Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!-Chapter 830: Is It Him?
The venue was packed with guests, and Summer Sutton only caught a glimpse before her view was blocked by the moving crowd.
By the time her vision cleared again, the figure she had seen was already gone.
Summer Sutton stood rigidly in place, staring blankly at where the silver glow had just come from, dazed.
Upon seeing the silver mask, the first person Summer thought of was the Sun!
The man who had saved her several times in the past.
Is he here as well?
"What are you looking at?" Marshall Quinn’s voice came from beside her.
He approached her slowly, handing her a glass of champagne, "Want to try some? It’s very light, no harm in drinking it."
Adrian Walyon’s group of assistants were all in their early twenties, quite young, not much older than Summer Sutton, so interacting with them felt more like hanging out with friends.
"No problem." Summer shook her head, took the champagne from his hand and had a sip, then turned to the buffet area, "I’m going to find something to eat, if I run into anyone familiar, help me handle them for a bit."
"Alright!" Marshall agreed readily.
Marshall had been groomed by Adrian and often accompanied him at various occasions; he was very adept at socializing.
Summer Sutton arrived at the buffet area, picked out some food, and as she carried it to the corner, she kept observing the guests at the venue.
She just wanted to confirm if the person she saw was the Sun, and if he was, knowing he was safe after the last incident would give her peace of mind.
Tonight’s party was an international banquet with many attendees, at least two to three hundred people, from various countries.
The venue was crowded, and after Summer Sutton had just caught sight of that silver mask, she never saw it again.
She walked around the venue looking back and forth, combing through, but still didn’t find the figure she was looking for, so she resigned herself to a corner to eat.
After taking over Morningview Group, she worked at the Royal Delight during the day, and after returning home at night, she still had to handle Morningview Group’s matters, so her meals were never regular.
Once seated, she finished off a full plate of food and then went back for more.
For some reason, ever since she arrived, Summer had felt like a pair of eyes were staring at her.
But, when she turned her head to glance around, she didn’t see a familiar figure.
Summer stared at the crowd of guests walking back and forth in front of her for a while, losing her focus.
Marshall was still helping her manage Morningview Group’s clients, with his young and eloquent self, even when he met a big President of some company, he didn’t lose his composure.
Adrian’s assistants were truly diligent, and even when Adrian wasn’t around, they earnestly helped Summer Sutton.
After Summer had filled her stomach, Marshall beckoned her over from afar and introduced her to several business moguls, all legendary figures.
These connections were all established when Adrian was around, and now that he wasn’t in the picture, Marshall hoped Summer could make more acquaintances to ease future company management.
Summer Sutton didn’t particularly enjoy socializing, but after taking over Morningview Group, she had to gradually accept these obligations.
"Mr. Wood, hello, I’m the current head of Morningview Group, Summer Sutton!" Smiling, she gracefully extended her hand and greeted the person Marshall had introduced.
She hadn’t attended many business soirees before; today was practically her first time taking the lead herself.
