Star Gate-Chapter 1714: Crazily Strong (III)

At this moment, Skyward.

The Sword Sovereign’s eyes abruptly snapped in a certain direction. He seemed to have sensed something. Although his dao had seceded from New Martial and left the core origin dao universe, he hadn’t fully severed his connection with New Martial.

He sent a meaningful look at Li Hao. The young man raised an eyebrow. So they’d started? New Martial was certainly a decisive civilization.

A crack appeared in the Skyward dao universe; someone promptly barreled out. The two eighth ranks outside the crack struck ferociously before they even properly identified the person.

Boom!

The red shadow trembled and flew backwards, vomiting blood.

“You bastards!” it growled. Blazing Sun and Dragon took a closer look at who they’d attacked.

Eh? Red Moon?

But... he seems much weaker than before and there’s much less Red Moon strength on him. While he’s still an eighth rank, he looks... much worse for the wear.

What’s going on?

The two were still staring at their target when their eyes widened. The two eighth ranks quickly took a step back; a longsword broke through the firmament behind them!

At the same time.

A mountain of clouds and a sea of fog appeared. A longsword crashed through the world! Two seventh ranks had made a move at the same time. While the two eighth ranks frowned at their temerity, the two did not stop the seventh ranks’ attacks.

The Human King, Fog Mountain, and the newly arrived seventh rank were in the field. A book of darkness appeared at the same time—a king of darkness appeared in the world barrier. He walked out of unending gloom with a halo of light around him. He seemed to be of the two extremities of dao, yet of neither of them at the same time.

Another seventh rank!

The Red Moon master jerked with surprise. He’d been chased by others through the dao universe and suffered a thunderous blow from two eighth ranks as soon as he escaped through a crack. While he was still alive, his injuries were much more severe than before. Who would’ve thought that three more seventh ranks would make themselves known at this time?

Fog Mountain...

Had the man returned?

There was no time to dwell on the issue. Boom!

A massive explosion rocked the world, inflicting innumerable cracks to the Red Moon master’s physical body. Despite him immolating blood essence to spontaneously get away, he was still heavily injured!

He continuously coughed up blood!

Dao strength madly dissipated in all directions as endless power of desire burned in the air.

“Help me!” said the Red Moon master. He could hold on no longer.

Although he hadn’t named anyone, clouds rushed in to wrap around the long blade behind him. The weapon flared with immense killing intent and broke through the clouds, yet more clouds and mist appeared in their wake!

They were from the Skycloud master behind them!

The world split apart, revealing numerous figures. The Skycloud master had moved to stop the Human King, whereas Deepsea manifested in front of the Orchid Forest master and punched forward with surging waves.

The Human King watched impassively, whereas the calm Skycloud master looked at Human King, then Fog Mountain.

“Fog Mountain, I always knew that you had ulterior motives in mind, but I never fathomed that you would collude with the New Martial demons,” he said softly. “New Martial is the demon of the chaos! They have caused the downfall of Red Moon, Cold River, Skywave, Nether Moon, Elysian Fields, and Nether Dark. Your recovery surely comes at the cost of devouring a dao universe while you aided and abetted evil!”

The two puzzled eighth ranks shook when they heard the Skycloud master’s words. So this was the case! Fog Mountain had spoken truly! This had been a scheme against them!

It was a scheme that’d resulted in the demise of four major worlds.

“Skycloud, are the four major worlds gone?” asked a surprised Blazing Sun master.

“Aye, demons walk upon us!” nodded the Skycloud master. “The Skyward dao universe ended up becoming our prison. It has not revitalized—it is merely a plot they put together.

“What a pity that it caused the deaths of some masters of the world and grievous injuries to Fellow Daoist Red Moon. The fellow daoist has also seceded from his dao universe. I’m afraid that the Red Moon dao universe no longer exists!”

“New Martial is a force of absolute destruction within the chaos!” The gravely wounded Red Moon master ducked his head with a cough. “None of you believed me before, but see how one eighth rank world and five seventh rank worlds have been toppled in a few short years!

“In contrast, only three seventh rank worlds were lost among the four regions over the past three hundred thousand years!”

One world might be lost in one hundred thousand years, but now, six were gone in two!

The two eighth ranks looked at each other with widened eyes. This was when the power of Light flared deep within the universe, prompting a narrowed glare from the Red Moon master.

“Light, it’s not a good idea for your son to cavort with them!” The Skycloud master raised an eyebrow. “We should kill the Human King, Fog Mountain, and the rest of their group here today to prevent the chaos from being thrown into further turmoil!”

“You’ve certainly got a glib tongue!” sneered the Human King. “New Martial never goes after someone if they don’t come for us first! Red Moon was the one who declared war on us, but now you’re the one casting aspersions!

“It’s just the weak becoming food for the strong! Don’t bother with these sham excuses. Skycloud, you’re more revolting than that piss poor Red Moon. You’ll be the first I kill when I enter eighth rank!”

“I’m afraid you won’t have the chance to do so!” the Skycloud master retorted coldly. He wanted to persuade the other two eighth rank masters to kill the Human King.

Skycloud didn’t actually share much of a grudge with New Martial. Despite having supported Red Moon prior to this and the Dragon Observatory being staffed with Skycloud subordinates, they’d never truly crossed paths before. Their feud was nothing serious.

But now, the Skycloud master was well and truly wary of New Martial. It was for no reason other than Fog Mountain having dared join them. Fog Mountain bore a deep resentment for him.

While Fog Mountain hadn’t said anything, the Skycloud master was firmly convinced that the man must hate him after having his energy stripped away and nearly being executed by his former liege. He would certainly seek revenge!

In that case, he would fully eradicate that threat today! Not to mention, Fog Mountain had many supporters back on Skycloud. That was immensely troublesome, so Fog Mountain had to be eliminated!

New Martial was also an enormous threat. The Ash Emperor could move around with their main world and the Human King could combine his strength with the Ash Emperor. The four regions did not need a lurking peril such as New Martial!

Everything else was fake, only profit and interest were real.

The Blazing Sun master also lifted a brow. That was right! He didn’t care about how many worlds were gone, the key was that New Martial was an immense hazard. There were suddenly three seventh ranks facing them, as well as the Human King and Orchid Forest...

The Ash Emperor and Sun God were yet to show themselves as well. That meant there were seven high ranks in the field!

The Light crown prince was also deeply involved with them... New Martial was an enormous threat!

The Blazing Sun master’s internal dao strength trembled as he turned over the possibilities. A very faint message came through the ripples. His eyes widened with shock—he wasn’t the only one.

Other exalted emperors on Skyward also received word, one of them an exalted emperor from Blazing Sun Region. His world was close to Flaming Sun and his powerhouses were requesting his urgent return.

Something extreme had developed!

“New Martial has attacked Flaming Sun!” shouted the furious seventh rank. “Flaming Sun has fallen and New Martial may be moving through Blazing Sun Region next...”

“......” An uproar rose from the exalted emperors in the surroundings!

WHAT?!

The seventh rank broke through the world without a look back, yelling as he went, “Exalted Blazing Sun Emperor, New Martial seeks to obtain the power of extreme yang! Apparently their supreme has become a seventh rank. Three seventh ranks jointly working together seized Flaming Sun in the blink of an eye!”

Blazing Sun hadn’t been that worried at first because his message wasn’t as complete as the other’s. He reeled from the full information.

What?? Three seventh ranks?!

“Join hands against the Human King and then march on New Martial...” roared the Red Moon master. He could tell that Blazing Sun wanted to leave. But now was not the time to go! They needed to eliminate the Human King first!

The Blazing Sun master swept a look over the scene. The Human King rivaled an eighth rank and there were four other seventh ranks present. There was also peak seventh rank Fog Mountain. The heavily injured Red Moon just barely rivaled Fog Mountain in his current condition.

Skycloud, Deepsea, and himself might not be able to swiftly eliminate this group, even with Dragon’s aid. And Light’s current loyalties were unknown...

Blazing Sun couldn’t afford any delays!

As strong as his region was, New Martial might be able to break through it in his absence. He would be in for it then, even if they killed the Human King here. The Blazing Sun master took another glance at the crack in the dao universe. Skyward’s dao universe did still seem to be asleep...

Since it was not yet revitalized, there was no rush.

The man vanished without a word, leaving behind a surge of dao strength.

“Blazing Sun!” barked the Skycloud master. Damn it, you could’ve said something!

The Blazing Sun master ignored the outrage he left behind. You guys can afford to wait, I can’t. Something awful might happen if I join the battle here. Flaming Sun fell in a heartbeat!

When he connected the dots to rumors of New Martial being unable to become an eighth rank world because the Human King lacked yang energy after reviving too many cultivators... It would be the biggest trouble of all if New Martial could become an eighth rank world or produce new seventh ranks after seizing Flaming Sun!

Hence, the Blazing Sun master left without a word. He didn’t mention attacking the Human King anymore.

The Skycloud master immediately looked at the Dragon master!

The latter held himself with an air of great majesty and draconic presence. He narrowed his eyes at the group. New Martial really had become a force to be reckoned with! Seven major worlds had been destroyed within two years!

It might be nice to kill the Human King today!

“Dragon master, I hear that the Vajra major world has a lot of yang energy!” Fog Mountain suddenly said.

“What do you mean by that, Fog Mountain?” the Dragon master answered coolly.

“Don’t ask me, I don’t know anything,” laughed Fog Mountain. “I’m just repeating what I’ve heard.”

Vajra was not Dragon major world, but the latter would be in a sticky situation if New Martial set its eyes on it.
