The call was made. Soon a portal opened right near the guard. A middle aged man, With a warm smile walked out with his hands neatly in his back,

"You guys made it back quicker than I thought, What is the matter"

He turned his head and told the guard to give them space. Which the guard quickly complied... Seeing that they were now alone with General Malkov. They proceed to tell him about Alex, his powers. Mildread even went into more detail.

"That some interesting fellow you got there. Quickly take him to Selly, she will look after him"

A portal opened and all of them walked right in. When Malkov was left alone. His eyes narrowed as if thinking about something then opened another portal and jumped right in. Outside the small room the guard was watching with envy.. Only Jumpers are able to use portals. Normal people like him need a treasure that is calibrated to ordinary human souls or he would turn up with a disfigured body on the other side.

The body of a jumper has unlocked what scientists used to call junk DNA. Depending on how your DNA sequence has been awakened, your body could resonate to a certain dimension. A small dimension with a certain law of nature that rules over others.Those Dimensions are The Mistica. the more you use the law of that dimension, the closer you bond to it. A mistica is also the first dimension you jump to when your DNA sequence awakens.

Once you get there you have to familiarise yourself with the law of that dimension. Once you get the bare minimum understanding your first bond will form which allows your body to change on the sub-atomic level, then you would be allowed to leave the Dimension. There are those who get sent to complex dimensions and end up never coming back or the unlucky ones who get sent to violent dimensions.

And their human bodies just couldn’t adapt enough and die. Rich kids are lucky that their parents are able to get their DNA checked and prepare for the day they jump. Those happen to be the most powerful jumpers in the world.

"You guys sure brought me an interesting one this time"

"Will he be OK?"

Miley asked with concern in her voice. She was awake and feeling much better now

"Has little Miss Rich finally got a crush. I thought you guys never spoke to him"

Miley pouted, and stumped her foot.

"Now now, no need to be mad, I have stabilised him. His body is quite interesting, It had low immunity to any or all disease. No antibodies, If he was grown, I would have thought he was a new born"

Sally polled a lollipop from her white coat, unwrapped it and put it in her mouth,

"He is lucky you found him when you did. His body is currently fighting off all the bacteria that he was infected with but he should be ok. I gave him some antibodies now it is up to his his body when it decides to heal up"

They three were a little relieved to hear that.

"Let’s go back to turn in our mission guys"

The three left, the moment they turned around the corner General Malkov appeared around the other side.

"Sir"

Dr Selly quickly greeted him. And stood in attention,

"There is no need to do that, you are a doctor not a soldier. Tell me about our new friend here"

Looking at the still unconscious Alex. Selly went to the cabinet nearby and took out a sealed glass container. Inside was what was left of Alex’s pants. When Mildred told her how she could take them off and what happened after, she made sure to prepare a sealer before she cut them off.

"Sir, from what the kids tell me, this is a shadow skill the boy performed after defeating a shadow lilicorn"

The General took the glass container. Inside the chaos shadow looked like the galaxy was put into glass. When the general turned to get a careful look, he saw something interesting. It would appear the contents inside the bottle always get to the side closer to the boy.

"I’m going to take this to the lap for testing and observation. Inform me once the boy wakes up"

Far off thousands upon thousand kilometres away in the top floor of a hundred story building. Two individuals were seated facing each other, one behind a desk. While another seated at the guest chair.

"What brings brings you here Cindy?"

Mat asked with a voice devoid of love and romance he once had 10 years ago. There was a bit of hostility laced within his voice.

"To think you couldn’t keep your hands off me all those years ago, Now that you got what you wish for, you dipped. Such a shallow man you are. But don’t worry, If I could I wouldn’t want to be here myself as well, other matters compelled me."

"Stop your yapping and get to the point already"

"Stop feigning ignorance Mat, I know you felt it too"

Mat narrowed his eyes and got up, walked towards the floor to ceiling window overlooking a rich metropolitan city. Deep within the city was a statue so tall its head was almost touching the clouds. This was a statue of himself holding the world in one hand.

"Yeah, and what of it, nothing can happen. You were there and you saw what happened, I don’t know anyone who could come back after their soul got erased from reality. Or perhaps that young lad of yours is about to become a jumper and his blood is resonating to daddy power hahahaha"

"Don’t you dare make fun of my Son"

Mat quickly walked towards Cindy as if trying to intimidate her, But soon he felt light headed as if he was about to faint.

"You.. You really think you have more power than me? Did you think lying and taking me from Alex somehow made you think you are more powerful than me? Have you forgotten who stripped Alex of his power when he was still considered the most powerful jumper in the world."

Mat hit the ground on one knee. For the first time in over ten years he felt like a mortal. He finally understood how Alex lost his power. A jumper with heaven defying powers and he got engaged to a woman who happens to literally be his weakness.

"I think there is a reason our power resonated to something and it might be linked to Alex somehow. It might be a fluke. But it seems trying to find a solution with a swine like you is a waste of my time"

After saying that she took out the same treasure she used 10 years ago. I crushed it and jumped in.

"Crazy Bitch!"

Mat shouted the moment he felt his strength return, He thought he would never feel fear again since he is at the top of the world. Today he came to realise that he was still number 2.

He went back to his desk. Sat down and opened a drawer. Inside was only one picture. It was of him and Alex looking at something off camera and laughing.

"To think I almost suffered the same fate as you.... What went wrong, when did I stop seeing you as a brother and saw you as a rival. When did I stop seeing you as a rival and saw you as an enemy? I remember... Whenever you saw me, you didn’t see an enemy or a rival. But a friend, a brother. Maybe you saw the jealousy in my eyes,maybe not"

Mat reminisced of the young days when the Jumper phenomena hadn’t started yet, the two were like glue.

"But instead of continuing to become my friend, you went and became someone the people looked up for. Why didn’t you wait and grow strong together, why did you have to outshine me with everything you do. Now look who won Hahahah. Blood resonance my ass. The dead shall stay dead"

He took out a lighter and burnt the photo. Then a portal opened and he jumped through.

A puddle formed in a well decorated room. Cindy jumped out. The liquids then solidified, turning into an orb with intricate patterns. This was Cindy’s favourite treasure and a gift from Alex. Unlike a Jumper’s portal which could be traced or locked. This treasure leaves no trace and can’t be tracked. She put it in her closet. Then I walked out.

"Alexia, come let’s prepare dinner"

"Coming Mom!"

Out came a boy who seemed to be sound 9 years of age soon to reach 10. He looked like the older Alex of the past with some of Cindy’s features. This was obviously Alex’s child. When looking at him, Guilty and pain flashed right in Cindy’s eyes. It has been a long time since she last thought of Alex.

When she first realised that she was pregnant she quickly knew that she was pregnant with Alex’s child because she and Mat had not done anything beyond kissing. It was when they got to bed for the first time that she got morning sickness before they could take off their clothing.
