Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 310 - 247: Gone with the church
Now being content with his surrender, she clapped her hands together, a warm smile on her face, "Thank you for taking care of me father. I’ll come and visit you whenever I’m free."
With that done, she turned back around to face Deille, who had been watching the encounter.
"Head Priest, is there a way I can take my presents and subordinates with me?" Aurianna asked, pointing towards the heap of gifts in the ballroom.
"Sure," he answered and right after the words left his lips he snapped his fingers, the gifts disappearing instantly.
’Oh, he has spacial magic...’ Aurianna noted.
She bowed gracefully, "Thank you, Head Priest."
"No worries," Deille swatted his hand, an unconcerned expression on his face.
By now, Deille as well as his other priests like Deprixon opened the ballroom doors. Aurianna stared forward almost knowingly at what she would see before her. All the other guests of the birthday party were outside. Many gazes held different intent or emotions. Some were filled with confusion on why she was leaving with the priests while others had understanding.
"Such an ungrateful child," a lady sneered under her hand fan, glaring at Aurianna coldly.
"She chose to go with a bunch of strangers rather than stay with her own family," another lady grumbled.
"Poor King Girsal and Queen Amber. After everything they did for her...’’ a man muttered with disdain.
’Tch, that brat, I better tame her to obey me when she comes back,’ King Girsal thought, fury clouding his face as he gazed at Aurianna. Her outline became fainter and fainter until she was out of sight.
"Wow, what’s that?" Aurianna asked as she stared at a huge pink ship that glittered under the moonlight. A huge pink cross was imprinted on its side.
She gazed in awe at the structure before her. She had seen these ships before, it wasn’t a rare sight.
"It’s a flying ship, we’ll use it to take us to the church," Deille answered, a smile on his face at her excitement. Aurianna quickly made her way onto the ship’s deck and right as she did so, a magic circle, which she hadn’t seen previously flashed brightly. It was a signal the ship was preparing to take flying fully, instead of floating like it had been previously.
In less than a few minutes they were high in the air as the ship moved at a speed faster than that of chariots. Her mouth dropped as she looked at the world below from the side of the ship. The castle, which had seemed so grand and looming the past few years, looked like a mere minor building up in the skies. She watched as it became smaller and smaller as they pushed onto the new church in Sandeph.
With the visual of the castle lost, Aurianna thought to herself, just as the distance of the castle was behind her, so were her memories of the future. Everything she’d proceed to see would be brand new, and that was what excited her the most.
"So, how is this ship able to fly?" Aurianna asked Deille who was standing beside her.
"The ship uses a wind attribute mana stone to operate," Deille responded.
"That’s really cool!" Aurianna grinned, stars in her eyes as she felt the breeze slip through her hair.
After an enjoyable flight, one Aurianna spent gasping and being awestruck the entire time, they finally reached a landing dock. Taking no time at all to exit the ship.
"This is the new church of Sandeph," Aurianna muttered as they entered a building the size of a palace. Inside it many people were moving around. Some were treating the sick as others were being called out of the church. She has already been here before and was used to it.
Deille sighed, "Sorry you had to witness this. The church is mostly busy all the time."
Aurianna bit her lips as she watched the scene, "These were the same people who abandoned you all, and yet they came to ask for treatment. Ignorant leeches."
"Did you say something?"
Aurianna chuckled, "No, not at all."
"Okay then. Let’s go to the Altar room, that’s where most of the members have gathered to welcome you." He then proceeded to escort Aurianna through the halls, Derek and other priests beside him.
"Deprixon call those on duty to come too," Deille ordered.
"Okay sir," Deprixon nodded, before running off in a different direction.
After walking for a while Aurianna finally reached a room with a huge pink door, which slowly opened to reveal a crowd of people. Their eyes were glued to her the moment she entered. They were all seated but instantly rose once she walked inside the room.
"Let’s welcome Saintess Aurianna," Deille announced and everyone in the room clapped after.
"Oh my she’s so beautiful," a person complimented.
"Our new Saintess is definitely cute," another person remarked.
"That’s definitely princess Aurianna right?" Another person whispered.
"Aurianna!" Kaede beamed rushing towards her and hugging her
"Kaede you’ve grown so much!" Aurianna beamed hugging Kaede
"How old are you now Kaede?" Aurianna asked, ruffling his hair.
"Heh, I’m 15 years old now!" Kaede bragged. Kaede was much taller now. And his striped dark blue and orange hair was longer yet messy. And his yellow eyes were bright as well.
"Yaya, I’ll give you a gift later," Aurianna beamed
"Aurianna, I knew you would be the Saintess," Horton stated calmly as he walked up to her. His blue eyes, fair skin and brown hair were still the same.
"To think a selfish mean girl became a Saintess," Horton cried
"Hey, what does that mean??!!" Aurianna yelled angrily.
"I’m just glad you’re fine. When I heard you were missing I was worried about you," Hotron stated
"Heh, no need to be, it’s obvious I’m fine," Aurianna chuckled
"Yeah because of us," Avriel chuckled.
"Ahhh when did you get here!" Aurianna gasped.
"We were near you the whole time but you were so absorbed in what you were doing that you ignored us. See even Hadina and Zagan are crying," Jugi stated shaking his head.
"Master!" Hadina cried rushing to Aurianna’s side.
"There’s no need for the water works. But as long as you’re here this would make things simpler," Aurianna stated coldly.
"She’s gonna do something crazy, I can bet on that," Jugi whispered to Jade with a slight smile.
