After removing the memories he desired from the minds of the Devourers, Corey appeared in his room in the Headquarters of Neon.

He looked around to make sure that nobody was spying on him, and when he found nothing, he exhaled softly and sat on his chair.

He closed his eyes with a pained expression, and moments later, gray blood began streaming from the corners of his eyes.

A drop of gray blood hung on his chin, and then it slowly fell to the ground. The moment it touched the floor, a ripple appeared on the floor and then it vanished.

Corey exhaled softly, and then he opened his palm. A drop of gray blood appeared in his palm, and Corey observed it for a few seconds before he sent it into his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

Corey leaned into his chair, and closed his eyes once again as he regulated the mental exhaustion and pain he was feeling in his eyes.

Although it seemed like he had won the battle against Prince, Jamal and the remaining Devourers with ease, it was not as easy as it seemed.

From the moment Prince appeared before him, he had been analyzing Prince and simulating numerous battles between him, Prince, and the Devourers.

It was because he had so much time and had become much stronger compared to when he was a Tier 2 that the fight against Prince had not been more dangerous.

He unleashed Toxic Domain and filled his domain with the two poison skills he got from his advancement to Tier 3.

Chimeric Venom and Eldritch Plague.

Chimeric Venom was a passive skill that allowed his poisonous mana to temporarily evolve depending on the enemies he was fighting.

As for Eldritch Plague, it was capable of infecting thoughts and emotions. It caused one to experience hallucinations, paranoia, or even madness.

With his Toxic Domain which allowed him to create an area saturated with hyper-concentrated poison, these two poisonous skills became more powerful than they were meant to.

After increasing the proficiency level of his Toxic Domain to the Master level from the Expert level, he was able to make his Toxic Domain to improve the concentration and power of his poisons to a level where it began affecting Tier 5s.

Although this was beyond impressive and would be enough for weak Tier 5s and Tier 4s, he knew that it was not enough to defeat Jamal and Prince, especially Prince.

Just like he told Prince, the best method he came up with to handle Prince's overpowered skill was to place his skill under an illusion.

However, doing this was not easy and not just any skill could do this.

He had a powerful illusion skill, Infinite Mirage, but it could definitely not do what it wanted.

Putting Prince's devouring skill in an illusion was only possible by his Tri-Pupil Eyes.

After he obtained a breakthrough in his understanding of time and space, he awakened his second golden triangular pupil and obtained two new abilities.

The first was that he could see the past of living and non-living things.

And the second was that he could place people in illusions. This ability seemed like that of his skill, Infinite Mirage, but it was much more powerful than it because it not only affected the physical senses of the targeted individual(s), it also affected the spiritual senses and the soul of the targeted individual.

With his Tri-Pupil Eyes, his Stars of Consciousness, and his Cosmic Soul, he was able to successfully place Prince's devouring skill in an illusion.

However, the cost of using the ability was extremely high.

When he was a Tier 2, he knew that he could barely use the ability once, even with his Cosmic Soul, Infinity Crystals, and extremely high stats.

After becoming a Tier 3 and fusing with two Infinity Crystals, he could use the ability for a longer period of time, however, the energy cost was still immense and absurd.

In fact, the main reason why he was able to maintain the ability for so long was because he was using it on Prince's devouring skill which was barely sentient.

If he decided to use it on Prince or any Tier 4 or Tier 5, he was not sure if he would be able to use it for more than a minute or two.

This was the reason why his eyes bled as soon as he appeared in his room. Even his body was wracked in pain and his mental energy was nearly drained.

What Corey did not know was that even for Paragons, the illusion ability of the Tri-Pupil Eyes was not meant to be used as a mortal or even a low-level Mystic Being.

Even some talented Paragons could not use this ability until they became high level Mystic Beings.

The reasons why Corey could even use the ability was because of his Cosmic Soul, his talent, and also his past life as a god.

These three were the reasons why he could use the ability of the Tri-Pupil Eyes.

Corey closed his eyes and rested on the chair for ten minutes. Numerous thoughts appeared in his mind, and after ten minutes, he opened his eyes.

His eyes turned pure white, and then countless runes began appearing in his room.

The runes flew around his room and then landed on the walls. His walls glowed with countless runes, and a runic circle also appeared around him.

Moments later, the runes vanished and the glow in his room disappeared.

"That should do it. Hopefully, no Tier 5 or Tier 6 tries to sneak into my room or launch an attack on me or else I don't think this formation can protect me."

"Well, I still have my Hexagon Nova Shield as a last resort."

Corey shook his head, and then he tapped his U-Watch. He sent a message to Divine, and then he closed his eyes and entered his Perceptual Nexus Repository.

Meanwhile, hidden in Divine's room.

Divine stood in what seemed like a smithy, however, the equipment in the smithy were unlike what most would see in traditional smithies.

Advanced technology equipment mixed with traditional equipment were in the smithy, and Divine stood before a fiery furnace with no shirt and not a tinge of sweat on his body.

A beep resounded from his U-Watch, causing Divine to pause his actions. He tapped it, and moments later, he frowned.

"Who the hell is Lydia?"
