Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)-Chapter 489: A Stunning Revelation
Third Person’s POV
And she reacted in such a way because she had already secretly witnessed his shameless and vulgar behavior with that blonde demon girl the night before in that stone cold room of the black tower.
But she hadn’t considered that he might also be involved with the disciple of this short-tempered little duchess at the same time.
For a brief moment, a mischievous glint flashed through Isha’s eyes as another memory from two days ago resurfaced in her mind.
She smiled faintly and interrupted Altheria mid-sentence.
"Does Nyx know about this?"
Altheria frowned at the sudden interruption, clearly displeased, but she still answered without hesitation.
"How would I know?" she snapped.
"You are the one telling me all these conjectures. For all I know, you could have already told Nyx about the danger her disciple is in."
Her gaze sharpened as Altheria continued in a tone filled with annoyance,
"And where is she anyway? So many things happened with her precious disciple and she hadn’t even arrived to check on him."
Hearing her complain, Isha shook her head lightly.
"No, I haven’t told her," she replied calmly.
"You should use a little common sense. If I had, she would already be here by now, by the side of her disciple, not wandering somewhere unknown."
She paused for half a breath before adding, her tone shifting slightly,
"And that’s not what I meant. What I asked was whether she knows that your disciple is in love with her disciple."
As she finished speaking, a faint smile returned to her lips.
Hearing the unexpected question, Altheria froze for a moment, but then she let out an irritated humph and crossed her arms tightly over her flat chest.
"How would I know that?" she snapped.
"And why are you asking such nonsensical questions at a time like this?"
Seeing her annoyed outburst, Isha simply smiled, as from her reaction, it was clear that Altheria either truly didn’t know about Nyx’s unusual affection toward her disciple, or was deliberately pretending not to.
Either way, Isha decided not to pursue the matter further.
Instead, she refocused on the more pressing issue.
"Fine," Altheria continued, her expression hardening again.
"Let’s get back on topic. I have always heard that the youngest dark prince was a complete waste.
If that’s true, then how could he possibly detect Ethan’s talent so quickly and so precisely?"
At that, Isha’s brows knitted together.
She lifted one hand and lightly touched her cheek, and fell silent for a moment as she thought.
"Hm... is that really how he is known?" she murmured while her eyes narrowed slightly.
"If so, then something is indeed very strange about that boy—something neither of us fully understands yet, as I am a hundred percent sure that nothing about him matched that of a useless young master at all."
Saying this, she looked directly at Altheria.
"On the contrary, he appeared experienced, calm, and very much composed, even during the massive duel between your disciple and that large demon."
Her voice dropped a little.
"But what I know for certain is this that just before the battle between the Sky Realm beings began, he contacted someone with a strength similar to ours."
Altheria’s eyes widened slightly.
"And he did it in an extremely ingenious way," Isha continued.
"Had I not been hiding very close to him, and had I not been capable of wielding the mysterious aspect of time, I wouldn’t have detected it at all.
I am sure even you would not have realized what happened in that second, and would only have a feeling that something strange happened, but nothing more than that."
Her expression turned solemn as she continued,
"There was a strange temporal fluctuation and a brief but unmistakable shift between realms."
She exhaled slowly.
"It lasted only a split second in the material world... but it was enough for me."
Hearing this, Altheria was completely floored, and in that instant, everything finally clicked into place.
She understood why she hadn’t detected the ’real’ danger Isha had been warning her about from the beginning.
It wasn’t that her senses had failed her, but it was that the threat had moved in a way that bypassed her conventional perception entirely.
More than that, she was genuinely shaken by the methods employed by that so-called "useless" dark prince.
Performing a temporal and realm shifting spell was not something just anyone could do.
In fact, it was something that should not have been possible for a being who hadn’t even reached the Sky Realm yet.
Such techniques required an absurd level of control and understanding of the element required for the spell, and also access to forbidden pathways.
If what Isha said was true, and since Altheria had little reason to doubt her, then that prince was far from a harmless waste.
Instead, he was a snake hiding in the mud who had deliberately masked his fangs and a truly dangerous existence, disguising himself as a useless pig.
Her thoughts churned rapidly, but she soon forced herself to focus on the most critical point.
She looked up at Isha, her crimson eyes wide and sharp.
"If he truly conversed with someone from our realm," Altheria said slowly, each word measured,
"And just after Ethan’s battle with that bone slave, and right after he displayed that dark dome spell..."
Her voice trailed off for a fraction of a second before she continued, though her tone tightened.
"Then do you think he might have contacted—"
"Yes," Isha interrupted calmly, her expression grave.
"I strongly suspect that he contacted the being closest to him, the one he obviously trusts the most."
She paused briefly and then said the being’s name whom she suspected without hesitation.
"It must be none other than that old greedy dog, Dajjal."
This time, Altheria’s expression didn’t change outwardly, but only the red light in her eyes deepened and darkened like fresh blood soaking into snow, as a heavy, contemplative silence settled over her face.
