Chapter 395: Another Two Weeks

One of the projects that Jace was keeping secret was something he was calling Tattoo-Tech. Just a temporary name until he came up with something better. Because as he had already realized, he was horrible at coming up with names on the spot. So until he came up with a better name it would act as something temporary.

The idea was an adaptation of the Xenar technology that interacted with the nanosystem and allowed him to summon the sword. The tattoo of which he had on his shoulder. Even after his evolution that tattoo was still there. The disappearing tattoo on his hand still existed as well.

Using those two tattoos as an example he was building up a theory and idea how to recreate them. So far he was only in the theoretical stage. Before he could even start implementing it he first needed to work on the core theory behind this new technology.

Dimensional Tech.

Dimensional technology was something that would open a whole new door. But first he needed to prove the theory he had regarding it. Which is what he was doing now. Or rather he was creating a device that would prove his theories.

It would prove that he could move items in and out of a remote pocket dimension that is attached to a device. The theoretical pocket dimension should be accessible anywhere using the device. Because the device would only act like a gateway or terminal.

Finding and creating a pocket dimension was not difficult, at least compared to having to find separate pocket dimensions for each unique device. Eventually he decided it would just be a better idea to have the device create a temporary stable dimension instead of finding a unique one for each device.

To this end he began building a device that acted as the prototype. Hopefully the final design would be much smaller. But for now he would just try and get it to work no matter how bulky it was.

The first version he was working on now would cover the arm from the wrist to the elbow. There were so many parts and necessary pieces to this device that he needed to create a smaller printing device so he could print the smaller parts.

In the device were a number of complex devices. The first of which was a battery, or rather an energy storage device. This device was similar to the one they had made for his new hoverbike. It just needed to be changed for the smaller design while it also needed to be able to use a burst of power at one time.

There was an energy usage issue with the components that would temporarily open a pocket dimension. There was no issue actually maintaining it since the dimension would exist as long as something was inside of it. But creating a temporary rift in space was complicated.

But Jace was already having ideas about ways to condense it when he actually got around to finishing it. For now he was in the testing phase of this technology. Fortunately he had not created a miniature black hole by accident. But it was still trouble to deal with what it was doing. Which was causing temporary gravity issues just in the garage fortunately.

The only other issue was that some material was needed to properly store the stray strange energy. So he needed to find some catalyst or medium that could complete this ’circuit’ that he was creating. Otherwise the items he tried to store would just decay and slowly be destroyed.

"Father! Father! Father!" Jace sighed and turned around as Cho called out to him. She was jumping up and down as her tail wagged behind her. She was absolutely ecstatic today. Because today was her and Jordan’s first day of ’general school’. A concept that the Victorium were requiring.

Basically all levels of society get some form of education. All of the human countries used to have something similar at one point. It would allow children to go through life and learn basic knowledge before either going into the workforce or going to another place for further education.

The Victorium Government required a basic system of education that would force individuals to undergo tests before they were considered members of the workforce. It was a clever idea to make sure all members of a society were able to undergo a basic education. It clearly did not prevent innate stupidity. As was the case with the tacole who were very lacking because of the genetic editing that the sima had done to them.

The form that the Vexical, and in turn the other human countries that were being inducted into the Victorium, had adopted were a single education style. All children, from ages six to thirteen, would be going to one of these General Schools. They would basically be going to the General School until they left for the Academy.

The Academies were staying the same this year as well because it was too late to change them this year. But next year there would be two sets of academies while the amount of years the students would stay in the current military academy would increase by one.

The current military academy was the Advanced Military Academy, they would consist of four years of education and training before the students would be required to enter the Vexical Militia for a few years to pay off the debt for their training.

The new military academy would require everyone that is a citizen to undergo training and testing. It was already designated the General Military Academy. They would go to the academy for a single year before choosing their path. During this year they would learn how to defend themselves and how to use weapons regardless of their status or species. One path which would be the Advanced Military Academy.

Both Academy’s training would also change to include non-nanohumans and other species that are based in their territories. This would be especially important since races native to the Victorium were already coming to live in human territories. A main requirement was that they make accommodations so these ’other’ races could do the same things as humans. Although the tacole were already clearly struggling since they were much wider.

Another path that they could take would be the Advanced Studies Academy. They would bridge the gap between the General Military Academy and University if that is their chosen path. It took up the same amount of time as the Advanced Military Academy. But unlike the military academy, the Studies Academy is completely voluntary. Students can drop out at any time.

It was definitely going to be a giant change that would see the Vexical Militia gaining more of a variety in its ranks. Not that Jace would mind. He preferred it that way so he could exploit those differences for his team’s advantages.

"I can see you two are ready. When does the bus arrive to pick you up?" Jace asked as he glanced at the entrance to the building where the garage was open. At the moment Allie was standing with a small bag that contained a change of clothes and her essentials. In her hand is a data pad as she studies. She was similarly waiting for the bus to take her to the military academy.

"Mhmm... four- no, five minutes!" Cho answered in excitement causing Jordan to quietly chuckle. Cho was clearly the more outgoing of the two girls. But Jordan was clearly trying to be just as outgoing as Cho. But she was clearly constantly nervous all the time. Almost like the floor might fall out from under her.

"It looks like you girls are ready. Now you remember the rules right?" Jace asked as he crouched so he was on eye level with them. Ignoring the device he was tinkering with. He could see their eyes glaze over for a second, causing Jace to roll his eyes. "Cho, no mind reading or telepathy. You cannot use any of your powers either. Neither of you should solve problems with fists, try words first. Listen to your teachers and remember to take notes during class."

"Okay!" Cho answered loudly while Jordan made a hand signal with a positive response. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Good, now let’s go say buy to Allie one last time." Jace told them and they walked over to join Allie. As they walked out he spotted a military jeep pulling up and parking on the other side of the street. He then watched as a human Vexical Militia soldier stepped out. But then he was blocked from seeing him as a bus pulled up.

"Goodbye Allie!" Cho hugged one of Allie’s legs and her younger sister Jordan hugged her other leg.

Allie gave them both half hugs after crouching down and then looked at the bus that arrived to pick her up. "Stay safe you two! Make sure Jace eats his food!"

"Hehehe!" Cho giggled as Allie grabbed her bag and then ran up the ramp and onto the bus. The doors closed and then it drove off.

"Sir!" Jace looked over at the soldier that was holding a wooden case.

"What’s wrong?"
