S.P.E.C.T.O.R-Chapter 551: Sound of running water
The elevator descended in silence for a moment before Millie suddenly asked, “Have you really travelled into space?”
“I have,” Adam replied simply.
“Then why are you back?” Millie asked curiously.
“To help a friend, I will be gone again soon,” Adam replied, which for some reason caused the light in Millie’s eyes to dim. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
“So are you three famous or something?” Adam asked.
“You could say that,” Millie replied before continuing, “We’re the K-pop idol group Triple Trouble.”
“Well your doing a good job living up to your name,” Adam remarked before asking, “I take it Jeanie, Millie and Billie are your stage names then?”
“That’s right, and we actually have a decent reputation, thank you,” Billie remarked.
“First impressions and all that,” Adam said with a smirk just as the elevator dinged and the door opened again.
Adam stepped out and turned in the direction that a sign on the wall opposite the elevator indicated room twelve was in, without looking back.
“He didn’t even say goodbye,” Millie pouted as she watched him go.
“Girl, seriously?” Jeanie remarked as she pressed the button for the ground floor.
“What?” Millie asked innocently.
“You were basically flirting with him, a wanted murderer,” Jeanie replied.
“I told you I don’t believe that,” Millie retorted with a pout.
“It doesn’t matter if you believe it or not, if the company learns about this, we can all kiss our music careers goodbye,” Jeanie said.
“Fine, fine, it's not like I’m going to see him again anyway,” Millie replied before adding in a soft voice, “Unfortunately.”
“You really need to get past this whole being attracted to bad boys phase you're going through,” Billie stated before continuing, “First Sammy, who I still can’t believe you slept with and now Adam Spencer, a wanted murderer.”
“That whole Sammy thing was the management's idea to help one of us get a part in his next movie, you know that. Also, if I hadn’t done it, one of you two would have had to and we both know neither of you wanted that,” Millie replied before adding, “As for Adam Spencer, I’m not so sure you can class him as a bad boy; he saved me after all.
“We appreciate you doing that with Sammy for us, Millie, but it’s still not a good idea to go near Adam Spencer. He may very well be innocent, like you say, but right now that's not what the world thinks and any connection found between him and us could ruin our careers,” Billie remarked.
“Yeah, yeah, I got it,” Millie replied.
“Good, now let's get a move on, we have a flight to catch,” Jeanie stated
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): I can’t believe the streamer was making small talk with Triple Touble.]

Adam proceeded down the hallway until he reached room twelve, which automatically unlocked itself as he approached and allowed him to open it and enter, only to hear the sound of running water.
“Enter,” Sebastian Morse said from behind his desk, where he sat re-reading the information his family had managed to acquire on Adam.
After hearing that Adam Spencer was back on Earth, he figured it was a good idea to re-read everything they knew about him for when he inevitably made contact. Also, he was hoping to find a weakness in Adam that he could exploit.
Unfortunately, with no family apart from the parents who put him up for adoption, being an orphan with little to no money and being an outsider in school with no friends, except for the now deceased Jenny Downs, there was basically nothing for us.
With the power and influence of the five families, they had easily discovered and located Adam’s parents and it was rather surprising who they were. Unfortunately, with the temperament Adam had shown them, they had concluded that using them as negotiating material wouldn’t work. If he really had cared about who they were and finding them, he never would have left Earth after all.
After speaking, the door to his office opened and Sebastian's assistant stepped in while saying, “Sir, we have an update on Adam Spencer.”
“Tell me,” Sebastian replied as he looked at his assistant.
“David just called to inform us that he met Adam Spncer at the Alamo Grand Hotel and it’s likely that he is still there,” The Assistant replied.
“Do we know why he is there? Also, how did their interaction go? Did David do anything that could anger him?” Sebastian asked with a frown.
“We are unsure as to why he is there, but it may have something to do with an earlier incident that took place and that we are just learning about. As for David, he claims to have been partying with a few friends in the hotel's penthouse, and when they left the room, they encountered Adam Spencer, who was waiting for the elevator.
Apparently, the actor Sammy Joe attempted to attack Millie of the K-pop girl group, Triple Trouble, with a knife, but Adam Spencer knocked him unconscious using a strange weapon.”
“Why the hell did some actor suddenly attack a girl group member with a knife?” Sebastian asked in confusion.
“Something to do with her insulting him after he insulted and embarrassed her.”
“Fucking celerities. What happened next?”
“Adam Spencer got into the elevator along with Triple Trouble and left, though he apparently did mention about only taking the elevator down a few floors.”
“Which means he’s still there,” Sebastian replied thoughtfully before ordering, “I want to see all the CCTV footage of the time that brat was there, I’m curious as to what he was up to.
What was this earlier incident you mentioned?”
“There was a confrontation between what appears to be a group of either a group of kidnappers or assassins at Miss Hopkins home.”
“Someone tried to have Emma Hopkins kidnapped or killed?” Sebastian asked in surprise.
“That appears to be the case; however, it seems that Adam Spencer and his associates protected Miss Hopkins. The police have only recently arrived at the scene and early reports say that after stopping these individuals, the group went on to torture and interrogate one of them for information.”
“Torture and interrogate?”
“Yes, sir, the residents of the properties near Miss Hopkins reported seeing the torture take place.” At this point, the assistant froze and gulped slightly before adding, “Some kind of electrocution, they believe. After that they it is believed they killed her; however, no evidence of this individual's body can be found.”
“That’s unsurprising. I witnessed for myself that the brat has the ability to disintegrate bodies,” Sebastian replied.
“Yes, well, it doesn’t seem to be just bodies of people because some of the residents claim to have witnessed the van the assailants were using suddenly vanish.
After that, Miss Hopkins apparently led them back into her house to pack some of her belongings before the group all exited the house, only to vanish themselves a few moments later.”
“They themselves vanished?” Sebastian asked in concern before frowning and asking, “Why did it take the police so long to arrive? I mean your telling me that Emma Hopkins even had time to pack some bags.”
“Reports say that all forms of local communication suddenly stopped working.”
Sebastian tapped his desk while in thought before saying, “Get me that CCTV footage and also find out which room that brat was so interested in at the hotel, that might tell us more about what he’s up to.”
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Is that the sound of a shower?]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Uh-oh, someone else is staying in the room.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Well, this was an unexpected plot twist.]

[[Hotel records show that the sniper checked in alone.]]
{Backtrack through security feeds and find out who they are and how long they have been here.}

After giving instructions to Spector, Adam pulled out his force staff while quietly entering the room.
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Wait, he’s still going in?]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): He has a job to do and it’s not like he fears anyone on Earth.]
[Lizziethetruepower (Palaxia): Though it does like he is trying to do this quickly and quietly.]
Adam stood in a small living room-like area that had several doors. It seemed that even a normal room in the Alamo Grand Hotel was as big as a standard apartment and far bigger than what he used to live in.
“Benefits of being rich,” Adam mumbled as he looked around the living room for any sign of a laptop, but upon failing to find one, he decided to search one of the rooms.
However, as he approached one of the doors, the sound of a gun's safety being removed and a female voice asked, “Who the fuck are you?”
