STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 593: Part 2: Tier-5 Mission
Shadow Moon Chamber
Jeremy heard her words, but he was not convinced. He wanted to control his new strength. He wanted to check his progress with his "Blade One" move as well.
All of this could be done by fighting against the corrupted beasts.
He then said, "Leader, don’t worry about me. If there is any threat to my life, I’ll abandon the mission."
Gisela frowned but sighed in the end. She didn’t want to control Jeremy Night; she was just giving him some advice.
"Okay. It’s up to you. What is the mission time?" she asked.
"This evening," Jeremy replied.
She raised her eyebrows. She thought of reporting this to Head Neil Moon; otherwise, he might scold her.
"Alright, let me inform Head Neil Moon first," Gisela said.
Hearing that, Jeremy nodded to her. Gisela then made the phone call.
The call connected in a few seconds. Head Neil Moon learned what had happened. He was surprised by Jeremy Night’s activities.
He had thought that the kid would be resting right now. To think that the kid had taken up a mission... he was impressed.
It meant that Jeremy Night was focused on his goal and self-improvement.
That kid did not relax even after knowing that he might go to the 5th Zone, Head Neil Moon thought.
He then told Gisela to let him go on the mission. Head Harold was like him; he was not that strict. He would be happy if he knew Jeremy Night prioritized the mission.
Gisela was surprised. She had thought Head Neil Moon would be angry. After ending the call, she turned towards Jeremy Night and told him that Head Neil Moon had agreed.
Phew!
Jeremy Night heaved a sigh of relief. He was worried that he might anger the higher-ups. Then, he spoke a few things with Leader Gisela before leaving the room.
A few minutes later, he went to his own room. He checked his storage ring. He had obtained the same toad poison known for its potent killing power.
Whether it was Beast Tamers or higher-tier corrupted beasts, they would be poisoned to death. The grade of the toad poison was Tier-5.
It cost him a few thousand credit points, but he knew it was worth it. Then, he began to rest, since the mission was going to be this evening.
He needed to be prepared. He checked his mental zone. The starlight liquid had filled the mental zone. There was no need for him to enter the practice room.
He had to be ready and in an optimal state, so he went to bed to rest.
Time went by.
He woke up at 5 PM. There was still an hour left before everyone gathered at the Beast Taming Association.
So, he got out of bed and began to get ready. He wore the Red Moon Chamber uniform. Then, he wore the Grade-3 armor and sheathed his Grade-3 blade in the scabbard.
His gaze fell on the helmet. He didn’t have a habit of using it before, but now he wanted to be fully prepared. So, he wore the helmet as well.
A few minutes later, he left the room and walked down to the lobby. When he got there, the staff were looking at him. He ignored them.
But before exiting the building, he texted Leader Gisela about his departure.
Then, he walked out of the building. He went to the driver quickly and entered the car, sitting in the back seat.
The office driver asked about the destination. Jeremy told him to drop him at the Beast Taming Association Building.
Swoosh!
The flying cab departed. The cab started moving towards the Beast Taming Association Building in mid-air.
At the same time, Gisela saw the text messages and reported to Head Neil Moon.
About 20 minutes later, the flying cab dropped him in front of the Beast Taming Association Building. Jeremy walked out and thanked the driver.
He was not the only one with an armor suit; there were others as well. But there was more than one group. Jeremy swept his gaze across the people.
He then saw people with Central University uniforms. They must be the Beast Tamers from Central University 10. He started walking up to them.
There were 20 Beast Tamers from Central University. His eyes quickly scanned them. There were 10 Tier-3 Beast Tamers and 10 Tier-4 Beast Tamers.
Everyone was wearing the Central University uniform. If there were 20 Beast Tamers here, then what about the Beast Tamers from the Beast Taming Association?
Swoosh!
His arrival attracted attention. Suddenly, he saw two people appear in front of him. One was a middle-aged man, and the other was a middle-aged woman.
Both of them were Tier-5 Beast Tamers.
"Who are you?" the middle-aged woman asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy replied, "I have applied for the mission."
After saying that, he took his device out and showed her the mission details.
The middle-aged man stood perplexed because he saw the young man was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer. Tier-2 Beast Tamers are usually in their 2nd year at the university.
He had never seen a Tier-2 Beast Tamer doing a Tier-5 Mission.
The middle-aged woman was shocked because the information was true.
She then said, "No, we can’t accept you. You are a Tier-2 Beast Tamer. You will be the first one to be killed."
The next second, the middle-aged man didn’t hold back his words.
He said, "Kid, did you take the wrong medicine this morning?"
"It’s a Tier-5 mission. Not a Tier-1 or Tier-2 mission," he added.
Hearing that, Jeremy felt a headache coming on. He needed to introduce himself.
"My name is Jeremy Night. It’s not the first time for me to do such a dangerous mission. I have done it before," Jeremy said to them.
"Jeremy Night," the middle-aged man muttered.
The middle-aged woman paused for a second. She seemed to recall the name. The name sounded familiar to both of them.
They looked at each other. They were 4th-year instructors at Central University 10, so they knew some important information.
