SSS Awakening: Creating Primordial Beasts To Be My Summons-Chapter 31: Eclipse Swooper
A dense, silvery-gray wave of Null energy, invisible to any eyes, surged from Cohen and plunged into the Dark Swooper.
The energy, before the conversion began, merged with the rampaging mana within it.
That amplified the Null essence, strengthening the newly baptised monster immensely.
The resultant power overwhelmed the controlled conversion.
A violent surge erupted from the Dark Swooper.
The rune-bound restraints snapped instantly, bursting into smoke with a deafening crack.
A heartbeat later, Farid’s barrier shattered.
It flared brilliantly for a fleeting moment, then exploded outward in a cascade of invisible shockwaves.
The beast stood free, radiating a chaotic, dark energy, its conversion now complete.
[-473 NP!]
[You have obtained 5 stat points!]
Its frame had grown slimmer and sharper, its long, extended neck giving it an unnatural, predatory elegance.
Its body had turned into a lightless, polished black—absorbing all light—while faint gold veins pulsed beneath the surface.
Its eyes burned as solid orange-gold orbs, with no pupils.
The beast stood free.
No longer the same creature.
It radiated a chaotic, suffocating darkness—its evolution complete.

Race: Eclipse Swooper
Tier: Epic
Level: 27
Traits:
[Eclipse Frame: Mid-dive, photons deflect around it. It becomes nearly invisible to the naked eye during descent, visible only as a moving darkness and the brief corona flare at the moment of impact.]
[Corona Strike – When it descends at full speed, the talons carry both crushing void-null force and a rim of solar detonation on contact, it erases and burns simultaneously. Armor integrity drops against it because the void component strips protective energy while the solar component punches through physical resistance.]
[Eclipse Consumption – Light is absorbed and stored as solar energy, extending the Swooper’s flight and boosting its aerial performance. The brighter the environment, the stronger and longer it can remain in the air. It can also gorge on light in a single surge, instantly refueling itself — but the overload tears through its body, causing visible strain and internal damage.]
Skills:
[Void-Infecting Shadow – The shadow it casts carries void weight, passively weakening anything it touches. It can manipulate this shadow.]

’This is a fucking jackpot! Not only did I spend less NP than with Blight, but I also obtained more stat points than I expected. Fuck that damned Elk.’
Cohen watched the Eclipse Swooper, as majestic as it was, bowed to his level.
He patted its head and immediately decided, "You will be called Ragon."
Ragon let out a growl that softened into a whimper, its complex structure barely hiding its smile.
’Fondling over me after I beat you is quite funny,’ Cohen mused.
Seeing the transformed creature whimpering in front of Cohen, Farid and the lady had interesting assumptions.
Farid was genuinely excited as he murmured, "Thank goodness. He really is capable... Herman, you’re one blessed fool."
The lady wore a look of shock, her brain trying to comprehend what had just happened.
"It evolved to that? And... It’s even bowing to him right now?! That slime too, it’s Epic tier?!! What am I witnessing..."
She looked at Farid, wanting to see his reaction.
"You don’t look surprised?!"
Farid smiled.
"He’s not only the best warrior’s run, but also an Outlier. And based on what I’ve heard, even the guild ranks him as S+ potential. Of course, this is classified."
The lady’s mouth was still slightly open, turning to look at Cohen, who calmly walked at them.
Bobby was bouncing in front of its new comrade, the beast lowering its head as if being lectured.
’Well, congratulations on experiencing mythical greatness,’ Cohen thought, recalling this was the first time people observed his Baptism.
He smiled at the two. "That’s it."
Farid knew not to linger on Cohen’s abilities.
He turned to the lady beside him.
"That went smoothly. Thanks for your services. I’ll get back to you once I’m done here."
Suppressing her curiosity, she bowed towards him.
"Anything for you, Captain. I’ll see you later."
Then, she moved towards the gate which the Awakened had used to exit earlier.
Farid closed the gate and gave Cohen an approving look.
"That’s an early investment. I’ll find other ways to make you stronger."
"I can’t wait," Cohen replied. "So, can I know the details of how I’ll be helping you?"
"That," Farid nodded. "To cause a distraction for Vanguard and the Spire, I plan to exaggerate existing variables."
"That sounds easy," Cohen said.
"We should conclude this while sitting," Farid suggested. "But before that..."
His eyes moved to Ragon that was now looking at them.
"Oh, right."
Cohen extended his hand to Ragon, a larger black and yellow gate opening in the hall, leaving it to go in.
Since Bobby was calmer than it was than earlier, when Cohen fought Stein, he let it stay by him.
The slime bounced its way to Cohen’s head, waving at Farid.
The tall man exchanged smiles with Cohen as they both moved out.
The hall fell silent once more.
Only the faint hum of active gates lingered in the air.

The next day.
The Outliers were already on the field for their next session. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
They were at a distance not far from the mountain’s safety circle.
The trees here were not as tall as deeper into the wild, but their crowns were dense, blocking the sunlight.
As usual, after their indoor training, the planned session today was Monster Hunt.
And unlike before, the day’s monster Hunt was in the Wild.
Even more different, there were uncommon magitech present.
Four dark-metal orbs, with etched runes that faintly glowed amber, and a small, reinforced crystal lens fixed into their surfaces.
Two new officials were present solely to operate these floating orbs.
The orbs were currently linked to an app created by Heavenly Spire.
Occasionally, streams like this were hosted to spread feats of the Heavenly Spire.
’Everything is going like Farid said so far, a stream to prove the efficiency and stability of Outliers.’
Cohen reflected on the plan, standing in the front lines of the Outliers who were listening to Brawn’s explanation.
"Just treat this like any other session.
"You’ll be hunting some of the monsters that have migrated closer to the safer zones.
"Let’s all move with decency to avoid unwanted situations."
The Outliers were oddly quieter than usual under the constant watch for the majority of the Heavenly Spire.
Cohen, using his Perception of Gray, paid attention to Stein.
Stein was at the other end of the front lines, with the five other people who made up his party.
Stein’s gaze was concentrated, his face more serious than the arrogant look he had yesterday.
The young man was already enhancing his body, eager to depart from these discussions.
’Red Energy... We didn’t have enough time to discuss it,’ Cohen thought. ’But an energy that enhances in exchange for eventual degeneration. Desperation, huh?’
Brawn’s call snapped Cohen out of his thoughts.
"You may move on."

Darting into the fray, Cohen let Bobby go on its own, claiming he was letting it scout.
But truthfully, he was just trying to watch other Outliers.
One of them will be going haywire today.
And he had to be ready.
