.
He was walking with a wide smile across his face as if he was on a vacation, barely killing some monsters that passed through that Chinese dragon.
Long Wei was smashing the corpses of the monsters that Cecil killed, but that did nothing to Cecil with that ability.
For the next few minutes, they kept fighting without any change until I started to feel bored.
"—!"
Suddenly, my eyes widened as something happened.
A strange monster emerged from the portal at Yami’s side.
I switched to Yami’s pov to see it clearly, then my eyes widened even more.
It was a monster riding a horse like the others, but the difference was in how its green lines were glowing brightly.
I focused on its chest, then I saw it.
"Damn! It’s a crystal! That was fast."
Yami also seemed to notice it. He immediately flew to the monster, dodging its claws and biting its throat.
At the same time, an arrow pierced the horse’s head, killing it in an instant.
The monster tried to struggle, but against Yami’s strong bite, it fell lifelessly on the ground.
Yami looked at the crystal with sharp eyes, but he didn’t touch it. Probably scared that it would shatter.
Kaito jumped over the wall and fell on the snow, then he ran toward Yami’s soul immediately while killing everything in his way.
Once he arrived, he raised the crystal carefully using his will and put it in his storage.
After returning to the stronghold, they gave the crystal to the saintess just for safety.
"Corruption crystal with holy affinity owner. Not bad."
I squinted my eyes as the second wave ended with Cecil taking tenths on corpses.
Suddenly, a corpse got summoned close to the wall on Yami’s side.
It was laying on the ground lifelessly without any movement.
"I have... a bad feeling."
•••
"I have a bad feeling..." Lily’s eyebrows narrowed, her expression turning serious.
We couldn’t ignore her "feeling" because her trait gave her a sixth sense.
I couldn’t help but stare at Cecil. He was joking around Long Wei with a wide grin on his face.
I looked at master Kai and asked: "Is it a wise decision to leave him? Maybe he is the reason behind her feelings."
Master Kai shook his head. "No, but would you let me kill him and summon the green moon and leave you to discover what it means alone?"
I fell into silence. I hated this problem.
We couldn’t kill him because that would summon the green moon.
We couldn’t leave him because he may summon the green moon.
Crippling him was indeed out of options because he was strong.
We could only watch and hope that he wouldn’t do anything stupid.
’I really hate this. If I had enough power — enough power to overwhelm him completely...’
*Tik!*
[9:59]
My eyes widened as the new wave started.
"That was... fast. I didn’t even see what the others did yet." Alden remarked with an uneasy expression.
I glanced at the portal as the first monster emerged.
Just like before, it was a monster with long claws on a horse.
But the difference was on what they were wearing.
The horse was clad in metal armor that was made perfectly to not cripple the horse’s movement.
While the claws monster was wearing leather armor, holding a long bow in one hand, and had a bunch of arrows on its back.
Looking at its hollow face, I saw a hint of intelligence from how it moved and it didn’t growl like a beast.
*SWISH!*
An arrow flew toward its head, but it dodged at the last moment and launched a green arrow toward us.
*BAM!*
The arrow hit the golden barrier that Celestina made before falling to the ground.
More and more monsters came out of the portals, holding bows, spears, swords and shields.
"It’s getting much harder." A spear materialized in master Kai’s hand, then he covered it in flames before throwing it at one of the monsters.
I flew toward the monsters again, dodging or passing through the arrows as I attacked the monsters one by one.
Just like that, we started the third wave.
