Revenge Deal With The Devil-Chapter 118: SAME MARKS
Damon stood in front of the ward door for a while unable to go in, he then shut his eyes taking in a deep breath before pushing open the door he would have to face it sooner than later anyways.
Amelia was as usual laying own on the bed unmoving, Damon took a glance at her then sighed before heading towards where the baby cot was.
He gently picked up the little girl putting her in an awkward position in his arms before finally getting used to it. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
Damon released a soft smile then touched the young girl’s cheek, he could see the resemblance with Amelia already even though she was still so little.
"I wonder what name she wanted to give you." Damon pondered realizing the does not even know the name that Amelia would have loved to give the child.
Damon glanced at Amelia once more with the temptation of prying into her dreams and see what kept her in a coma but he does not want to make another mistake that would lead him to regret any more so he could just hopelessly watch her lay there unmoving and unresponsive.
Damon withdrew his gaze and stared at his little girl wondering what name he should give her, "Maybe I should give you a nick name first and by the time your mother is awake we get to pick out a name for you." Damin thought out loud as he stared at the little girl who slept peacefully in her father’s arms, he thought deeply on what nickname to give his daughter before deciding to go with something simple and common so he would not end up giving her an absolutely weird name.
"I call you Princess till mama wakes up." Damon cooed gently rocking the child, she was the Hitler’s little princess after all.
Damon turned around and stood where he could see Amelia’s face clearly before looking at his child with a serious face, "Princess I suspect your brother has been taken away from us." Damon unable to keep it in decided to pour his emotions to the little child who barely understood what he said.
"I doubt your mother knew she was going to have twins so if she wakes up, I will have to lie to her she gave birth to only you and you need to co-operate with me." Damon instructed Princess seriously like he was lecturing her but instead a frown settled on the little one’s brows as her tiny little hands moved a bit.
"I know I shouldn’t lie to her but nothing can be done, I can’t bare to see her pain knowing that her child was taken away," Damon said pausing a bit before biting his lips and sighing "I know this is all my fault but I will make it right and build a happy home for our family, each and everyone of us would be there, your brother and your mother." He continued making a promise to himself and also to reassure himself.
"I never knew you could handle a baby." Damon headed Giselle voice from behind making him clear his throat before turning around to see her with her hands folded leaning against the door.
"Whatever, take the child, I have some business to handle." Damon eyes suddenly turned cold as he thought of what Silva might of have done then carefully handed Princess over to Giselle before heading out, his destination was the doctor’s office at first.
The doctor was startled beyond imagination seeing Damon barge into his office like that, he hurriedly adjusted his posture trying to look calm as possible in order not to be intimidated by Damon.
"Where is my son’s body?" Damon asked coldly although there was this weird feeling in his chest when he said the word son but he ignored it because that was the matter at the moment.
"At the morgue." The doctor replied gulong nervously wondering why Damon would only deem it fit to ask now instead of when he broke the news to him.
"Take me there." Damon ordered heading outside before the doctor, the poor doctor couldn’t help but jump from his seat seeing Damon leave before him, he adjusted his collar nervously before running ahead of Damon to show him the way.
A dark figure wearing a cloak popped out from no where emitting a cold aura, "that damn Silva, he better not ruin my plans." The cloak figure cursed before disappearing immediately.
The doctor headed straight to the locker in which in his memory the baby was kept, Lock 23B.
With shaky hands he opened to the locker slowly, Damon felt his breath hitch as the doctor slowly opened the locker, his heart beating fast as he hoped that it was not really his son that was dead in the locker.
"This is it sir." The doctor pointed towards the dead body of the baby shifting far away from Damon, Damon slowly approached the baby and felt his heart clench seeing how white it was, he then shook his head trying to dispell the thoughts that it was his son.
Just when he wanted to look away, Damon spotted a mark just below the elbow of the child, the same mark he had seen on the back of his daughter’s palm, Damon eyes widened as he hurriedly picked up the child’s hand in order to inspect it carefully but soon dropped it with listless eyes holding barely any emotions.
It was the same mark, from the storkings to the shape every single thing was the same could it had been that his son was dead.
The hope that Damon had was suddenly dashed as he did not say anything any more but instead turned around and stepped out of the morgue leaving the doctor all alone there.
The doctor hurriedly closed the locker and exited as he was scared of the ghosts stories he had heard from fellow practitioners about the morgue, although he did not know whether he felt pity for Damon or hated him for always being so imposing.
