Chapter 162: Is My Sister With You?

Guys, my mother had an operation and I didn’t have time to update properly! Now I’ll edit the Chapters

Lucien’s POV

I was not in the mood to attend any part. However, I wished to take a glimpse at Sera, at how she’d look in those evening gowns. I wanted to breathe in her beauty and not forget about that ever again.

However, what I had not expected was such a big family drama.

Melissa was making life hard for everyone, especially Seraphina, as she was continuously targeting Seraphina and trying to demean her at every chance she got.

But what made me annoyed was the fact that some Sean guy’s name was taken alongside Sera’s name.

Thankfully, he had denied the whole marriage thing.

I was already controlling myself not to lose composure, but when Seraphina ran out of there all alone in the cold night, it made me feel a deep ache in my heart.

"Hah!" I couldn’t help but scoff. "You guys are too much." My tone was full of mockery as I rolled my eyes at the commotion that was going on.

"You guys are so bad! Treating the diamond like a coal!" With these words, I ran out of the baquet as well.

I didn’t wish to stay at the place where there was no Seraphina. I started to look for her everywhere. But I couldn’t find her anywhere.

I was still running around everywhere when my eyes fell on a person in a wheelchair. The person looked extremely familiar, but I couldn’t remember if I knew anyone who was who couldn’t walk.

In the end, I followed that person to see if he was the person I was thinking of.

If he really was the same person... Then, how could he become like that!? Why was he not able to walk?

A lot ot questions ran through my mind, but in the end, all I could do was follow him with a doubt in mind that I’d find the person I was looking for. And I was right, she was really there... Seraphina, who was looking at the sky and trying to calm herself down.

But when she heard Adrian’s voice and the moment her eyes fell on him, she got all emotional, but there was also a hint of shock in her eyes that I couldn’t tell where it came from.

I wanted to walk to them and hear what they were talking about and come face to face with Adrian, who had made me come close to his own sister. The very sister, his other two brothers were way too protective. But this guy, he deliberately pushed me toward Seraphina.

However, I stopped myself. Not because I want the siblings to have an emotional reunion, but because I could tell that Sera was not in her right mind.

As they exchanged a few words and then... She ran away from there.

Seraphina ran aimlessly in her heels, holding her gown up enough for her to make it easy. I instantly went to my car and slowly followed her, not letting her know that I was right behind her.

I didn’t know what happened, and why she was losing over her emotions. I was well aware that she had loved her brothers deeply and... She might have been devastated seeing her brother in such a situation, but running this far away really stunned me.

However, what shocked me the most was the things she muttered to herself.

What was she talking about? Being reincarnated or reborn? What was that supposed to mean?

There were a lot of questions running through my mind, but I kept my cool and waited for her to catch her breath.

"You..." She finally opened her mouth. "How long had you been following me? Or when did you come here?" She almost stormed at me with questions, but I interjected, simply telling her that I was just passing by and caught her running on the road.

"I just couldn’t see you all alone in the middle of the night, so I couldn’t help but stop the car for you." I further added.

"I’m sorry for making you worried, but..." She paused for a while and then glanced at me. "Brother Adrian... He... He came back and was in a wheelchair," she choked on her own words and couldn’t continue as tears brimmed in her eyes.

"I saw," I responded plainly. "I’m really sorry for whatever happened to him, but... Why are you in such a state? What if something happens to you? Sean and Melissa are still dangerous for you, and you must keep yourself safe, you see..."

"He wasn’t supposed to be in this state in the first place!" I was still talking when Seraphina blurted out as she looked down, rubbing her hands together.

"What does that mean?" I arched my brows and made her look at me. "How are you so confident that he shouldn’t have been in a wheelchair?"

"I..." Her lips moved, trembling a little, but she didn’t say anything.

I waited for her to continue, but she still didn’t!

"Do you really think that I couldn’t take the truth, or do you not trust me enough to tell me what’s going on?" I pronounced coldly. There were a lot of things I wanted to tell and say to her, but that’s when my fucking cell phone rang.

I was annoyed at first and was about to throw the cell phone out of the car, but when my eyes fell on the name flashing on the screen, I couldn’t help but drop the idea.

"What is it!?" I demanded icily.

"Is my sister with you?" An equally cold voice came through the receiver.

"And why should I answer to you?" I rolled my eyes as I replied.
