A team of well-trained special forces surrounded the entire city-level psychiatric hospital, as the sky was still shrouded in gray dawn.

The entire building was monitored layer by layer in complete silence, from the stairway entrance to the corridors, and even every door was guarded. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

They communicated only with their eyes, without using guns, yet they wore sharp weapons. The terrified doorman was taken to the fifth floor, trembling as he wondered what was happening. When he thought of notifying the on-duty doctor immediately, he was already picked up like a chick.

Hua Qingyi walked behind Xiao Lin, wearing a Dragon Soul uniform and military boots, with a hat bearing the Dragon Soul insignia on his head. Xiao Lin's eyes glinted coldly as he nodded to the special forces beside him, who then pushed the doorman in front.

"Open the door." The doorman was startled. He wanted to look up at the young man but dared not be too conspicuous, not making any move. "Open the door." Xiao Lin repeated.

"I... I don't have the key." The doorman then remembered where he was, pointing towards the room at the other end of the fifth floor. "The on-duty doctor has it."

"Go call him." Without any superfluous words, Xiao Lin stepped aside to make way for the middle-aged man.

"This..." After meeting Xiao Lin's icy gaze, the doorman pressed the doorbell on the iron door. "No one is answering."

Xiao Lin raised an eyebrow at the iron door. "Press it again."

Even without his order, the doorman would continue; having someone take over was always better. These people didn't seem easy to deal with. The explosion had just happened in the afternoon, and now they came in the middle of the night. It seemed he needed to find a new job.

Xiao Lin patiently waited by the door, pulling his hat low to cover most of his face. Fifteen minutes passed until footsteps were finally heard coming from inside. He stepped back, blending into the crowd.

"Da Liu, what's up? Do you know what time it is now?" A doctor with disheveled hair, like a chicken's nest on his head, opened the door barefoot in slippers. "Hey, who are you people?"

Seeing a person in military uniform at the door, the doctor was also shocked and blocked the doorway, not intentionally but truly confused.

"Are you the on-duty doctor today?" Hua Qingyi adjusted his hat brim as the doorman stepped aside, trying to sneak away but was caught.

"Who are you, breaking in here in the middle of the night? Do you have..."

"Are you the on-duty doctor today? If not, call out someone in charge." Hua Qingyi raised a hand to look at the badge on the white coat, showing he was an intern student.

"Wait a moment." The intern, instantly sober, ran inside. The lounge on this side looked quite spacious. Hua Qingyi stood at the door, glancing disdainfully at the doorman. "Take him downstairs for now; I'll question him later."

"Yes!" A soldier was already pushing the middle-aged man down the stairs, who shouted about being a lawful citizen as he went.

"What's going on?" Shortly thereafter, a bespectacled person walked out. "Who are you people, breaking into a city hospital at night is illegal, you know? Do you have any authorization?"

"What's your last name?" Hua Qingyi stepped back, staring intently at this person.

"My last name is Zhou, I'm a senior doctor here."

"Very well!" Hua Qingyi showed his identification. "Open the door opposite."

Dr. Zhou glanced at the ID card, handing it back to Hua Qingyi. "What does this prove? What department is Dragon Soul? I don't know. If you want to conduct a search, present a warrant."

Hua Qingyi immediately laughed. "Dragon Soul's operations don't need such things."

"How do I know what you're doing? Even the police aren't this sneaky when conducting raids." Faced with this situation, Dr. Zhou couldn't help but hesitate, unsure of what was happening. "We have no ordinary patients here. If a patient escapes because of this chaos, who will take responsibility?"

Realizing this person was troublesome, Hua Qingyi didn't say much more but gestured to several others, and two soldiers immediately stepped forward to grab Dr. Zhou.

"What are you doing?" Dr. Zhou was terrified by the sudden turn of events. "What right do you have to arrest me? Do you have any evidence?"

"Shut him up." Xiao Lin stepped forward from the side, punching Dr. Zhou hard in the head. "This guy really needs a beating."

The man fell limp to the ground, and the stunned intern stood there, unsure of what to do, wanting to step forward but afraid of receiving the same treatment, bewildered by the people in front of him.

"Go and open the door." Xiao Lin ordered the doctor.

"That door really can't be opened. Dangerous patients are confined there; it will cause problems." The intern fearfully tried to retreat into the room.

Xiao Lin and Hua Qingyi exchanged glances, and Hua Qingyi approached the intern. "It's two hours until work begins, what time does your director usually arrive?" Making things difficult for an intern seemed unreasonable.

"Nine o'clock."

"Nine o'clock?" Xiao Lin glanced inside and nodded to Hua Qingyi. This was the time Wu Shuang's team was supposed to enter, so there should be no issue. "You stay here on guard, if anything unexpected happens, eliminate the threat."

"Yes!"

"So, do I have nothing to do now?" The intern had already stepped fully back inside the door.

"Heh heh!" Hua Qingyi chuckled. "Come with us for a moment."

"To where?" The intern's legs went weak; he couldn't move.

A soldier lifted him, leading the way downstairs, with Hua Qingyi and Xiao Lin following behind. From confirming the news to dispatching the operation, it was only a bit over an hour, yet he looked uneasily at the room behind the iron door.

The intern was brought to the lobby on the ground floor, where the lights were fully on. He sat in a chair, too afraid to look up at the two standing in front of him.

"How long have you been here?" Xiao Lin first asked.

"Six months."

"How is it here?"

"Lots of patients, the doctors all..."

"I advise you to tell the truth, what's really going on here?" Hua Qingyi suddenly cut in, standing with arms crossed. "We received a distress signal; is there any unspeakable secret here?"

"No, really no." The intern instinctively shrank inward, which Xiao Lin noticed.
