Chapter 1213: The Silver Moon in the Sky (III)

“Your Majesty, now is not the time to fixate on our squabbles,” Ying Hongyue interjected. “Our most pressing concern is to brainstorm ways to suppress and nullify Li Hao, not each other!”

“And what ideas can you possibly have?” It was clear that the Divine Nation queen didn’t think much of the man. “You’ve fought Li Hao all this time, but don’t have anything to show for it apart from killing his parents and friend. Instead, you’ve raised a tiger from infancy!”

“Sometimes, this is by heaven’s will,” Ying Hongyue chuckled softly with some resignation. “Li Hao was born with the heavenly will, so it’s very difficult to kill him! He is twenty-one this year. The world first awakened twenty-one years ago, which is also when the heavenly will was born.

“The brilliant moon hung in the sky twenty-one years ago and Your Majesty began to awaken with your inheritance from the first generation Moon God...”

“What do you mean?” The queen blinked and regarded Ying Hongyue seriously.

“Do you still not understand?” sighed the man. “He was born with the will of the world! When the heavenly will was born, so was Li Hao. He bears the bloodline of the Lis, wields Stellaris, and lived in Silver City...

“He is the son of destiny born from the conflict of various sides. The exalted emperor of Red Moon, various ancient main cities, dao meridians of the divine spirits, and great dao universe jointly erupted with radiance back in the day. The young man was born out of a need to balance these various forces...”

“If you put it that way, then we divine spirits should be the favored children of the world,” sneered the queen. “It would never fall into Li Hao’s lap!”

Ying Hongyue was assigning everything to the heavenly will just because he couldn’t defeat Li Hao. What a joke!

The man shrugged with a smile and didn’t say anything else. He simply spoke the truth and could do nothing about it if the queen refused to believe him. Ying Hongyue knew very well that Li Hao was the product of compromise by the world. All sides had wished to revitalize and fought over their resurrection; it only served to benefit Li Hao in the end.

The young man had reached his current heights in a very short period of time. This was due to incredible potential that came from consolidating the lingering fortunes of the world.

Of course, destiny was fickle and hard to pin down. All of this was only Ying Hongyue’s speculation.

He felt very strongly about his conjectures, however. Li Hao would not have discovered the great dao universe so easily otherwise.

“We can set this to the side for now,” he quickly changed the topic. “Since we are joining forces, I’d like to address the most urgent tasks at hand. One, we will revive the divine spirits that have not fully died! Two, I, the Red Moon universe, and divine spirits will ally together to release some Silver Moon power and Red Moon power to strengthen ourselves!”

Ying Hongyue looked at the black robes. “Senior Red Dust should still be near Silver Moon province, shouldn’t he?”

“He is,” nodded a black robe after a moment of silence.

“Then can Senior Red Dust... strengthen the seal? Our current enemy is Li Hao! The Moon God is worried about Silver Moon power receding and the seal weakening as a result. The Red Moon exalted emperor is worried about Red Moon power receding and himself weakening as a result. Senior Red Dust is worried about the stability of the seal...

“We are all wary of each other, which has created opportunities for Li Hao! Since we are gathered together today, I hope that everyone can be forthright and honest with the rest. We need to temporarily set our prejudices aside and cooperate with one another so we can make use of this opportunity to grievously injure and even kill him!”

“We cannot make the decision in this!” Neither of the other two sides could give a definitive answer.

“Li Hao has complete control of the communication system, we’re unable to send anything back,” said the black robe. “Our lord is unable to receive any word, not unless we make a trip back...”

That would take too long.

“Apart from the divine spirits, our three sides all possess some Red Moon power,” Ying Hongyue smiled. “Li Hao does indeed control the communication system, but some communication is still possible through the Red Moon power. We can still work together if we approach this with sincerity.

“I know what everyone’s worried about—that you’d be strengthening me and the Moon God, while the rest of you would receive nothing in return. But, we’re growing stronger to move against Li Hao. His death is the greatest gain of all!”

“Leader Ying, at the end of the day, you’ve gathered the four factions to benefit yourself!” laughed a red robe. “You’ve been on the run since the beginning and hiding from Li Hao. How are we to trust that you’ll use your newfound strength against Li Hao and not go on the run again?”

Clearly, Ying Hongyue’s reputation was less than stellar.

“At this point, I’ll be in greater trouble than the rest of you if Li Hao doesn’t die!” Ying Hongyue said softly, unperturbed by the challenge. “I ran because I lacked sufficient strength. Why would I need to do that if I am strong enough?

“Apart from that, I also wish for the Red Moon exalted emperor and Leader Red Dust to initiate some attacks. Those that you have installed in the ancient cities are no longer safe. It would be better to take advantage of this timing to seize control of the ancient cities and create more pressure for Li Hao. We need to ensure that his people have no time or effort to spare for anything else!

“If we continue to sit back and wait... that will only ensure that the second awakening never takes place!” Ying Hongyue fell silent for a moment in thought. “In return, I will trade some of my preparations and agitate the Forbidden Sea to release some of its energy. That will hasten the second awakening! I’m sure that the two leaders will agree to this!”

The two relevant parties sank into deep thought; the Divine Nation queen didn’t say a word. She didn’t care how the other factions would compromise or make their arrangements, so long as some Silver Moon energy could be released to resurrect some divine spirits and strengthen her nation.

There was a lot to benefit from a partnership of the four factions; they’d simply been too wary of each other before this and more concerned about potential problems. That had obstructed them from reaching an accord.

Li Hao showing himself now could actually prove to be useful. It would give them the motivation to set aside some reservations and work together first.

“Let’s give it a try,” said Ying Hongyue. “We won’t have any chances in the future if we don’t!”

The two factions gave the proposal some thought before one of them said, “We’ll try contacting our lord, but we’re uncertain if we’ll be successful or not. If we do succeed, we hope that Leader Ying will keep your word...”

Of course, this was just empty talk at the end of the day. It was up to Ying Hongyue himself whether he kept his word or not.

Ying Hongyue nodded without saying anything else. The two factions attempted to contact their leaders. As for whether they were connecting with the Red Moon exalted emperor himself or other Red Moon powerhouses within Silver Moon world, no one knew.

......

Li Hao was steadily approaching the gathering of the four factions. Panther wanted to inch forward some more, but the young man halted his footsteps. He could vaguely sense some people up ahead and even sense the presence of Red Moon power.

He stopped walking and transmitted through the armor, “Is Gan Wuliang around?”

“Yes, my lord!”

“Make a trip to Silver City, but there’s no need to get too close. Work with Director General Zhao and check from a distance whether there are ripples or disturbances in the seal!

“Additionally, I want fact sheets on all the divine spirits in Divine Nation. Vice Head Qi and his team studied divine spirits before and are familiar with them. I want everything they know, including divine spirit names and their abilities.”

“Understood, I will collate the information.” Vice Head Qi’s voice slowly came through the armor system. “I will send it to the marquis soon. Except... we only know a bit about the divine spirits and not all there is to know...”

“That is fine!” Li Hao didn’t mind. “Is the Ninth Division leader around?”

“I am.”

“Send me information on Li Daoheng and all of the other important personnel at Sword City. I need to know their names, appearances, personalities, and important happenings in their life.”

“Alright...” responded the Ninth Division leader after a while. “But I did not know all of them myself.” freeweɓnovel~cѳm

“That is fine, send me whatever you have. I’ll sort through it.”

“Very well.”

Transmissions ceased for the moment as everyone went about their tasks. Li Hao looked around and glanced in the western direction before vanishing, reappearing inside the Hao Cosmos.

He walked over to the river of stars and took a mental picture, memorizing the luminosity and strength of all of the stars. He looked into the depths of the dark universe. The young man was yet to explore the dao universe in its entirety.

Some of the divine spirits might have their dao meridians residing in the depths of the universe.

A ‘dao ‘character appeared and swiftly enlarged, nearly enveloping the entire river. It emanated a faint glow. This way, Li Hao stood a big chance of locating any divine spirit’s primary dao star if they grew stronger.

The caveat was that the dao star was located in this patch of the river.

He knew of one star in the physical body sector that belonged to the Moon God. However, it was negligible to the Moon God. She possessed countless dao meridians that she hadn’t even opened this one.

All the same, Li Hao locked onto its location. Although it wouldn’t affect her if he shattered the star—she might be completely unconcerned—the Moon God wouldn’t be able to escape him so long as this star existed.

He could also utilize this dao star as a benchmark. It might change if the Moon God grew stronger.

Having completed all this, Li Hao left the Hao Cosmos.

......

It wasn’t long before replies filtered back to the gathering of four sides.

“The lord agrees!”

“The exalted emperor agrees!”

Ying Hongyue was delighted! Despite it being difficult to have Zheng Yu and the Red Moon exalted emperor agree to his proposal, it was luckily made possible today thanks to pressure from Li Hao.

This was a good development!

Zheng Yu was worried about the seal breaking, the Red Moon exalted emperor was concerned about Ying Hongyue absorbing too much energy. That would weaken the exalted emperor and strengthen the seal.

Now that both sides had compromised, it was Ying Hongyue who benefited in the end. Li Hao had done something good for once!

“There’s no time to waste!” Ying Hongyue declared. “Let’s start immediately and release some Silver Moon strength so that the Moon God can grow stronger. Divine spirits are not limited by the world, so Your Majesty should be able to set foot into the Saint level since Li Hao has!

“He might think that we’ll keep fighting each other, but that would be underestimating us. I hope that Your Majesty understands!”

Ying Hongyue looked at the woman with a bit of resignation. He hoped that she wouldn’t revert back to attacking him once she grew stronger. That would be very troublesome!

“When will you release the energy?” The Moon God flicked a cold glance at him and couldn’t be bothered to say anything else.

“Very soon!” answered one of the red robes. “The Moon God can absorb Silver Moon power however you wish. The exalted emperor will release some Red Moon power at the same time to maintain an equilibrium. There’s nothing to worry about!”

It would be a lie to say that no one was worried. They were all afraid that the exalted emperor would take advantage of the opportunity to break out of his seal. However, they had no option but to give this a try.
