Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 829: An Encounter Beyond Expectation
"What’s up? Just tell me directly," Marshall Quinn agreed readily.
Summer Sutton carefully explained a lot over the phone and then arranged to meet him at a café.
When Marshall arrived, he brought along a stack of documents as she had requested.
They were all the latest itinerary details of Bryce Walyon.
Summer Sutton picked up a sheet, noted down the location and time of his most recent schedule, and Marshall took charge of driving her to the spot.
Bryce Walyon’s latest appointment was at a café, where he planned to discuss some business matters with someone.
To avoid being recognized, Summer Sutton stayed in the car and left everything for Marshall to handle.
Marshall was a very efficient young man, with a brisk walk and a reliable work ethic.
Once inside, after sitting for a while at the café, Marshall approached Bryce Walyon’s table when he went to the restroom.
The person Bryce had arranged to meet hadn’t arrived yet, so the table was vacant once he left.
Probably afraid of getting his wristwatch wet while washing his hands, Bryce had left his watch on the table.
As Marshall passed by Bryce’s table, he swiftly picked up the watch, blocking the restaurant’s surveillance with his body, fiddled with it for a moment with his fingers, and then casually placed it back.
Returning to his own table, he called a waiter, paid the bill, and quietly left the café.
"Is it done?" Summer Sutton opened the car door for him.
"Done, a piece of cake!" Marshall gave her a reassuring look.
Summer Sutton let out a sigh of relief, started the car, and left the scene, ready to await the results.
She had sent Marshall in to install a bug on Bryce Walyon.
Summer Sutton just wanted to find out if there was anything shady about Bryce, and installing a bug was the only way she could think of.
Marshall had tampered with Bryce’s watch, disguising the bug as a button on the watch, making it look just like the original and hard to detect.
After returning, Summer Sutton kept monitoring Bryce for several days.
She wanted to see if she could overhear him say something incriminating, but even after four or five days of Marshall’s bug being on Bryce’s watch, nothing of significance was overheard.
Everything Bryce had said was related to mundane life matters...
This made Summer Sutton somewhat puzzled.
Is he really without any problems?
...
Currently, Summer Sutton works seven hours a day at Royal Delight, and most of her time after work is dedicated to Morningview Group.
On Saturday, Marshall called, telling her there was a business banquet today, attended by well-performing businessmen from various sectors, and Morningview Group had received an invitation. She might need to attend.
Now, Summer Sutton was responsible for everything concerning Morningview Group, and attending such events was no exception.
After receiving the call, Summer Sutton agreed.
The banquet was scheduled for Saturday evening at a luxurious hotel in Northtown.
Summer Sutton applied a light makeup, casually donned a nude-colored long evening gown, and had Marshall pick her up to head to the venue.
She’s not good at drinking, and with Marshall accompanying her, she could avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble and have some support.
Less than two minutes after Summer Sutton arrived at the venue, a silver light suddenly swept over from a certain direction in the bustling crowd.
Summer was momentarily stunned, her face stiffly turned, and her gaze followed the light, finally settling on a silver mask...
