STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 602: Dean Parker
10th Zone, City-A
Central University
All the important people had gathered in the meeting hall.
Instructors Wyatt and Dolly had informed the higher-ups and handed over the remains of the deceased students, but there were still more remains to recover.
The Dean, the elders, the department heads, and the instructors were all present.
Dean Parker was seated at the head of the table. He was an old man who appeared to be in his sixties.
Dean Parker and the others were going through the reports copies submitted by Instructors Wyatt and Dolly. They contained details about their recent mission.
A few minutes later, Dean Parker placed the report on the desk. The others had finished reading as well.
He raised his head and looked at everyone. His eyes flashed with seriousness, but behind that seriousness lay hidden anger.
"It appears that these people are not taking us seriously," he said. "They dared to target our students continuously."
"If we don’t retaliate, then they will continue with their actions," he added.
Gasp!
Hearing this, a heated discussion broke out.
The other higher-ups and elders were angry as well because the killings were not only damaging the university, but they were also making the forces behind the deceased impatient.
Some of the dead belonged to prominent beast-taming families.
They were asking for justice. If the university didn’t do anything soon, the families might tell the media. If that happened, it would further ruin the reputation of the University.
Dean Parker said, "If you guys have any ideas, you can share them here. We can’t afford a delay in this matter."
Hearing that, the others agreed. In fact, everyone had an idea about who the killers were, but they didn’t have evidence.
Dean Parker’s eyes sharpened. He also had a good idea about the killers, but he lacked proof.
Initially, when the killings began, he had sent people to find out the truth. However, the students who were sent to investigate got killed as well.
These killings angered the families behind them, so those families sent their own men to find the truth.
But the killers had long since escaped the area, and their traces were missing. Still, the families and the higher-ups of Central University strongly suspected who was responsible.
There were not many people who dared to offend Central University except for some organizations from the top 5 zones.
Time went by.
Instructors Wyatt and Dolly were discussing the situation with the others. Everyone had a solemn expression on their face.
Their enemies were not ordinary people. Even if they wanted to take action, they didn’t know whether the Central University Headquarters was willing to support them.
The Central University Headquarters was located in the 1st Zone. Some of them felt it necessary to inform them.
Suddenly, one of the elders said, "Dean, why don’t we inform Headquarters?"
"They will definitely find out the truth," he added.
Hearing that, other elders voiced the same opinion. They believed that Headquarters had more power. If they decided to intervene, they could find the killers quickly.
Dean Parker listened to everyone’s suggestions.
At this time, Instructor Wyatt said, "Elder, why don’t we put up a mission at the Beast Taming Association?"
"The Beast Taming Association will send people to investigate. If those people decide to kill the beast tamers, then they will offend the Beast Taming Association as well," he added.
Hearing that, the others were surprised. Compared to the plan of telling Headquarters, it was better to hand over the mission to the Beast Taming Association.
Instructor Dolly had thought the same. She thought it was better to hand over the mission to them.
So, she said, "I think it’s better for the Beast Taming Association to take this matter. The members of the Beast Taming Association come from all walks of life."
"If their members die, then it will cause a huge problem. There is a chance for the Human Alliance to take action as well," she added.
"Instructors Wyatt and Dolly are right!"
"If we involve more parties in this matter, then it will be good for us."
"This plan is good."
"Let’s just shift the matter to the Beast Taming Association."
"Yes, I support this idea."
One after another, the higher ups and elders began to voice their support.
Instructors Wyatt and Dolly weren’t surprised, because no one wanted to get involved personally.
Otherwise, it could backfire on them. If powerful forces were involved, it was good for everyone.
Dean Parker heard everyone’s voice and sighed internally. He thought the members underestimated the Beast Taming Association.
If any similar powerful force made a request to them, they would definitely review it. It would be easier for them to find out if there were ulterior motives.
But if he could offer better rewards, the Beast Taming Association would definitely accept the request.
Finding everyone’s gaze on him, he looked at them and said, "I like the idea as well. But they are not fools. We need to offer better rewards. I’m thinking of offering a breathing method as a reward."
Gasp!
A small exclamation occurred. No one had thought that the Dean would offer a breathing method. Breathing methods were considered strategic resources.
The higher-ups exchanged looks. Some of them hesitated; they didn’t know whether to support this idea or not.
Dean Parker watched everyone’s reactions and shook his head. He knew that these people were neither willing to participate in this matter nor ready to offer resources.
His gaze sharpened as he said, "Listen, everyone. Do you think the Beast Taming Association doesn’t know about the killings?"
Gasp!
Hearing that, the elders sucked in a cold breath of air. Everyone saw that Dean Parker was not joking.
Dean Parker said, "They must have already figured out something was going on here. Students from some of their allied families were studying in our university as well. It’s hard to conceal information."
Hearing that higher ups and the elders felt right. The Beast Taming Association was not an ordinary force either. They must have their own intelligence gathering team.
