Aren’s eyes finally snapped open, he looked up and found himself lying on Athena’s legs while she looked down at him with worry in her eyes.

When she saw that he was awake, her expression immediately lit up.

"Aren," she called out, face full of glee and happiness, she grabbed his head.

"I’m fine, sorry for scaring you," Aren said, he grunted and pushed himself up then looked at his arm, the wolf guard was still there but it had changed in looks for the first time, with a red pattern now fixed on it, and there was a significant difference in the aura that it emitted now.

’It feels way stronger now.’ Aren thought, he got on his feet and turned around, looking at the distance, he pulled his arm back, and then swung with everything that he had, unleashing a powerful claw arc, the largest and fastest that he had ever used, it was at least twenty feet tall, and ripped through everything, grass, ground and all.

The ground exploded, debris everywhere, and in every direction, and it didn’t stop until it was out of sight completely.

"Nice," Aren muttered, feeling extremely happy in the change in power, there were a ton of other things that the guard could do now.

He pulled up the system screen in an attempt to check it, but then the ground started rumbling underneath them. It took them by surprise.

Aren and Athena looked around, they couldn’t find anything, but that was when Aren noticed that the Angel at the top of the mountain was moving, she was slowly pulling her sword from the depths of the mountain.

The entire mountain trembled, everything shook, and a massive pressure exploded from the mountain like a wave, it swept across the entire land, uprooting trees and ripping grass out of the ground.

Aren looked at this Angel as it pulled its sword out, wondering what was really going on right now. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"What does this trial require from us? Elton hasn’t said anything." Aren said, he looked at the mountain, they had no other choice but to head there and see what was happening.

"Let’s head to the mountain," Aren said.

Athena looked at it, the angel was still moving, why would they want to go there? But she always believed in Aren regardless.

"Alright, let’s go," she said.

They charged in that direction, both of them, they didn’t try to run too fast, it would be useless to burn so much energy.

Suddenly, the system screen of everyone that had made it here lit up, showing a message.

"Sixty minutes to what?" Aren wondered, but he didn’t need to go too far before the answer came.

Everyone that was here could see this message, the detail of what the trial was had now finally come. But what this was wasn’t like any other trial they had faced, this time they had to stop a threat that would kill all of them, but there was an issue.

"They ensure to say the reward for the person that kills the angel will be heavily rewarded, they are doing what they have always done, set us against each other," Aren said as they ran, he could tell what the trial wanted and he didn’t like that one bit.

"It’s like we can never escape this stupid cycle of them using us like playthings," Aren said, his anger showing.

"So what do you plan to do?" Athena asked.

"End this as fast as possible, I’m not giving the gods any show," Aren said.

Aren got a message that he didn’t expect, he frowned for a moment.

Not long after the Angel pulled from the mountain, the massive statue raised its blade once again and stabbed down into the mountain at full strength.

The stabbing caused the air to tremble, the mountain began cracking, huge cracks appearing, and instantly from the depths of the mountains, werewolves of all sizes rushed out, as well as wyverns into the sky, and their number wasn’t small.

They rushed out in hundreds, massive, more and more and more. The sky was instantly blackened by their presence and the ground rumbled as the wolves rushed out.

Aren looked at this and palmed his face, "I guess that’s where the werewolves are from," he muttered.

"Do we have to fight everyone?" Athena asked.

"Well, it seems like it, we don’t really have a choice now do we?" Aren asked, he took another look at them, then said something else, "but I don’t plan to allow this to stop me from stopping this from dragging on for too long."

"We are breaking through, fast, hard and ensuring that we reach that angel," he said and then took one step forward, a massive shadow spread behind Aren, and from it, every shadow that he had began coming out in troops, a grand army behind him, massive and great.

Wolves, ants, goblins, werewolves, minotaurs, salamanders, wyverns, hydra, horned snakes, Riker, Raze, Casper, they all stood behind Aren and Athena, creating an awe inspiring look. The only one he didn’t summon was the giant.

"For the first time, I’ll go all out," Aren said, he summoned his ancient devourer and switched his wolf guard to the left hand.
