Chapter 263: Academy Yearly Competition (6)
Silas laughed at Evan’s question. "The first part of the competition is to group you into four different groups, A, B, C, and D. There will be four competitions at the same time because the arenas are enough, so it wouldn’t take much time."
Evan looked at the field and realized that it was true. Even if there were quite a lot of people, it wouldn’t take that much time if there were 4 competitions going at the same time. After all, the first few competitions should happen quite fast due to the difference in skills of their students.
"Everyone below rank 3 usually got eliminated quickly," Silas reminded.
"Don’t worry, we’re strong."
"Yes!"
"Ok, take your number."
They all went to take their numbers while Aya waited on the back with Silas, Nathan, and Nisa. She looked to the side and saw Lisa was already talking with another person. It seemed that the atmosphere was very relaxed.
Even with the threat of the ghosts, it didn’t stop the student’s enthusiasm for this competition.
"If only you want to participate, you can definitely win," Silas said as he looked at his young student beside him. Aya seemed to be very calm and not interested in this competition. But he knew that with Aya’s strength, it would be more than enough for her to defeat the other students.
"Brother Silas, I would rather spar with you." Aya glanced at Silas blankly.
What is she going to do sparring with these brats?
She would rather spar with Silas and face Silas directly rather than facing these brats.
"I know." Silas smiled.
Nathan turned his head and saw the bright smile on Silas’s face. He blinked his eyes and felt that his eyes were blinded by this scene. Slowly, he turned to look at Nisa and arched his eyebrows slightly. Nisa saw his expression and chuckled lightly. She nodded her head.
It seemed that their conjecture was right.
"We’re back."
The students came back.
"There’s no block division for the magic show but it’ll be held as the last event," Yun said and then showed her number. "And I’m number 24."
Silas nodded and turned to look at the three boys.
"I’m in Block A, number 32," Evan said with a bitter smile. He had asked and found out that there were a total of 64 students in each block. This meant that he was in the middle and would not be called anytime soon.
"I’m in Block C, number 2," Leon said and raised his head proudly.
"Block B, number 13," Dean replied.
"You’re all in different blocks, so you can’t meet each other until the semifinal." Silas smiled faintly. "That is if you can reach the semifinal."
"We will reach it!"
"Yes, we definitely will!"
The three of them looked at each other with high competitive spirit. There were three of them and it was also good that they were assigned in different blocks. It would not be fun for them to meet each other so early because they knew each other’s strengths and weaknesses very clearly.
If they had to fight each other, the battle would last too long and they would expose their strength too much.
"If you think about hiding all of your cards, I’ll tell you that it’s impossible." Aya could see what they were thinking and said bluntly, "The White Family crystal magic is well known, the Black Family’s shadow magic is also well known, and the magical physical attack is known by almost all magic warriors."
The three of them lowered their heads.
That... seemed to be true.
The bitterness of coming from a well known family was that their strongest magic would have been known to others. This was because their strongest magic was usually their inheritance magic or some of their strongest characteristics. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
In this way, it would not be a surprise for them to use these magics.
"But the power is quite different...." Leon tried to argue.
"Brother, your ability is already well known because of your identity," Lilac said as she walked with the other two. They roamed around for a bit to talk with their friends before coming here.
"Yes, Lilac is right. The training grounds where you used to train is a public training ground," Keiran also recalled with a bright smile on his face.
"Uh..." Evan scratched the back of his head.
Dean also looked at the sky and felt rather embarrassed. Then again, as the Red Family members, he didn’t seem to have many hole cards. At most, he could only control his strength whether he wanted to punch stronger or weaker.
Leon froze.
It seemed to be true.
Silas shook his head and didn’t care too much. They didn’t really have many hole cards in the first place because the time they became magic warriors was too limited. Magic warriors were all about accumulation of mana and so on.
For these students, these few years were not enough for them to be strong enough that they could overturn the world.
They were only slightly better.
At most, their strength would only be rank 3 magic warriors.
If they had reached rank 4, most of them would be too embarrassed to participate in this yearly competition. Because they would not see any point in competing with people who were weaker than them.
Unless they just want to build their faces and reputation.
But...
Who in their right mind would want to do that?
In the current Wansu City, none of them want to have a high reputation and so on. Because they all knew that it would be a hassle if they were noticed by the Fourth Head of the Wansu City when they didn’t have enough strength.
The assassination attempts of Evan and the others had already sounded warning to them.
If they were too eye catching, it was estimated that they would be the next target.
And if they were not strong enough...
Can they survive the assassination attempts?
