With a single powerful flap, space itself distorted around her.
It bent and warped as if it could no longer contain her speed, and she vanished.
In the very next instant, she reappeared high in the sky after having escaped the hellish magma domain that was now fully visible to everyone below.
It had formed a massive semicircular dome of glowing orange heat, an enormous shell of molten power that covered the ruined square and sealed everything inside it like a gigantic furnace.
Seeing that blazing orange dome from above, a chill ran down Lady Raven’s spine as she realized that the magma domain had sealed itself at some unknown moment.
Had she hesitated even slightly and had she delayed her escape by even a fraction of a second, she would have been trapped inside it and forced to struggle pointlessly until her body was burned to ash after her core mana was exhausted into nothing.
Yet even as relief brushed the edges of her thoughts, she did not waste a single heartbeat to relax.
Her fingers blurred into afterimages as she formed a rapid and complex sequence of hand seals, each one flowing seamlessly into the next with terrifying speed and precision.
In seconds, the air across several hundred feet around her began to vibrate and hum as immense waves of lightning mana gathered and thickened the atmosphere as if a storm of invisible force was being compressed into a single point.
Seeing those movements, Elder Solomon let out a furious roar as he was enraged by the fact that she had escaped his domain and was now preparing to unleash something truly devastating.
In response, he chose not to abandon the magma domain he had constructed with so much of his core mana.
Knowing that he could no longer trap or pursue her effectively in the open sky, something he had already failed to do once at the start of the fight due to her terrifying speed, he instead resolved to turn the domain itself into a weapon.
With dark intent burning in his eyes, he began casting his own spell.
Violent, guttural chants spilled from his mouth as waves of oppressive power rippled outward, making the molten ground churn and bubble.
Then, to everyone’s horror, including Ethan’s, a colossal fiery hand began to rise from the lava pool below.
The hand alone was nearly twenty meters long, its massive fingers dripping molten rock as fire and rolling magma surged across its surface like living veins of liquid flame.

At the same time, the dark clouds above began to churn and rumble violently, their color shifting into an ominous, blood-red hue that stained the entire sky.
Just looking at those clouds filled everyone with a suffocating sense of impending doom, as though the world itself were holding its breath before a catastrophic release.
Jagged streaks and crackling arcs of crimson lightning tore through the red clouds as Lady Raven’s hand seals accelerated even further.
In the next moment, a deafening boom of thunder exploded overhead, and a massive hole was violently ripped open in the storm filled heavens.
From that gaping opening, a waterfall of blood-red lightning poured down in an endless, roaring cascade as it bathed the sky in a hellish glow.
The sight was so surreal and overwhelming that many people froze in disbelief as they had never seen lightning this dense, this concentrated, or this unnatural in their entire lives.
Even the raging inferno below felt normal and ordinary compared to the terrifying majesty and rareness of the storm gathering above.
The onlookers were bruised, bloodied, and aching from broken bones and injuries of various degrees.
Yet they stared upward in awe mixed with horror as they waited with bated breath and anticipation for the apocalyptic clash that was about to follow.
In the next few seconds, the vast waterfall of red lightning suddenly began to compress and twist, and it gathered itself together as if guided by a living will, until it took the form of an enormous crimson thunder lion.
It stood nearly twenty meters in both height and width, with its massive body radiating such overwhelming power that everyone below felt as if a divine beast had descended into this otherwise mundane realm.
The red thunder lion possessed three glowing golden eyes and a long, sinuous snake tail crackling with lightning energy.
And when it roared thunderously, the thunderwave it released was so violent that it deafened many of those nearby and rattled the very foundations of the castle, turning the already crumbling structures into rubble around the square.
Its roar was far more than mere intimidation, as the air itself became electrically charged, filling the surroundings with faint crackles of lightning and static that made everyone’s hair stand on end and their skin prickle painfully.
Yet in the very next instant, the colossal fiery demon head also surged upward from the magma below, spewing lava, smoke, and ash in all directions.
One careless splash of molten rock slammed into a nearby black tower and melted half of it into a steaming pile of blackened goo that collapsed with a sickening hiss.
Seeing this, the new students shivered in shock as they recognized it to be the same tower where they had spent their first night in the Sanctum.
Ethan, however, felt a strange sense of inward relief, as its destruction meant that any traces of his previous night’s activities in that black tower had been completely erased.
Though, considering the terrifying mess he was now trapped in, that small crime seemed almost laughably insignificant compared to the apocalyptic maelstrom he had found himself in.
The fiery demon only emerged up to its massive bust, yet it still dwarfed the thunder lion as it towered at nearly thirty meters in height.
