Puchi!
The sound of flesh being pierced echoed in Corey's soul, and although it was not loud. It was like thunder in the ears of Pamela.
Pamela was shaken out of her immensely focused state, and she looked behind her with a baffled expression.
"Corey?"
Her eyes shook as her pupils reflected the image of a pure white sword engraved with numerous formations, piercing through Corey's left hand and then piercing through his chest.
The sword nearly pierced Corey's heart, and if it was just an inch lower, his heart would currently be with a hole.
The tip of the sword was barely touching Prima's body, and the moment her gaze landed on the sword, her eyes widened in disbelief.
'These formations... They're so high level and complex. These can't be Mystic grade formations or Immortal grade formations... Divine grade formations... These are god level formations.'
'Damn it.'
'Is a god attacking us again?! Or the universe itself?'
Pamela looked up at Corey, and she saw him having a cold but calm expression as he stared at the figure holding the sword.
Pamela shifted her gaze to the figure, and when she saw a boy that was not even up to sixteen standing before Corey, she was confused.
The boy who was no more than twelve years old was wearing a pristinely white suit with a white bow tie, and a pair of reading glasses on his face.
He had pure white eyes and pure white hair, and in his hand was a book.
He looked like the son of a modern royal family, and the only odd thing about him were his feet.
He wore no shoes.
"Chucky... So, I was right."
Pamela looked at Corey with a strange expression.
'Chucky? Like the terrifying doll in that horror movie? His name is Chucky?'
Pamela wanted to speak, but when Corey pulled out the sword from his chest, she went silent.
The figure, Chucky, tried to take his sword from Corey's grasp by using telekinesis, but Corey nonchalantly yanked the sword from Chucky's grasp. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Although Corey's expression was calm, she could sense how his aura was flickering and nearly going out.
He was in a lot of pain, but he still stood before her. And with his bare hands, he held the sword that would have killed her.
"Focus, Pamela. Continue what you were doing."
Corey's cold but calm voice drifted into her ears, and she was brought back to reality.
She shook her head slightly while closing her eyes, then she shifted her attention and gaze back to the Universal Brand.
Although she had been focusing on Corey, she had not stopped using the void rune and the cube of esoteric runes on the crimson eye.
However, because she was no longer advancing in her understanding of the two runes and because she was no longer pushing the two runes into the crimson eye with the same intensity, the crimson eye was trying to fight the runes.
"Oh, no you don't."
Pamela pushed forward, and the two runes slammed into the crimson eye, causing it to screech in pain.
Meanwhile, Chucky, who was the spirit of the Perceptual Nexus Repository had a deep frown on his face as he stared at Corey.
"How are you here?"
Corey calmly observed the sword and the divine runes on it with a tinge of intrigue in the depth of his eyes.
"Are you asking me how I'm standing and not screaming in pain?"
Chucky did not respond to Corey mainly because he could perceive the sarcasm in his voice.
Corey stretched out his hand, and Primus flew into his grasp.
He looked at Chucky, then he gave Chucky's sword to Primus to devour.
The pure white sword sank into Primus like quicksand, and Chucky's gaze darkened when he saw this.
It was a sword he spent years crafting with meticulous precision and care, and now it was being fed to another weapon.
How could he not be angry.
Primus could see the anger in Chucky's eyes, but he didn't care.
He merely tilted his head to the side, then he shifted his gaze behind him. He observed Pamela and the Universal Brand, and when he saw that Pamela and Prima had everything in control, he nodded slightly.
"Why don't we move away from here and not disturb those two."
Without giving Chucky a glance or even waiting for a response from Chucky, Corey snapped his fingers, and the two of them appeared in another location.
Where they were was far away from Pamela and the Universal Brand, and Chucky looked around.
When he saw that they were 'close' to a black hole, his expression became extremely solemn.
He shifted his gaze back to Corey, then he released a sigh.
"How did you know?"
Corey raised a brow. "I didn't. I just guessed."
Chucky frowned. "You just guessed? I have done nothing to show that I'll ever betray you, and I always did every task you gave me without fail, and I made sure that the Perceptual Nexus Repository was always functioning to the best of its ability. So why did you doubt me?"
Corey's lips curled up slightly, then he winced and look at his left chest. There was a gaping hole in it with no blood gushing out of it.
This was his spirit body, so having no blood gush out of his spiritual body was fine, but he could feel a certain energy from the weapon that was trying to devour his spirit.
'If I try to close the wound with my spiritual energy, the hole would widen and my spiritual energy would be devoured.'
'What an insidious formation, Chucky.'
Corey chuckled softly, then he calmly looked at Chucky.
"I won't say I didn't trust you. I trusted you, and just like you said, there was no reason for me not to trust you."
"Like you said, you did everything I told you to do without fail. And you never acted suspicious to me."
Chucky's frown deepened. "Then why? Why didn't you trust me?"
Corey pointed at his white eyes which now had a golden dot at the center.
"My eyes warned me about you."
