“Why? It’s not like you can kill me with it,” Adam replied before pressing a section of the force staff that caused a red energy bolt to hit the woman square in the chest.

The woman didn’t even have time to pull the trigger before she was dead.

“Any idea who she is?” Adam asked as he turned back towards the bedroom.

The sound of a gunshot rang out just as Adam felt a pain in the back of his head that made him stumble forward slightly before collapsing to one knee as blood started to stain his hair.

“THAT’S WHAT YOU GET FOR KILLING MY WIFE, YOU FUCKING BASTARD.”

“Ah man, what the fuck?” Adam cursed as he rubbed the back of his head where the bullet had hit him before saying, “That fucking hurt.”
