Chapter 325: The Infiltration Unit!

"Your Majesty, who dared to attack your neck?" Vyaghra asked in a serious tone, his gaze fixed on Ume’s neck where the proof of our intense night session was clearly marked.

"This idiot," I muttered inwardly. "How could he be so oblivious after living for nearly two thousand damn years?"

Ume had turned completely crimson with embarrassment. Her head lowered as she played with her fingers, tilting her head in an attempt to hide the love bite, yet she could not come up with an answer.

"Th-that... umm... I—"

"Oh! Ya remember to return, brat!"

While Ume was stuck in a dilemma over what to say, a heavy voice suddenly echoed. Moments later, a mountainous body descended from the sky, kicking up dust and debris everywhere.

As the dust settled, the figure became clearer.

Standing over 6.6 feet tall, with long brown hair and a short beard of the same color, an eyepatch over one eye, bear ears atop his head, and a wide smirk plastered on his face, arrived Jambavan, the beast known as the God of Strength.

"Jambavan, you have gotten stronger," I said, extending my hand toward him.

He grabbed my hand with a loud clap and replied, "Ya have also become stronger."

"Tsk... tsk, so undignified," Vyaghra muttered, dusting off his robe. "How could you stir up so much dust knowing Her Majesty is present? But then again, what can be expected of a mindless brute?"

"Oy, kitty, if ya lookin’ fer a fight, just say it!" Jambavan growled, giving Vyaghra a death stare.

"I would have taken you up on the offer, but there is a more pressing matter," Vyaghra replied in his usual cold tone. His eyes narrowed, and the dark aura around him thickened as he muttered, "Someone has dared to injure Her Majesty. The perpetrator will pay with his life for this impudence!"

"C-come on, Vyaghra, it’s just a mark," I stuttered, sweat trickling down my temple. "W-we don’t need to take such extreme steps."

"Raj, I am disappointed in you!" Vyaghra retorted. "How could you, as Her Majesty’s promised husband, say such a thing?"

Before I could respond, Ume shouted, squeezing her eyes shut, "Vyaghra, no one injured me! I just got hurt while training!"

"But how could that be possible?" Vyaghra replied, raising an eyebrow. "You have never been injured during training."

His gaze slowly turned toward me as he noticed something unusual. In an instant, he stepped closer and tugged at my collar, revealing a deep red hickey on my neck.

"Hey, what are you doing!" I shouted, brushing his hand away and quickly buttoning my collar, flustered by his sudden move.

"You also have a similar mark on your neck," Vyaghra murmured, his gaze sharpening. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Suddenly, his eyes widened as his voice rose. "Now I understand!"

"So he isn’t completely oblivious."

"You two were sparring and injured each other!"

Yeah, he was a complete idiot.

"Must have been quite an intense spar to leave visible marks on both of you," Vyaghra said, nodding in understanding.

Ume instantly fumed, her hands flying to her burning face, while I facepalmed myself, unable to hide my embarrassment.

"Yeah, yer right about that," Jambavan chimed in, a wide grin curling across his face. "Must’ve been a ’very intense’ spar."

At least he was not completely oblivious. That made sense, considering he was once a married man, unlike a certain someone who had always been a complete loner.

Ume hid behind me, tugging at my blazer, fully aware of what Jambavan meant, while I averted my eyes and scratched my head, a faint blush creeping onto my face.

"So this is how both of your Soulforce increased," Vyaghra murmured.

After pondering for a brief moment, a very serious expression formed on his face as he asked, "Raj, can you spar with me as well? I would also like to learn this method of increasing Soulforce through sparring."

"What the hell, idiot!? Absolutely not!" I shouted, veins bulging on my forehead from his sheer stupidity, while Jambavan laughed his lungs out, nearly choking in the process.

"It is fine if you do not wish to," Vyaghra scoffed. "Why must you act as though I asked for some forbidden act?"

This time, Jambavan could not help but repeatedly facepalm as he spoke between bouts of loud laughter, "Bwahahaha! Ya definitely asked fer a forbidden act, bwahahaha!"

"What do you mean—"

"Vyaghra, I brought him here to show him what you have prepared over the past fourteen months," Ume said, stepping out from behind me and bringing an end to this ridiculous conversation.

"Yes, Your Majesty," Vyaghra replied before turning toward the cultivators who were fully focused on their training.

"Everyone, gather!" Vyaghra shouted. At his command, the cultivators instantly stopped whatever they were doing and formed multiple lines before us.

There were over four hundred cultivators, all of them disciplined and battle-hardened warriors with serious expressions on their faces.

Slowly, their eyes shifted toward me, and their stiff expressions turned into shock and surprise.

"Welcome back, Sir Morningstar!"

The warriors greeted in unison. Although all of them seemed strong, the two lines of ten warriors each at the center stood out the most. Or rather, they stood out the least, as they appeared completely ordinary at first glance, as if they were perfectly trained to suppress their Soulforce and hide their presence.

There were many familiar faces, with five warriors standing at the front outside the formation that I instantly recognized.

They were Vyrion, the blond-haired scammer, and his three subordinates, Gajendra the elephant beast, Feralin the cat beast, and Armin the brown-haired mage, along with my greatest fan, Sam. He was the man who saved my life and carried me back to Forlorn City when I was ambushed by Nyx and her subordinates.

From what I could sense, these five had already reached the early stage of the Awakened Sage Realm. After recovering my memories, my experience of fighting against thousands of demons had also returned. With just a glance, I could accurately determine the realm of individuals who were at a lower realm or even one realm higher than me.

"All of these mortals have been trained specifically in infiltration, information gathering, and espionage by completely blending themselves among regular mortals," Vyaghra said, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

"The three hundred sixty mortals on the sides are called Shadow Scouts. They are all at the early or middle stage of the Spirit Warrior Realm. The forty mortals at the center are Phantom Guards at the late stage of the Spirit Warrior Realm and can break through to the Awakened Sage Realm within the next five years. The five at the front are the Five Shadow Lords, each at the early stage of the Awakened Sage Realm."

After a brief pause, with a faint smile on his face, Vyaghra declared, "Within the next fifteen years, these mortals will become the greatest infiltration unit across the four continents of Vyoman!"
