Reincarnated to become a Demon Supreme-Chapter 15: Negotiations

A portal opened, Alex and the Genera came out of it. Alex found himself in an office. Well decorated with brown furnishing, making the space feel cosy and have a scholar like atmosphere to it.

He noticed there was another person waiting in the office. An old man with unkempt white hair and eyes that shows great wisdom and curiosity like a new born baby. When the old man turned around and saw Alex he jumped off his seat like a teenager being star struck and hurried towards Mike and the General.

"Hello, Nice to meet you young man, My name is Heinz, I’m the top researcher in this little settlement of ours"

He extended his hand, and Alex didn’t leave him waiting. The General came and invited them to sit on the sofas around the small coffee table.

"Nice to meet you, too. I’m Alex... and you should be the person in charge of this settlement?"

Alex turned his head looking at the General who still appears tired from unleashing a great amount of power earlier.

"Well yes, As the highest ranking officer here, I thought it would be more effective if I took over than having someone who will delay orders in a state of emergency."

Dr Heinz took out the glass seal that had Alex’s energy from earlier, though empty, Alex could still feel the residuals of his power on the subject.

"The reason we called you here as a guest is simple..."

The Head researcher went on to explain about Alex, power, potential and how it could be the lubricant that could loosen the friction of old technology back.

"That’s an impressive deductive skill you have there. Now I understand why that blast from earlier felt like my energy... But there is a problem with your plans"

Both the Researcher and The General’s heads turned to Alex simultaneously.

"While this could work, let us remember that you are trying to use my power as an energy source to rebuild a civilisation. Won’t that mean I am now tethered to this place. Doesn’t that mean my freedom depends on the level of your tanks.

I don’t expect you to understand this, but I’m a little new to this world and I plan to explore it and see how I can help fight off the fallen."

Both men went silent for a moment. Then the General’s eyes changed, the once warm smile turned a bit devious. He stood up with his malice locked towards Alex.

"Kid, though you saved us. You are still a Fallen, there’s no telling if we could trust you in any way. I believe the only viable way is just to capture you and have you produce us that energy of yours to save humanity."

The room suddenly turned red, magic sigils written all over the walls of the office. As a former top Jumper in the world he recognised them from the moment he laid his eyes on them.

"Blockers huh, doesn’t that make us both weak?"

"I couldn’t help noticing that your body in human form is still a Junior Jumper, almost breaking into Seniour physic, so in that regard I believe I have the advantage here"

Alex turned his head around to look at the design of the sigils. They appear to be the high quality kind.

"You know, I have an interesting story for you. Once there was an innocent Boy who trusted too much, shit went down and he never trusted too much"

With a growl in his voice. Mike’s body started changing. His presence started to suffocate both the Head Researcher and The General.

"What!? Impossible, this single can block the power of both Jumper and Fallen alike!"

"Your limited view point still thinks the world in black and white. You lesser beings only borrow your power. I am my power!"

With the intensity of his strength increased. Leaving Heinz twitching then fainted.

"Stop!!!"

Dr Selly came busted through the door. She already had a bad feeling as soon as she saw the General invite Alex back to the settlement.

"Why should I? I came here in good faith, now see how far my naivety took me"

One interesting thing he had noticed is that Dr Selly seemed Ok under his power. Matter of fact it was as though his pressure was a light breeze to him.

"I am the real leader of this settlement but since so many patients needed me I gave authority on my behalf to General Malkov. Who knew he would be an idiot who doesn’t appreciate the helping hand you gave us despite not having an affiliation with us"

Alex lessened his power and slowly reverted back to his human form.

"You dare call your father an Idiot?"

Alex’s eyes grew twice in size when he heard that.

"Dad, I understand what happened to our family was terrible, but that doesn’t mean all the beast that comes in your General vicinity is a bad one. Remember there is much mystery in the world about the Fallen phenomena that still needs to be understood"

General Malkov’s malice disappeared, replaced by pain and sorrow in his eyes. When Alex caught it, he dropped all his pressure. The General fell on his knees to catch air.

"Father could you leave us alone, I need to speak to him about something"

The General didn’t get defensive. He just picked up Heinz and left the office. Leaving his daughter with the Demon in the office.

"Who are you?"

Alex asked, though he could feel nothing coming off Selly, he felt threatened ever since she walked into the office.

"It’s too early for you to know that. But I know your kind. A species said to rival the creator of reality. Or what people like to call God of Creation. Have unlimited potential and know to use one sort of energy. Chaos. Energy for creation and destruction

But your kind is a miscalculation of reality. A being of both heaven and hell. But despite all this great opportunity, the God of creation got jealous and corrupted your species, the more power you gain the more sanity you will lose.

It will become that much easier for you to be controlled by your emotions and once you get an Idea in your mind, you obsess over it"

Listening to this, Mike was relaxed, not a bit shaken by the news. It was as though it had nothing to do with him.

"You sure know a lot about my species. I don’t think any regular old library had such interesting information. So I’ll ask again, who are you!?"

Selly smiled a bit then walked towards the desk and sat on the chair behind it. Then took something from the drawer and put it on top of the desk. Mike walked over, saw maps and found some coordinates on it.

"Those are coordinates to dimensions I’m gonna need your help on. They contain something that will not only help me, but you too"

"What help do I need?"

Selly suddenly disappeared from her desk.

"This"

A voice suddenly sounded behind Mike. When he turned, a fist penetrated his chest.

Cough cough!

Blood started to fall out the whole, then soon black blood followed. Alex saw this earlier but he didn’t care that much for it. He just thought it was part of his new body. His body morphed to that of a fallen angel, it regenerated back to his healthy self.

"That blood is distinct to your kind, it is what the Demons and Gods use to track you down and it is also what is slowly corrupting you. Unfortunately I can’t get rid of it. But I can slow down the corruption and also make it so it is hard to track you down.

So you will use that chance to grow strong to fend for yourself. And as for what will help me. I need the old texts stored in those dimensions." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"Why do you need old texts for?"

"There’s for you to learn kid, The secrets of the world and reality stay in there, with them we could be able to break this cycle of violence. We could finally stop playing this game"

"Game? What Game?"

Dr Selly realised that she had revealed a little too much.

"Aga.."

"It’s early for me to know, I understand, by the way, did you have to punch a hole in my chest to show me my blood? I think if you had told me, I’d understood clearly"

Selly put her hand on her mouth as if trying to hide away her smile.

"Well that’s was punishment for almost killing my father"

Alex’s eyes narrowed. Looking Selly with a suspecting look. The Selly situation never made sense to him, he thought she was nothing but her doctor, but apparently her background goes way beyond being General Malkov’s daughter.

"By the way, I think if you let the research department look into your power, you will benefit more than you realise.
