Reincarnated With The Degenerate System-Chapter 232: How To Win the War Final.
The dark water stretched to the horizon, broken only by the outline of ships moving in formation. Their numbers were more than than expected.
But we did not retreat.
Our fleet cut through the water in silence.
I stayed on the ship near the front and began casting a long‑range spell. Shadow and I linked our souls, thoughts blending, strength flowing as one.
The spell demanded everything. Focus locked my body in place—even a small shift would shatter the casting. So they guarded me.
Enemy scouts noticed us at last.
Signal flares rose from their rear line, red streaks cutting through the gray sky.
"Deploy the defense formation!" an elf commander shouted.
Layered barriers snapped into place, sealing the formation
Cannons rotated outward. They no longer aimed to advance. They aimed to protect.
The first wave of enemy magic tore across the sea.
Bolts of green and crimson energy slammed into our shield. The lead ship lurched under the impact, yet the barrier held.
Our cannons answered, smashing into enemy hulls and tearing shields apart.
The enemy pressed harder with their long range attacks.
Before the next shot could land, another of our ship slid into position, placing its hull between me and the enemy fire.
They kept guarding me. Each second was paid for in blood and mana.
My spell reached its final phase.
"Flames of Lazareth."
A massive beam of blue fire tore through the air. Shadow roared as the spell poured through her.
The sea split beneath it, water vaporizing into steam as the beam carved a burning path across the surface.
I swept it left. Shields collapsed like glass. Ships dissolved into ash. The enemy scattered in panic.
I dragged the beam right, tearing through retreating vessels.
Cannons melted before they could fire. Some ships never even burned—they simply ceased to exist. The sea glowed blue beneath the beam’s path.
Then the fire faded.
"WE DID IT!" the cheers erupted across the fleet.
The enemy naval fleet was gone, not worn down over time, but destroyed in one overwhelming blow.
Shadow and I rose into the sky. The moment they saw us, the cheers grew even louder.
I looked down at the fleet and raised my voice.
"You saw what happened today. That was not luck. That was power, discipline, and the will to stand your ground when it mattered. The enemy crossed our sea thinking we would break. They thought fear would scatter us. Instead, you held the line."
"This war is not over. More enemies will come. But now they know what they feared from the start—we can fight back. We can win."
"Trust your abilities. Trust my command. And most of all, trust my overwhelming power."
I raised my hand toward the horizon. My body glowed with shifting colors, each one marking my control over six elements.
"Let’s show them hell."

.
When we reached the port, the city walls fell under our attack. Docks exploded, and ships were sunk or captured.
Soldiers, mages, and sailors ran for their lives. By nightfall, the port belonged to us.
Our campaign kept moving fast. Every enemy we defeated, every stronghold we took, made our power even more feared.
Soon, news arrived that almost fifty percent of our continent had been captured.
While we fought here, the enemy had sent their forces elsewhere. That explained why their numbers here had been limited.
The other commanders demanded that I return. I refused.
Going back now would waste time. Better to keep advancing.
The enemy followed one king. Kill him, and their entire force would collapse.
And finally, I would be able to end this long simulation once and for all.
.
.
.
BOOOM!
The sky itself trembled as the humanoid dragon, the king, appeared. His black and purple scales shimmered with corruption, wings tearing through the clouds like blades.
His gray and purple scales glinted under the sun, wings tearing through clouds like blades.
He was only a demon before.
We were both transformed into dragons, an occurrence so rare it had happened only twice in this world.
Here we were, two turned-dragons clashing in the sky, while the true dragons merely watched from afar.
"This is your fault, Baldwin. You got too greedy, and now I’m here to put an end to you."
I hovered opposite him. My own black and green scales gleaming.
The world below faded away—this battle would be decided in the sky.
"Human, why are you letting those dragons control you?" he said. "They are not allowed to interfere with this world too much. Join me, and we can conquer it together."
"Sorry, but this place is way too small for someone of my caliber. You have to die so I can get the hell out of here. Seven years of playing the same game over and over gets tiring even if there’s a lot of high quality female characters."
He looked confused.
"You’re crazy," he grumbled. "So be it. I’ll kill you and take everything for myself."
"DIE!"
He roared, a sound that shook the heavens. With a powerful beat of his wings, he dove at me like a falling star.
I clenched my fists, letting elemental magic flow through me.
Fire, wind, lightning, and even water spiraled around my body, each element harmonizing into one deadly force.
Baldwin laughed, the sound low and grating.
"You think your tricks can match me.? My destruction magic will destroy all of that!"
He struck first, sending a beam of pure dark and purple energy .
The air bent, and the world seemed to flicker around the attack.
I twisted in midair, calling forth a shield of swirling wind and water, the elements snapping and crackling to absorb the impact.
BOOOOM!
Shockwave tore clouds apart, and below, the armies felt the tremor.
I countered immediately, sweeping flames and jagged lightning toward him.
He rolled aside with a beat of his wings, his tail whipping around in a strike meant to crush me.
I spun, wind slicing through the sky as fire and water lashed together into a storm around me.
’Careful,’ I muttered, feeling the edge of his magic brush against me.
One hit and I would be erased, reduced to nothing.
He growled and summoned a sphere of pure destructive energy, swinging it like a hammer.
I split it apart with a torrent of elemental attacks—lightning splitting the sphere, fire burning its edges, wind dispersing its fragments.
Every move demanded perfect timing; even a fraction of hesitation could cost me my life.
However, I was someone who had lived through multiple simulations and gained knowledge from every one of them.
I raised my hand and summoned a spear formed from the hardest and heaviest metal in the world.
It was a weapon I had personally ordered the dragons to forge. They advised me to use a sword instead, but I refused.
A spear was the only weapon that let me use my strength to its fullest.
"Elemental Moonlight Dragon Style: Lightning Thrust!"
I vanished in a flash of light. The dark beam tore past where I had been, missing me by inches.
In the next instant, the spear pierced Baldwin’s chest. The impact echoed through the sky, and his body was hurled backward like a meteor.
I did not stop.
"Wind Scattering Strike!"
I moved again, faster than before. Wind wrapped around the spear, compressing into razor-sharp pressure.
I struck again and again, each hit exploding with force, tearing through his scales and keeping him from regaining control.
Baldwin roared in rage, destruction magic surging from his body in wild bursts. Black energy ripped through the air, erasing clouds where it passed.
I twisted away, letting wind carry me aside as fire and lightning surged along the spear.
"This isn’t over!" he snarled, forcing himself upright, wings beating violently.
I tightened my grip.
"No," I said calmly. "It ends here."
Power surged through me, no longer scattered. Every element answered at once. The spear trembled under the strain
Baldwin roared and released his destruction magic. Black and purple energy tore through the sky, warping space as it rushed toward me. Anything near it vanished without a trace.
This time, I did not dodge, and flew straight to it.
"Chaotic Strike!"
The converged elements spiraled along the spear in a violent helix as I hurtled forward.
The converged elements spiraled along the spear as I flew forward, shredding the dark beam into fragments and scattering it.
Baldwin’s eyes widened. Too late, he understood.
I drove the spear forward with everything I had. The point pierced his chest, and for one crystalline moment, time seemed to stop.
Then the converged elements detonated outward from the impact site, tearing through his black scales like they were gossamer.
Cracks of brilliant light spiderwebbed across his corrupted form, each fracture screaming with the sound of shattering glass.
His body erupted.
The shockwave rolled outward in concentric rings, scattering clouds.
Then—nothing.
I looked down at the battlefield. The enemy forces were in shock. Their leader—the one they had counted on to bring them victory—had perished right before their eyes.
[DING!]
[Simulation Complete]
A countdown timer appeared before my eyes. Numbers began to fall one by one. Relief washed over me. After all this time, the end was finally here.
"Father!"
A female voice called out from behind.
I turned around. It was Shadow.
She had grown enough to speak.
"Father... are you going away?" she asked. Her voice shook. Tears gathered in her eyes.
Was it because of our soul link? Had she sensed the ending ?
Questions flooded my mind. My chest felt tight as I looked at her trembling form.
Wait.
How was this possible?
This was only a simulation... wasn’t it?
