Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)-Chapter 482: Ethan’s Imprisonment
Third Person’s POV
His last words were spat out while his burning gaze flicked mockingly toward Lady Raven as his lips curled in a contemptuous sneer that carried clear hostility.
Seeing such provocations, Lady Raven’s crimson eyes grew colder, and her expression sharpened like a blade again.
For a brief second, her aura flickered dangerously, but she restrained herself and then, with measured composure, she turned toward Lord Garuman and inclined her head respectfully.
"Lord Garuman," she began, her voice steady yet tinged with iron resolve,
"The accusations leveled against this young man by Elder Solomon were unproven, inconsistent, and felt deliberately fabricated to me based on the state of the evidence that I came across."
Her gaze briefly flicked toward Solomon before returning to the Vice Headmaster.
"For the sake of justice and because of the fact that no child should suffer punishment for crimes he may not have committed, I chose to intervene.
And I did so knowing full well the cost to my authority and reputation, which I have now paid."
As she completed her sentence, many in the crowd, most of whom were men, silently clenched their fists as they felt that this Lady Raven was not only very beautiful but also very kind, which was very rare considering the people who possessed such power as she did.
They cheered for her inwardly and felt regret that they couldn’t help her traverse this storm, with Ethan being the foremost among them who had had such positive and likable thoughts for her.
Lady Raven’s tone carried no bitterness and only calm acceptance.
Silence lingered in the air for a few tense moments as everyone waited for the old vice master’s response, but Lord Garuman’s expression remained unreadable.
His wrinkled face did not shift, and his faint, turbid yellow eyes gave nothing away.
Slowly, his gaze finally turned toward Ethan.
And the moment those ancient eyes locked onto him, Ethan felt as though an invisible weight had settled over his entire being.
He felt as if he were being peeled apart layer by layer, with his body, soul, and intent being slowly and clearly revealed under that penetrating stare.
Goosebumps rippled across his skin, his heartbeat quickened, and a cold sensation crept up his spine, yet despite the suffocating pressure, he did not lower his head or avert his gaze.
He met Lord Garuman’s eyes directly while a heavy stillness hung over the square.
Then, Lord Garuman finally spoke, and his words sent shockwaves through everyone present.
"Whether he is guilty or innocent will soon reveal itself."
His voice was calm, measured, and final, like a verdict carved in stone.
"He will not receive the ’Punishment of the Devouring Hell Rats’ as suggested by the former Enforcement Elder Solomon."
Hearing this, a murmur of mixed emotions rippled through the crowd.
"But, he will not walk free either, as directly or indirectly he is also responsible for so much disturbance, destructions and chaos in this sacred space."
Lord Garuman continued,
His gaze remained fixed on Ethan as he delivered his next sentence.
"He will be confined in the Eagle Tower that is situated at the very edge of the Abyssal Sanctum’s domain, the same tower that borders the Black Earth Abyss."
The moment those words left his lips, the atmosphere exploded as a variety of gasps, shouts, and frantic whispers surged through the square like a tidal wave.
Many faces paled instantly while others twisted with grim satisfaction.
The bulky earth deacon, who was still bruised and humiliated from his earlier clash with Ethan, clenched his fists, his lips curling into a thin, bitter smile as he became sad due to the fact that Ethan had been spared from the ’Punishment of the Devouring Hell Rats’. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Several young men from the new joiners, who had already harbored jealousy and resentment toward Ethan, exchanged mocking glances of satisfaction.
Among the older students, some sneered openly, while others whispered in hushed tones about the infamous reputation of the Eagle Tower as they felt that this adulterer deserved this kind of fate.
A few sympathetic gazes flickered toward Ethan, but they were drowned beneath the rising storm of voices, and in the center of it all, Ethan stood silent with his expression unreadable as the weight of his fate settled upon him.
Hearing his decision being overturned and his plot about to fail, Solomon’s expression remained outwardly impassive, as rigid and unmoving as carved stone, but Lady Raven did not miss the subtle change in his gaze.
A cold, glacial glint flickered deep within his fiery eyes as he looked at Ethan.
It was brief and fleeting, yet unmistakably dangerous, yet Lady Raven recognized it as the look of a predator who had lost his prey for now but had already begun plotting how to hunt it down again.
Lady Raven instantly understood that even though Ethan was no longer under Solomon’s crushing suppression and the Enforcement Elder had been stripped of his prestigious authority, this man was not the type to let humiliation pass quietly.
He would definitely try something nefarious again.
Still, despite this ominous realization, Lady Raven felt a quiet sense of relief settle over her heart as she had fulfilled her Master’s command perfectly and without compromise.
Ethan was alive, unbroken, and spared from an unjust execution, and that was all that mattered.
As for her own demotion, she cared little as she had never truly been attached to the Abyssal Sanctum in the first place.
She had only remained here for the past few years because of her Master’s orders and treated her position more like a temporary duty than a true station.
In truth, she had never felt at home within these ancient stone walls.
Even during her time here, she had frequently sought excuses to leave for the Bloodfiend Islands at the far edge of the Blood Veil Continent, which was a desolate, war-torn region where demons and elves from the Bloom Haven Continent waged an endless, merciless conflict.
