5th Zone, City-A

"Don't worry about it. I almost forgot about the matter," Jeremy said to her.

Hearing that, Catherine finally relaxed. She was worried that Jeremy Night might be holding a grudge in his heart.

The stall owner brought the bowl of noodles to the table. Jeremy then asked the owner to bring another bowl of noodles for her.

Catherine smiled. Her gloomy mood disappeared.

She asked, "What are you doing these days?"

"I'm doing wilderness missions these days," Jeremy said to her.

Then, he revealed a bit of his wilderness experiences to her. He didn't reveal anything about the mission details.

Catherine was thinking about doing a wilderness mission together with Jeremy Night, but she knew her family wouldn't let her go on a mission with an outsider.

Jeremy saw through her thoughts. Actually, he wanted very little to do with her.

He had escaped from the Darkshade members; he didn't want to get into another problem. He started eating the noodles.

The stall owner brought another bowl of noodles and gave it to Catherine Rosewood. They started eating while maintaining small talk.

Taking the opportunity, Jeremy asked about Central University 5. He wanted to know what was going on there.

Catherine didn't hide anything. She was enthusiastic that Jeremy Night was chatting with her.

"Our senior students are going to visit the 4th Zone for training," Catherine said.

"Training?" Jeremy thought.

Catherine put the spoon down and looked at Jeremy Night.

"The top four zones are different. They have a frontline where fights against corrupted beasts happen every day," she said.

Hearing that, Jeremy's gaze turned solemn. He was finally hearing something interesting. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"The population of the top four zones is in the millions. The environment and resources there are superior. If you do well on the frontline, then you can earn more resources," Catherine said in a calm tone.

"The seniors are not only going there to train but to gain resources as well," she added.

Hearing that, Jeremy's eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He had been to different zones, but he thought the top four zones were surely different.

They were dangerous. Even the 5th Zone was dangerous because of the unexplored areas.

He surely wanted to visit other zones one day. It didn't take long for them to finish the food.

Both of them then stood up and paid the owner. Catherine didn't leave immediately but asked for his contact info.

Jeremy frowned. He didn't want to offend her, so he gave his contact info to her before leaving.

Knowingly or unknowingly, Catherine was attracted to him. He decided to maintain a friendly relationship with her.

20 minutes later, he returned to the Red Moon Chamber.

In the following days, he followed his daily routine. He would spend his time in the practice room, meditating and training his blade moves.

From time to time, he would try to increase his control over the starlight thread so that he could use it for a new move.

On the other side, Team Leader Melinda returned with her team. They had a successful mission with no casualties, though injuries were common.

They conducted their mission closer to the border. After coming back, everyone had a period of time to rest.

Melinda immediately learned about Jeremy Night. Hearing that he had come back from his mission before them, she was not surprised.

Instead, she wondered whether Jeremy Night was ready to do a team mission with them next time.

She knew Jeremy Night's combat prowess, so she didn't think he felt weak; rather, she believed the team members had annoyed him and he didn't want to meet them again.

Days went by. The whole city was busy with regular activities. The illegal members had long since become quiet.

There were no further activities from them. The backer behind the illegal organization had not reacted yet.

The major Beast Taming Forces had started their main mission: exploring the unexplored areas.

These areas were filled with rich resources. Since these forces needed a continuous supply of resources, they had to expand their territory into the unexplored regions.

Only the higher-tier beast tamers were qualified to participate in the exploration. Whenever news about the unexplored region came up, it would become trending news.

...

The next day,

Jeremy Night left the Red Moon Chamber building after several days. He was going to do a mission again.

He found that battle was the best way to progress quickly, especially since his talent was known as the "Supreme Combat Body." He understood that he should spend more time on the battlefield.

He didn't pick a mission from the organization. As usual, he preferred solo missions from the Beast Taming Association.

It didn't take long for him to reach the association. He walked directly into the building.

He entered the mission hall before joining the queue. Beast tamers from different forces were keen to do association missions as well because the association had a wide category of missions with the best rewards.

For him, the association missions were the best; he could find a mission suitable for him. While standing in line, he began to observe the people.

Soon, his turn came. He walked forward, seeing the staff before turning toward the huge screen. He started looking directly for a mission.

He was going to do a solo mission as usual. The staff saw this and didn't react.

He was doing the mission to gain battle experience, so he selected another plant-gathering mission.

Such treasure plants were usually guarded by beasts. Last time, he was lucky and didn't find beasts near the thorn-type trees.

After selecting the mission, he turned toward the staff. The staff then evaluated and registered the mission.

He left the mission hall but didn't leave for the wilderness directly. He decided to go to the Beast Taming Store next. The store belonging to the association was nearby.

He walked inside. He was looking for a strong beast-repellent odor, one that even the beasts of the unexplored area would avoid.
