Chapter 601: Good news!

Shadow Moon Chamber

That evening, Jeremy got out of bed and began to get ready.

A few minutes later, he left the residence and went down to the first floor. He saw that members were going about their business.

His gaze swept across the living area and fell on the staff. They were all chatting and laughing.

He walked up to the door and stepped outside.

He turned around and walked to the footpath. Then, he called Sinag and Ada to see if they were around. He wanted to know whether they were there or not.

He learned that both of them were there and were coming down to meet him. Jeremy ended the call and sighed in relief.

Actually, he had been thinking about the death of the students. Both instructors had hidden things from him.

He didn’t know why, but something did not sit well with him. He thought there was a big reason behind their deaths. So many people had died, yet not a single person knew about it.

Shortly afterwards, both Sinag and Ada came to see him. They both noticed that Jeremy Night’s strength was greater than before because the aura exuding from him was stronger.

Both of them exchanged looks. Surprise was visible in their eyes.

"Jeremy, when did you break through?" Sinag asked.

"You are progressing too fast," Ada added.

Hearing that, Jeremy smiled and said, "Yes, I reached the 7th rank recently."

Sinag and Ada were not surprised, and they started discussing other things. From time to time, Jeremy Night debated whether to talk about Central University or not.

Sinag saw that Jeremy Night was absent minded at times.

She asked, "What are you thinking?"

Hearing that, Jeremy let out a sigh. He decided to talk to them.

"The mission that I took yesterday was mysterious." After saying that, Jeremy Night started explaining things to them.

Sinag and Ada listened intently to his words.

At first, their expressions were calm, but they became serious as time went by.

They didn’t expect Central University 10 to be facing such a crisis. If their organization members had faced such things, Head Neil Moon wouldn’t have been silent.

They didn’t know why the Central University was not taking any action.

"Did you tell Leader Gisela?" Sinag asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy shook his head.

Ada was in deep thought. She asked, "Who could be daring enough to challenge Central University 10?"

"I don’t know. But the enemy must be strong," Jeremy replied. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

They talked for an hour before going back to the building. After entering the building, they parted ways. Jeremy then went back to his room.

The following day, he left his room and went to see Team Leader Gisela. When he got there, he found her seated at the desk.

He greeted her before sitting opposite her.

She said, "It’s good that you have returned from the mission early. Head Neil Moon wanted to discuss something with you. You can go and see him when he comes to the office."

"Okay," Jeremy replied.

"So, how was the mission? Did you test your new strength?" Gisela asked in a casual tone.

Hearing that, Jeremy immediately thought of the corpses of the students. He lost focus for a second, and his expression changed.

This had been bothering him since coming back. His heart wouldn’t be settled unless he knew why.

Gisela noticed something wrong with Jeremy Night’s expression.

She asked, "What happened?"

"You can tell us anything. Don’t feel uncomfortable," she added.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night recovered his thoughts.

"I encountered something serious during this trip..." After saying that, he started talking to her about the mission.

Gisela stopped doing her work and paid attention to his words. When she heard about the bruised corpses, her eyes flickered.

It seemed she knew something about this matter. His heart stirred. Maybe things were not like he had imagined.

A few minutes later, Gisela’s expression was solemn.

She said, "It’s too early for you to get exposed to some truths. So don’t dig into this matter. Central University 10 will take care of themselves."

Jeremy was stunned. For a second, he thought she would tell him some news, but he didn’t expect her to warn him.

This also proved that he was right. The crisis faced by Central University 10 was big. Then they talked about a few other things.

Then it was time to leave. Head Neil Moon was yet to come, so he left the room.

Thirty minutes later, Jeremy Night received a message that Head Neil Moon had arrived. He left his room and headed towards Head Neil Moon’s office.

When he got there, he found that the door was open. He walked into the room and saw Head Neil Moon sitting behind the desk.

He greeted him before sitting on the chair.

"Kid, you are doing an amazing job lately. You even went on a mission with the Central University people."

"They were picky. Your strength must have impressed them," he added.

Hearing that, Jeremy smiled and said, "They had already read information about me. So I didn’t face any problems."

Head Neil Moon nodded and decided to change the topic.

"Harold called me. He had given his word earlier that you can enter the 5th zone branch. But he wanted to verify your performance in person before making a final call," Neil said.

Jeremy was stunned. He didn’t expect to hear such good news. He was truly happy. He wanted to go there so that he could get better resources.

"What happened? Are you going or not?" Neil asked.

"I’m going," Jeremy replied.

"Then go and make preparations. You can leave this weekend," Head Neil Moon said.

Hearing that, Jeremy was surprised. Then he thanked him for this opportunity.

To be honest, Head Neil Moon was impressed with Jeremy Night’s performance in the 9th zone, so he was happy for Jeremy Night as well.

Then, Jeremy Night left the office in a good mood and returned to his room.
