Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 711: The Price of Love
Jason continued his conversation with the system.
’So this room is actually a pocket dimension? Was Hesabeth saying the truth earlier? Can I really not leave until the seven days are over?’
[Unfortunately, the system is certain that Hesabeth is telling the truth. This room is known as Merivo’s Paradise, and it is a pocket dimension that belongs to the race of merchants known as the Eternal Wanderers. For a long time, the room was a sacred piece of their culture that they used whenever there was an important meeting between the various leaders within the race. But over time, the Eternal Wanderers became less organized and more nomadic, and the need for these meetings diminished until it vanished completely. After this happened, the room became a rentable space that people could pay to use for a certain period of time. Although it is just a single pocket dimension, the Eternal Wanderers are capable of creating any world that the customer wishes within this space, and the fact that the room was separate from the rest of the Primordial Domain made it very popular amongst mages who wished to carry out dangerous experiments or Dead Apostles such as yourself who wished to go through their isolation without external influence. A single day’s use of Merivo’s Paradise costs no less than a million gold coins, so the system believes Hesabeth put down a small fortune of close to ten million gold coins in order to ensure the user’s safety during his seven-day isolation.]
Jason paused with his hand on the final doorknob as he read all of this, and he felt his brow furrow in shock! A million gold coins for a single room!? That was insane! Jason knew that Hesabeth was extremely rich because she was a Queen as well as the leader of a Primordial Domain, so it wasn’t impossible to think that she would have so much money! But that doesn’t mean a million gold coins wasn’t still an insane amount to pay just to use a room for a single day! There was no way something like that was justified! Jason shook his head as he finally pushed open the final door in the room, and the first thing that hit him was a fresh breeze! Jason felt his hair flutter slightly from the wind, and his eyes widened as he took in the sight in front of him! It was the most beautiful garden Jason had ever seen. There were large fruit trees scattered around a massive grassland, and flowers of various colors littered the ground. White clouds drifted lazily across the pale blue sky, and in the center of the garden, under a large tree that blocked out the sunlight, was a blanket and a picnic basket. Jason hummed calmly as he took it all in. This was not what he had expected when he opened this door.
"I can see you like my little present to you. I figured you would lose your mind if we were stuck indoors all throughout your isolation, so I paid a little extra to have them craft this room as well. All the fruits are edible, and the weather is perfect every day. We can eat our meals out here and talk without needing to stay inside the room all the time. Although I wouldn’t mind spending time with you in bed."
Hesabeth came up from behind Jason and she said all this while taking in the beautiful scenery as well! This scenery alone had cost Hesabeth an extra two million gold coins, and even though Hesabeth was going to be spending about ten million gold coins over the next seven days for using Merivo’s Paradise, she didn’t care since this was an opportunity for her to get close to Jason. If it meant that she could spend more time with Jason, then Hesabeth would have even spent more money!
Jason scoffed when he heard Hesabeth say that she wouldn’t mind spending time in bed with him, and he decided to just ignore it as he continued appreciating the beautiful scenery in front of him. Hesabeth had really put a lot of effort into this, and Jason couldn’t help but feel a bit of appreciation toward her! It was obvious that she considered Jason’s comfort over everything else. But Jason found it weird that he had to go through all this just to become a Dead Apostle. In fact, what did it even mean to be a Dead Apostle in the first place? Jason asked this question to the system, and the system’s answer shocked him.
[The title of Dead Apostle is an exalted position held by only twelve Vympires at any point in history. This title grants the Vympire the privilege of sitting at the Court of Dead Apostles and presiding over the affairs of the entire Vympire race. As one of the strongest races in the Primordial Expanse, the Vympires have been known to control multiple worlds across their domain, and as of right now, the Vympire race lays claim to fifteen different worlds as their home. But the user’s case is uniquely special, because not only is he now a Dead Apostle, but he was also granted this power by the previous Queen of Nox, Gillian. And as a result of this, the user now has a right to claim both the title of King of the Vympir race, but also the Eighth Seat on the Council of Nine and One that is reserved for the ruler of Nox. That seat is currently held by the false Queen of the Vympires, Lamina, but since Lamina was once the servant of Gillian, and the user inherited Gillian’s Blood Oath, Lamina has automatically become the servant of the user, and she will willingly step down to make way for the user’s ascension.]
’Huh... no wonder she looked like her world was about to end back then. Lamina’s entire life turned on its head when Gillian gave me her Blood Oath.’
Jason didn’t feel any remorse for Lamina because he knew that Lamina hadn’t been on his side from the start. Lamina’s pain was none of his concern. But Jason didn’t even know if he was interested in taking the title as the King of the Vympires. Right now, Jason didn’t know how the rest of the world was reacting to his actions on Machina, and he also didn’t know if his title as a Black Enigma was still in place or not. If Jason went out of this pocket dimension, would he be arrested immediately?
Jason turned as he saw Hesabeth walking beside him, and he felt his eyes trail down towards her silk gown. The sunlight was reflecting off her gown in a way that made it translucent, so it was easy for Jason to see her nipples through the cloth, and when Jason looked down, he saw that she was wearing only some white panties under the gown! Hesabeth noticed how Jason was staring at her, and she smiled at him, and Jason just let out another calm sigh as he turned away. Why should Hesabeth feel shy about showing herself off to the man that she wanted to be with?
"If any other man were to see what I am showing you so freely, then they would’ve been put to death at that moment. But they would’ve died happy since the sight of my nakedness would’ve given their life meaning. You should show more appreciation for my graciousness."
Jason hummed in response to Hesabeth’s words as he continued to look around, and Hesabeth frowned slightly at his lack of a reaction. Jason then spoke up.
"How are things out there right now? What’s going to happen once I leave this place?"
Jason’s question was simple enough, but there were so many layers hidden within that one question that Hesabeth knew that she couldn’t just give a simple answer to it. Hesabeth huffed slightly before she grabbed Jason’s hand and began to pull him towards the large tree in the distance.
"Come, let us sit and talk. My servants will soon bring out our breakfast, so we must be comfortable for such a lengthy conversation."
