"It's because I'm a fragment of the spirit of the Universe. I was not lying when I said what you're doing would affect me too."

As soon as Chucky said these words, Corey's eyes flashed with a green and also orange hue.

Chucky's body emitted a deeper shade of green, signifying that he was telling the truth.

But the dim orange hue also signified to Corey that Chucky was lying to him about something or was trying to deceive or manipulate him.

'No. Since my Eyes of Truth and Judgement shows a green light, then that means he's telling the truth. But he's not telling the whole truth.'

'According to my Eyes of Omniscience, he's trying to deceive me by not telling me the whole truth.'

One might wonder why Corey's thoughts were shaken by the revelation that inside of him was a fragment or maybe even the entire spirit of their universe, but Corey was not so surprised by this because he had suspected such a thing before.

It was one of his wild suspicions in the past, and it was a suspicion that was not based on any fact but just his gut.

Ever since he awakened Chucky who was the acclaimed Spirit of the Perceptual Nexus Repository, which in turn, meant that Chucky was actually the spirit of his talent because the Perceptual Nexus Repository was not only composed of the Alchemy Anvil, the simulation room, or the Library of Records.

It was also composed of the numerous Stars of Consciousness.

His Sea of Consciousness had fused with the Perceptual Nexus Repository, and when Corey realized this, he realized just how unique Chucky was.

Chucky was not just the spirit of the Perceptual Nexus Repository, he was the spirit of his talent of Omniscience.

And because the core foundation of his Omniscience talent were the Stars of Consciousness, he believed that Chucky was most likely the spirit of the universe or even the Universal System itself.

The Universal System was said to be Omniscient by many individuals, and who was to say that him getting an Omniscient talent was not the Universal System splitting a part of its spirit or soul, and then giving it to him.

All of these were just suspicions and guesses, and Corey was not certain if he was right.

But, it seemed he was right about some of them.

"Hmm." Corey stroked his chin softly with a thoughtful expression as he looked at Chucky, then a few seconds later, he spoke.

"So, you're a fragment of the spirit of our Universe? Not a fragment of the Universal System's spirit?"

Chucky shook his head, and he quickly spoke. "I'm not the spirit of the Universal System. I'm a fragment of the Universe's spirit."

Corey closed his eyes for a moment before he opened them.

"I believe you, Chucky."

A relieved sigh instantly escaped Chucky's lips, but a second later, his face twisted in disbelief, horror, and pain.

SHING!

"ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!"

Chucky screamed in pain and fell on his knees with his severed right arm beside him.

"WHAT'S YOUR FUCKING PROBLEM?!"

Corey's lips curled up slightly, then he placed his spiritual sword on his shoulder.

"Tell me the entire truth, Chucky. Like I said, you can't hide the truth from me. Don't try to fool me."

Chucky's pupils trembled, and his lips quivered as he stared into Corey's frigid cold white eyes.

It was a gaze he was all too familiar with. A gaze he hated.

Chucky went silent and just stared at Corey with a blank gaze.

Corey raised a brow and decided to wait for some seconds, but when he saw that Chucky showed no signs of speaking, he released a disappointed sigh.

"Oh well. I guess this is it. Pamela is almost done with the Universal Brand, and that means you're the last living thing I need to kill in my soul."

Corey looked to the side, and his eyes reflected the sight of Pamela as she pushed the void rune and the cube of esoteric runes into the Universal Brand.

Primus and Prima were protecting her and cutting any tentacle that tried to kill her, and the screams of the crimson eye was getting louder and louder with every passing moment.

'75%. And you call me a monster. Only a monster can understand such high level runes to 75% as a Mystic Being... Even I could not do that.'

Corey shook his head slightly, then he shifted his attention back to Chucky.

He inhaled softly, then he took a step forward while lowering his spiritual sword.

"Last chance, Chucky. Tell me the full truth. What exactly are you? And why do you want to kill me so badly?" Corey said as he placed the spiritual sword by Chucky's neck, and Chucky looked at him.

An unwilling light flashed in his eyes for a moment before he looked down defeatedly and spoke.

"Your brother."

Corey frowned. "What?"

Chucky's voice drifted into his ears once again, and Corey froze with a deep frown.

"I am your brother."

Countless thoughts emerged in his mind, and at first he wondered if his father or mother had gotten a child in secret and out of wedlock.

But he immediately such thoughts because it made no sense and was obviously wrong.

How could his parents have a hidden child and the child became the spirit of the Perceptual Nexus Repository?

There were many reasons why this thought was wrong, and Corey immediately had another answer.

'My past life as the God of Shadows.'

Corey's expression became grave, and he could not help but look at Chucky with a complicated and baffled expression.

His Eyes of Truth and Judgement showed that he was saying the truth.

Chucky's body was covered in a green hue, and Corey instantly knew that Chucky was saying the truth.

But how was that possible?

How was Chucky his brother?

Corey had so many questions, and he did not even know where to start from.

"You... You were my brother in my past life?"

Chucky nodded softly.

"Yes. You were the God of Shadows, and I was the Sun God."
