Rise of The Demon General-Chapter 216. When the Tiger is Away

In a large room filled with luxurious stuff, a woman lay cozily on a sofa bed. Beside her were two maids fanning her while she drank a cup of wine. She was disturbed when the door to her room opened, and a young man walked in.

"Sweet little brother, what makes you give your sister a surprise visit?" The woman on the sofa bed said to the young man.

The young man, who was Yan Dose, said, "Father asked me to come here to ask Lu Zu why many of his friends complained about being uncomfortable using the service you people offer."

"Why doesn’t he just say the service our whores provide?" The woman said with a disgusted tone. She was Yan Ning, Yan Dose’s half-sister. "Acting high and dignified, I remember sending my girls to him regularly to be his playthings."

"I see you still resent him for marrying you away to Lu Zu. I say it served you well. You seem like you are having a good life."

"Hmph. If you call living in a dump like this as having a good life, you are welcome to stay here."

Yan Ning ordered the two maids to leave the room and not to let anyone enter.

"So, where is Lu Zu?" Yan Dose asked after the maids were out of the room.

"He is away," Yan Ning said.

"For how long?" Yan Dose asked.

"Long enough," Yan Ning said as she removed her clothes.

Without saying anything more, Yan Dose also stripped and lunged at Yan Ning.

The two made love for an hour before they took a rest.

"I miss this," Yan Dose told Yan Ning.

"Me too. Too bad you got shipped off to the academy, and I was ordered to play wife for that pathetic Lu Zu," Yan Ning said. "Simply because I am born of a common woman from father’s accidental fling, he sees me as a reward that can be given to his ally. I swear I will get him back one day."

"Don’t worry. When I become the head of the clan, I will bring you back into the clan," Yan Dose said.

Yan Ning laughed. "Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Enough about me, how are you? How is your life at the academy?"

Yan Dose’s expression changed upon the question. He sat and pouted.

"What’s wrong?" Yan Ning asked.

"I got expelled," Yan Dose said.

"Expelled?! How come? The academy must be crazy to expel someone as talented as you."

"It’s all because of this freshman student! He tricked me into violating the academy’s regulations. That bastard! I will get him one day."

"What freshman student?"

"His name is Lin Mo. He is a nobody from an unknown clan from a backwater town. He likes to pretend to be a big shot. Wait until I meet him outside the academy. I’m going to teach him a lesson for crossing me."

"Your sister will help you. I have many thugs under my command. That Lu Zu is just good at using his brawn and bragging. I am the one who does all the work of organizing his men. If not for me, he would be at a loss. Just tell me when you make your move, and I will lend you my boys."

"You are always the best, sis," The two had a passionate kiss and made love another round.

"By the way, where is that loser husband of yours?" Yan Dose asked.

"He is out there, having a big fight with the Sewer Snakes," Yan Ning answered.

"Really? No wonder I saw so little guards when I came up."

"Yeah, he took almost everyone with him."

Their conversation was interrupted when they heard a commotion from outside. They heard urgent knocking on the door.

"What is it?" Yan Ning called while hurriedly putting on her dress.

"Ma’am, we heard people fighting downstairs. I think there are intruders. What should we do?"

"Protect the door! Do not let anyone in!" Yan Ning called.

Yan Dose had put his clothes back on. "How dare they attack this place. Do they not know this is the base of the Street Aristocrats?"

"I think they attack precisely because they know," Yan Ning said. "The Sewer Snakes must have sent a part of their group here while our main force is away. They want to attack the lair when the tiger is away."

"Have no fear, sister. I am here. I will protect you," Yan Dose said while walking to the door. Yan Ning was only at the Intermediate Strength Stage, but Yan Dose was a Beginning Transformation Stage cultivator.

Yan Dose put his hand on the door handle. He was planning to go down there and face the intruders.

Yan Ning called him, "No, brother. Protect me by staying near me."

Yan Dose was about to reply, but he was interrupted by a loud crashing sound. The window behind Yan Ning shattered as something smashed through it. That something landed right behind Yan Ning. That something revealed itself to be a person dressed fully in black and wearing a demon mask.

Yan Dose was still stunned by the turn of events. He failed to move a muscle when the masked intruder swung the blade in his hand. The blade swiped past Yan Ning’s neck with lightning speed. Yan Dose watched in horror as his sister’s head rolled down the sofa bed where they made love not that long ago.

The masked intruder didn’t stop there. He reached forward and expertly sliced Yan Ning’s finger, which wore a space ring. Without a pause, he picked up the cut finger, turned around, and dashed to the window he came in from.
