STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 609: Part 4: Departure

10th Zone, City-A

Head Neil Moon came back to the organization after sending off Jeremy Night.

He was worried that Jeremy Night could get involved in internal fights because Jeremy’s strength was still Tier-2.

Even at Tier-3, there was a risk of dying there. However, he knew that Jeremy Night was clever.

He could already see something wrong with the Tier-6 Mission here, so he thought Jeremy would be safe in the 5th Zone.

Meanwhile, Leader Gisela received the text message. After reading it, she informed Jeremy Night’s parents. They asked her to update them on the details regarding Jeremy Night.

But in the 5th Zone, they didn’t know whom to contact. Gisela assured them that Jeremy Night would find a way and would be in touch with them as well.

Ron and Nora Night calmed down. They were professional. They knew about their son’s secret, which even Leader Gisela wasn’t aware of.

Both of them thought that Jeremy Night was going to the 5th Zone because of the abundant resources. Once their son’s lifeline beast hatched, he could be like other top Beast Tamers.

They didn’t tell Gisela about this matter, and then they ended the call.

On the other hand, the serious Sinag and Ada read the text messages as well. They knew Jeremy Night was going to leave; they had discussed this last evening.

Still, they felt somewhat empty. Their former team was no more. Jeremy Night was the only male remaining, and now he had left the organization as well.

But they didn’t take it negatively. They knew Jeremy Night was growing fast. He would soon become a powerful Beast Tamer.

The long, fortified aircraft coursed through the air. The journey to the 5th Zone is going to be several days. The pilots had strict instructions.

They could neither go faster nor slower. They had a set speed for the long flight. There was a reason for these instructions.

The landmass between the 10th and 5th Zones was large. They had to go over the cities of other zones.

There was a great risk in the journey. The other zones were surrounded by wilderness. Each of the corrupted beasts in the wilderness was different.

Some of them were Sky Bird type corrupted beasts. The flights had problems with Sky Birds. In most cases, the bird beasts ignored them.

But there were corrupted beasts that attacked the flight out of curiosity. That was why the flights had at least Tier-6 Beast Tamers as captains.

In times of emergency, they emerged to fight against the Tier-6 Sky Bird beasts. It was rare for birds above Tier-6 to attack the flights.

It had happened before, but it was rare. However, when it did happen, none of the passengers were able to survive.

So, the pilots still had fear in their hearts. That was why they were given instructions to travel a specific route.

If they flew near the cities, the corrupted beasts wouldn’t attack them, or the city guards would come to help at any time. Even if a Sky Bird appeared, the city governors would drive it away.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night was sitting in his seat. He had closed his eyes and was listening to the conversations of the people around him.

His senses were strong to begin with. He could hear everyone’s murmurs clearly. He was using his senses now to collect valuable information.

Most of them were business people going to the 5th Zone. Only a few of them had other purposes like him, so their chit-chat was leaking some valuable information.

He was able to learn about the distribution of forces and their current conflicts.

Jeremy had the information given by Leader Gisela, but he didn’t plan to read it here. He was going to do that after reaching the location.

For the time being, the gossip of the people was enough.

Suddenly, he heard one particular conversation which caught his attention. It was between two female Tier-5 Beast Tamers. They were past middle age.

The two female Beast Tamers were discussing the change in climatic conditions. On their flight path, they could face a storm.

They were discussing whether the pilot would avoid the storm and immediately change direction, or if he would go through it.

If he chose to go through it, it would cause more danger. The Sky Bird beasts would be irritated by the storm. If they found out why a flight was coming out of the storm, they would attack the aircraft.

So, the Tier-5 female Beast Tamers were worried.

Jeremy Night’s heart sank. He didn’t know why he had to listen to their conversation. He heard such shocking news, though he didn’t know how much truth was in it.

But he noticed they were Tier-5 Beast Tamers. The way they were talking, it didn’t appear that they were from the 10th Zone.

He was confused. He continued to listen to their conversations to learn more.

Meanwhile, in the cockpit, the pilots received information about the upcoming storm. Both pilots got nervous. The storm situation was rare as well.

They didn’t expect to meet one. Unfortunately, they couldn’t divert the route. If they did that, there was a greater risk of encountering corrupted beasts.

Then there would be no chance for them to escape. At least on the set route, they could contact the Beast Tamers of the city.

Both pilots decided to go through the storm. If their plan were known to the passengers, they would be terrified.

As time went by, dark clouds could be seen on their path. Heavy rain started pouring all of a sudden. The long, fortified aircraft went through the clouds.

From time to time, there was lightning. Passengers heard the sound of thunder.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night’s heart was in turmoil. He had heard the words of the female Beast Tamers earlier.

Now both of their words had come true. They were indeed going to encounter the storm.
