STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 592: Part 1: Tier-5 Mission
10th Zone, City -A
Beast Taming Association:
Jeremy Night started going through the Tier-5 missions. The Tier-5 missions were dangerous. Almost all of the missions required Tier-5 Beast Tamers.
If the Beast Tamers standing behind him were to see this, they would be shocked to the core.
His gaze continued to scan over the mission list. Suddenly, his gaze fell on one of the missions.
[Tier-5 Mission: Escort a group of female Beast Tamers from Central University 10 to the area between the Inner Area and Core Area.]
[Mission Reward: 100,000 credit points. People required: 10]
After reading the mission description and mission reward, he was shocked inside. Not much information was disclosed here. The strength of the Beast Tamers was unknown.
He didn’t know why they were going there. However, since they were Beast Tamers from Central University, he didn’t have to suspect anyone.
It had been some time since he was here, but he had not come across anyone doing illegal activities.
Jeremy still remembered their organization’s name. It was called Mighty Order. He didn’t know where those rats were hiding.
"What are you doing?"
Suddenly, someone yelled at him from behind.
Jeremy collected his thoughts and started registering. The mission requirement was 10 people. He was the last one to apply.
Fortunately, the application was not rejected even though he was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer.
When the registration was done, a message showed up saying he had to leave for the mission at 6 PM in the evening. The gathering point was here, the Beast Taming Association building.
After he was done with the registration, he left the mission hall. Then he went to seek help from the staff. His Beast Taming license needed to be updated.
He is 7th Rank now. He went to a staff member and stated his request.
The person was a middle-aged man. Jeremy gave his Beast Taming license to the staff member.
The man then brought Jeremy to a room where a scanner tested his strength. The result came back as Tier-2, 7th Rank - Early Stage.
Jeremy was worried that the staff might ask for lifeline beast details. Then, it happened.
"What about your lifeline beast?" the middle-aged man asked. "I just checked the database. It was empty," he added.
Jeremy smiled and replied, "There was no need to update the lifeline beast details."
The middle-aged man frowned, but he didn’t say anything. After updating the details of the Beast Tamer, he gave the license back to him.
Jeremy took the license and left the room. The work here was not over yet. He had to make preparations for the mission tonight. He needed safety items, including medicine and supplies.
He had made up his mind to buy poison as well. He could smear poison on the bullet surface and use it against the corrupted beasts.
He had to innovate continuously. This improved his rate of survival.
Time went by.
He was busy shopping.
Meanwhile, Team Leader Gisela was in her office. She had thought Jeremy Night would come and meet her, but to her disappointment, he was yet to come.
"Could it be...?" she muttered.
She didn’t know why, but she thought Jeremy Night might have gone to the Beast Taming Association. So, she immediately called the staff in the admin office.
The staff knew almost everything. Some of them had seen Jeremy Night leaving the building earlier. After learning that, Gisela had a knowing look on her face.
She knew Head Neil Moon had told Jeremy Night to rest. But since Jeremy Night had once again left the building, she was sure that he went to the Beast Taming Association.
To confirm, she called him, and Jeremy Night answered the call. She asked about his whereabouts and confirmed that Jeremy Night had indeed taken up a mission.
Gisela got angry and told him to come and meet her once he was done with his work. She then ended the call.
Two hours later, Jeremy Night returned to the organization. He was done with his purchases. Compared to before, he was loaded with safety items. He was armed as well.
He still had the assault rifles, sniper, and handguns with ammunition. He had looted the arms from the armory. If he had wanted to buy them separately, it would have cost him hundreds of credit points.
Fortunately, no one questioned him about it. He walked into the building. The next second, he felt various gazes on him. He especially felt the gazes coming from the admin office.
He turned towards that place and noticed the staff members were looking at him. He already guessed the reason. Leader Gisela had called him earlier. He ignored their gazes and headed towards Leader Gisela’s office.
A few minutes later, he arrived in front of the office room. The door was already open. He walked into the room and saw that Leader Gisela was sitting behind the desk. He walked up to the chair and sat opposite her.
Gisela was doing some other work on her screen. She stopped and turned towards Jeremy Night.
"I don’t know whether you are being reckless or calm," she muttered.
"Head Neil Moon gave you a rest. It’s because Head Harold can call you at any time. If you leave for a mission, then it would be a waste of time for others," she added.
Hearing that, Jeremy’s eyes glinted with understanding. Then he told her that he had achieved a breakthrough. He wanted to test his new strength. That’s why he applied for the mission.
Gisela was surprised. Her gaze immediately fell on Jeremy Night. She did find an increase in strength. Her eyes gleamed with a twinkle.
"7th Rank," she said.
"Yes," Jeremy replied.
"What about the mission?" she asked.
Jeremy started talking about the mission. At first, she was calm when she heard about Central University 10. But the mission location stumped her.
"Are you suicidal?" she asked. "We had the beast invasion not long ago. The Central University people are going there for some reason. Let them test the waters first."
Jeremy Night hesitated a little bit.
