Reverse Transmigration: From F-rank to SSS-rank-Chapter 13: Elimination Exam (II)
Chapter 13
"Keep in mind that you’re allowed to gather more than a hundred points. It’s could be more but never less. Any extra points would be added to your usual class points. Also, the keys that hold higher points would be given to low ranks."
"Isn’t that just setting us up for failure?" One student asked in a frustrated tone.
"Right."
"This isn’t a child’s game, if you can’t even protect your points, it just proves you’re not supposed to be here, the more reason you’ll get eliminated." Logan’s voice cut in cold, silencing anyone that had any more complaints. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
This year’s exam was clearly made to let only the high ranks win. Great tactics to have only the best graduate. They obviously just want to eliminate any low ranks that wouldn’t be of much use later on.
Logan wasn’t done, so he continued talking. "When the time is up, any team that hasn’t reached the target will be automatically disqualified. Disqualification means elimination. Permanently." His eyes glinted, and suddenly , his gaze landed on me. "And if you die in there... well, that just saves us the trouble."
Even Logan was so sure I wouldn’t survive this exam, everyone was. I knew Dante would want to use this as the perfect opportunity to get rid of me. I wouldn’t mind playing his game and having some fun.
"Pairs will enter together," Cole finally spoke as Logan moved backwards for him to come forward,"You have five minutes to choose your partner. After that, anyone left unpaired...Will be entering alone."
The students didn’t waste time, already scrambling around to find their team mates. Someone accidentally brushed against me as they run past, the guy looked back with an offended frown and scoffed, like I was the one who’d bumped into him.
"Tch, get out of the way." He barked before running off.
I didn’t bother paying any attention to him, people like that were the ones who always ended up dying first. Too confident and always dared to challenge anyone without first sizing up their opponent.
"Lucian." Lilian’s voice called out to me, I turned to find her already standing beside me, her expression bright like she was excited to see me. She had her hair tied up in a ponytail, different from yesterday. "We’re paring for this exam right?" She asked.
I sighed, placing my hands in my pocket, "Not like anyone else would want to pair with me."
"Then it’s settled, we’re a team. I’ll try not to slow you down I promise, I’m fairly good with combat, so I can defend myself." She assured me, but honestly, I saw no need for that. If she did slow me down, I might just have to leave her behind. I couldn’t risk failing this exam, not for any reason.
"They’re are team?" I heard a mocking voice speak from behind me. They were at it again, always finding ways to add salt to the wound.
"That’s convenient, it just makes it easier for us to take their keys once the exam begins. What could be more pathetic than two weaklings as a team." Another added, his tone so loud his friends laughed, their eyes turning to me.
My left eye twitched, unless my sensory skill was cooked along side my missing powers, wasn’t that loud mouth a D-rank?
I turned around to face the guy who just spoke, then with a cold glint to my eyes, I walked up to him with steady footsteps. He tensed, watching me walk closer but not saying anything.
Once I got to him, I reached for a pen in the pocket of a student nearby, then I moved with speed so fast I’m sure none of their eyes were able to follow, the next moment, I was behind him with the pen pointed straight for his jugular vein. The few people who’d seen me move gasped in disbelief.
"Try to stay out of our way yeah? I wouldn’t wanna kill someone with such a nice jawline." I teased with a cold smirk, pressing the tip of the pen hard against his neck till there was a slight drop of blood, my other hand wrapped around his neck could feel his pulse quicken as he froze in fear, completely quiet and not saying anything.
I could feel all his friends watching me even though I didn’t pay attention to them, they were all too shocked to speak and too petrified to come close or try to stop me. I made this flashy move just to keep weaklings off my tail during the exam.
Most of them would have the confidence that they stood a chance against me since no one in the academy was as weak as Lucian. But I didn’t even wanna have to bother with weaklings.
My plan was simple, I’d wait for most of the high rank students to gather their points from the weaklings, and then I’d go after them. I plan to gather as much points as possible, and also eliminate any possible hindrance in the future, especially Dante.
With his Talekinetic ability, fighting him with only 6% of my power wouldn’t be easy, he was S-rank afterall, although still at level six.
During my time in the wolf beast dimension, I noticed that my power seemed to return and increase as I engaged in combat with the wolves, which meant somehow, I got stronger by fighting. I just needed to fight a bunch of students before facing off with Dante. If I had up to 8% of my powers, I would destroy him.
"I assume you’ve all found your partner." Cole’s spoke, interrupting whatever everyone had going on. Quietly, I let the boy go and returned the pen to the student I’d taken it from before returning to where Liana was waiting, her hands clutched to her chest like she’d been afraid I would kill someone.
"You scared me for a second." She breathed in relief as I stood back where I was standing before that donkey’s voice hit a nerve.
"Relax, I’m not that reckless." I assured her.
"Once you’re inside the dimension, the keys would automatically appear in your hands." Cole continued,"Be sure to keep them safe, and take note, you don’t have to keep your keys with you. You’re free to hide them wherever you find safe, as long as no one takes them from you, the points remain yours."
