Sinner System-Chapter 445: Calamity Raids (Part 3)
Point-of-View: Ariella Velle

"This is way too easy. Also, really damn gross, these things are so disgusting," Sighed Brid, shaking his fists to get bits of slime off his hands.
"Yeah, this definitely isn’t what I expected. If the Dungeon continued following this current pattern, we’re bound to end up facing a pretty powerful Boss. But, well, we were expecting to encounter a Calamity Level Monster in the Boss Room anyway, so it shouldn’t be anything we aren’t prepared for," I remarked, as I stretched my arms out.
We had just cleared the first sixty floors of the Dungeon, with eighty-two left to go. We’d faced nothing but Slimes for the first forty-seven floors, and since then, it’s been a mix of Giant Slimes, Fire Slimes, Water Slimes, Electric Slimes and Frost Slimes.
Not sure what to make of this. Low Level Monsters in a Calamity Level Dungeon are completely unheard of, even Mid Level Monsters are fairly rare.
It’s usually mostly High Levels, a number of Critical Levels, and then a Calamity Level Dungeon Boss. So, this is more than a little unusual, to say the least.
We know that the Demon Lord’s ability to create Dungeons has limitations, could that be what’s at play here? Like, maybe raising five Calamity Level Dungeons at the same time needed a tradeoff of having much lower difficulty levels?
It’s hard to say for sure, especially since there’s a lot more ground to cover. We can’t rule anything out. We have no real way to prove exactly what’s going on, so instead of wasting time considering hypotheticals, we should just focus on continuing to move forward.
"I’m definitely not complaining about how easy it has been, particularly considering that there’s no guarantee it’ll stay that way," Remarked Rex dryly.
"Yeah, well, I don’t like it. Slimes are the worst Monsters to blow up, the explosions get all muffled, so that satisfying boom I’m after doesn’t happen," Ciel sighed wistfully.
"Based on this current pattern, we probably won’t start running into any High Level Monsters until around the ninety-fifth floor, but there’s every possibility that things won’t stick to the pattern, so let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves," I advised the others, before adding as I glanced at Cleo, "How are you holding up so far?"
"H-Huh? I, um...I’m okay," She nodded in response.
She does seem to be doing fine on stamina, she isn’t the slightest bit winded or worn out, at least not as far as I can see.
Well, considering her stats, she probably has the greatest energy reserves of everyone here. Actually, probably in the entire world, seeing as how her base stats are even higher than Kai’s.
She’s been using some of her Skills that give her ranged attacks, but honestly, most of us here could probably have soloed our way through this Dungeon upto this point. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
It really is hard to stay sharp when you’re up against Monsters that pose little to no threat to you.
Well, I suppose there’s nothing to do but keep going, we’ve still got a ton of ground to cover. We’re making great progress so far, thanks to how easy it’s been, but the hard part’s yet to come...

I stepped forward and swung my right arm across, blasting about a dozen Elemental Harpies away with a powerful burst of Ether, before a barrage of attacks came shooting out from behind me, peppering the Monsters and killing them.
My gaze shifted across as a Flame Harpy survived the volley and shot towards me from the left, before I fired out a rapid, piercing beam of Ether, hitting the middle of its head and bursting through before it could even get near me.
This is not enough...more, I need to kill a lot more of them, I-...!
"Gotta say, I’m not used to relying on someone else during a raid, usually it’s everyone else mostly relying on me," Grinned Beatriz, as she walked over and smacked my shoulder.
"<Well, these are rather weak Monsters, so this is hardly praiseworthy>," I replied with a wry smile.
"Yeah, it definitely has been unusually easy so far. We’re just about halfway through and we haven’t encountered anything stronger than Mid Level so far," She sighed in response.
Yes, this has been much easier than the Chief suggested it would be, and based on the reactions from Beatriz and the others in this team, it’s definitely unusual.
This Dungeon has one hundred and forty-eight floors, we only encountered Harpies across the first fifty floors, which the humans classify as Low Level Monsters.
We were currently on the seventy-fifth floor, and over the last twenty-five floors, we’ve encountered Flame, Electric and Wind Harpies only, all Mid Level Monsters.
Something isn’t right here. The Demon Lord is a cautious bastard, it does not make sense that he would waste so many of his forces for nothing, even among the weaker species.
There is more to this, I can feel it.
Perhaps this is to lull us into a false sense of security? To make us think that this will be an easy matter, only to sharply spike in difficulty later on?
No, that is far too obvious and predictable. If he were that simplistic, we never would have lost the war to him, so I have little doubt that there is more at play here than it seems.
"Think we should take a break before we continue on? I’m good to keep going a while longer," Remarked Beatriz, before glancing at the others, some of them looking rather worn out.
"<I am fine as well, but yes, I believe we should take a break. I believe we’ve made rather decent progress so far, so I see no reason to rush>," I replied, after mulling it over.
"Yeah, fair enough. No point in pushing ourselves too much, don’t want anyone too drained by the time we get to the upper floors," She nodded in agreement.
