Standing Next To You-Chapter 288: The random c*****
Chapter 288: The random c*****
Bei Sangyun reached into the bag, unwrapped a snack, and gestured for Fei Chuan to take a bite.
Fei Chuan glanced at her, assuming she had taken the snack for herself and was offering him the first bite, as was their usual routine. He leaned down and took a small bite.
Bei Sangyun happily took another small bite after him, then gestured for Fei Chuan to take another.
Fei Chuan: "...."
It dawned on him that she was actually feeding him, a gesture common among lovers. His ears couldn’t help but turn red.
But he didn’t mind it and actually enjoyed it.
With seemingly unbothered expression, he took another bite and felt that the pastries Grandma Pei bake were more delicious than usual.
Meanwhile, in front of them, Zhong Cheng grew hungry and retrieved snacks he had purchased from locals, and started to eat.
He glanced at Lin Sunji, who looked pale and struggled to manage her hair in the cold wind. Offering her a snack, he asked, "Want one?"
The unfamiliar smell of the food only made Lin Sunji feel more nauseous. She shook her head, but even the motion made her feel queasy. She asked weakly, "...Are we there yet?"
"There’s still two hours and thirty minutes to go."
Lin Sunji: "...."
She had to endure this torture for that much longer?! She gritted her teeth and shot a glare at Zhong Cheng, convinced he had chosen this mode of transportation solely to make things difficult for her!
Zhong Cheng wasn’t as heartless as Lin Sunji had assumed. Recognizing her discomfort, he pulled out a bottle of peppermint oil from his pocket, specifically prepared for those prone to motion sickness.
"Here, smell this. It’ll make you feel better," he offered.
Lin Sunji eyed the peppermint oil with disdain. She had never stooped to using such cheap remedies and refused to entertain the idea. Ignoring Zhong Cheng, she turned away angrily.
But thirty minutes later, overcome by nausea, Lin Sunji found herself grasping Zhong Cheng’s arm and requesting the peppermint oil, her face pale.
After inhaling the minty scent and applying some to her temples as Zhong Cheng suggested, Lin Sunji indeed began to feel much better.
"It might help if you have some mint candy too. The strong flavor can distract you from feeling dizzy," Zhong Cheng suggested.
Lin Sunji agreed, but she hadn’t brought any mint candy with her, and Zhong Cheng had forgotten to buy some. Seeing Lin Sunji’s worsening condition, Zhong Cheng acted out of rare kindness and turned to his boss behind.
"Boss, do you have any anti-nausea candies? Lin Sunji is really struggling."
Bei Sangyun vaguely recalled that Maid Ye Zhai had packed some anti-nausea candies and mint oil for her, which must be in her side pocket.
"They’re in my backpack, in the side pocket," she replied.
Zhong Cheng stood up amidst the jerky ride and successfully retrieved Bei Sangyun’s bag from the compartment above their seats. Inside, he found a small purse in the side pocket containing some candies.
He passed the purse to Lin Sunji, "Help yourself."
Lin Sunji, no longer being picky, eagerly opened the purse and grabbed the largest package she could find. Without bothering to read the label, she tore it open.
However, the candy she expected to find had a strange texture and size. It seemed to be made of smooth plastic, nothing like what she had anticipated. Perplexed, she finally looked down and stared at the peculiar "candy," which appeared more like synthetic rubber than anything edible.
Lin Sunji wondered if it was safe to eat. She cautiously sniffed it, detecting no minty aroma as she had expected, but rather a faint smell of latex.
What on earth was this? Was she supposed to put it in her mouth to distract herself?
Meanwhile, Zhong Cheng discreetly glanced over to check on her, then turned his attention back to the window. Suddenly, he froze, then whipped his head around to Lin Sunji, double-checking what he had seen. To his horror, it was indeed what he thought it was—Lin Sunji was indeed biting down on a certain blue object.
"What the heck?!" Zhong Cheng exclaimed, swiftly plucking the "candy" from Lin Sunji’s mouth without warning. It was, in fact, a condom!
"Why are you chewing on this?!" he demanded, feeling a mix of shock and disbelief.
No, he should be asking where she had gotten it from!
In a sudden realization, Zhong Cheng’s eyes widened in disbelief, and flung the condom back to Lin Sunji. He recoiled while covering his chest. He stared at her as if she were some kind of pervert.
Had she brought this... for him?!
But he had never viewed her in that way!
Lin Sunji couldn’t fathom why Zhong Cheng was behaving so strangely, but his bizarre stare only served to aggravate her further.
"You told me to put this thing in my mouth. Are you playing some kind of prank on me?" Lin Sunji retorted, tossing the blue object back to Zhong Cheng. She had no clue what it was, but judging by Zhong Cheng’s reaction, it must be something dirty!
Zhong Cheng deftly dodged the object as it came flying towards him, but it ended up landing in his lap. Recoiling in shock, he hastily tossed it away, causing the blue latex condom to arc through the air and land behind his seat- on Fei Chuan’s lap.
Both Bei Sangyun and Fei Chuan who were enjoying each other’s company were suddenly disrupted by a blue object that flew over their way. Their eyes were drawn to the unexpected object that had suddenly materialized.
Both looked down and froze after seeing what it was.
Bei Sangyun was the first to recover. She gingerly picked up the condom from Fei Chuan’s lap, her expression one of disbelief and amusement.
This thing was thrown over by the couple at the front.
She hadn’t expected Zhong Cheng and Lin Sunji to be involved in such a sensual relationship. When did the two start to develop feelings and become involved in such a relationship?
Fei Chuan’s expression darkened as he watched Bei Sangyun handle the random condom that had landed in their vicinity. Without a word, he snatched it from her hand and flung it back towards Zhong Cheng, aiming for the back of his head.
