Gina felt shock pass through her body as she began to realise what was actually going on, and she was about to say something to Ulyn, but Jason brought himself closer to get a better look at Ulyn, and he asked Gina what they were talking about since he couldn’t hear anything they were saying! But once Jason came closer, Ulyn immediately squealed like a little girl as her entire face grew to an even deeper shade of red, and Ulyn quickly dove into Gina’s hair to hide! Gina immediately burst out in laughter as she realised exactly what was happening! Ulyn had a legitimate crush on Jason! Gina couldn’t believe it! All this time, Ulyn had been so mean and cruel to Gina, but all it took for Ulyn to show her cute side was Jason’s handsome face! Jason raised a brow at Gina’s sudden laughter, and he asked her what was so funny. Gina smiled as she spoke.
"You’re not going to believe this, babe. My fairy actually has a crush on you – ow! Don’t pull my hair, you bitch!"
Gina turned to the side and screamed at Ulyn, and Ulyn shouted back at Gina from inside her hair!
’Don’t tell him I have a crush on him, you barbarian! It’s embarrassing!’
’I’ll tell him whatever I want! He’s my fiancé!’
’Hah! So what if he’s your fiancé! You two aren’t married yet, and that means I still have a chance with him! Just you wait! I’m way cuter than you, so I’ll make him fall for me in no time!’
Gina scoffed loudly as she spoke!
’You couldn’t even look him in the eye, and you want to steal him from me? How about you practice talking to him without running away first!’
Ulyn felt an insane blush growing on her cheeks as Gina said this, and she shouted right back in embarrassment!
’T-That was just because I was seeing him for the first time! I was just o-overwhelmed! Yes, I was just overwhelmed! I’ll talk to him properly next time! You’ll see!’
Gina rolled her eyes at Ulyn’s false bravado, and Jason just watched the entire interaction with a small smile on his face, and he wondered if this was what he looked like whenever he spoke to Esdeath or any of his other subordinates in his mind. If any normal person saw this, then they would definitely think that there was something wrong with Gina! But thankfully, Jason wasn’t just any normal person, so he understood what was going on, and he just waited for them to finish their conversation before he spoke to Gina. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Don’t you two get along? I thought she was meant to help you grow stronger."
Gina sighed tiredly and shook her head. Gina didn’t even know what to call Ulyn. Even though Ulyn was supposed to be Gina’s spirit partner, it was difficult for Gina to accept Ulyn since Ulyn just refused to put any effort into helping Gina! Gina spoke up with a small frown on her face!
"Yes, she’s my spirit partner. The Spirit Queen put us together since she believes we both have a lot of potential, but Ulyn’s a real piece of work. I’ve been trying to get close to her all this time, but she just refuses to work with me. She doesn’t even want to help me when we’re fighting – Ow! I told you to stop pulling my hair!"
Gina suddenly shouted at Ulyn when Ulyn pulled her hair again, and Ulyn poked her head out from Gina’s hair! Ulyn was pouting with a small blush on her face, and when she spoke, Gina almost couldn’t believe what she heard!
’Look, I was just angry back then, alright!? I-I wasn’t thinking straight, and I said a lot of things I didn’t mean! I’ll help you if you need me to, so don’t tell him stuff that’ll make me look bad!’
Once she was done talking, Ulyn peeked at Jason again, and she felt her blush returning with a vengeance as she saw Jason smiling at her kindly! Ulyn quickly flew back into Gina’s hair to hide, and Gina could only stare with wide eyes as she tried to process what she had just heard! Did Ulyn just agree to work together!? There was no way it could possibly be this easy! Ulyn agreed to help her simply because she didn’t want Gina to tell Jason anything bad about her!?
A feeling of vindictiveness suddenly rose from somewhere deep inside Gina’s heart, and Jason turned to his fiancée in surprise when he heard her chuckling like some low-budget movie villain! Jason raised a surprised brow at Gina’s action and asked her what the hell she was doing, and Gina blushed and told Jason that it was nothing! Jason smiled in amusement while asking Gina if she had finally gone crazy, and Gina hit Jason’s shoulder with a pout before she just moved closer and kissed Jason softly while thanking him.
"You have to be some sort of good luck charm or something. You’ve only been back for a few minutes, and you’ve already solved all my problems, baby. Thank you."
Jason had no idea what Gina was talking about, but he was glad that he could help, and he just nodded with a calm smile. Jason finally got up from the floor, and after he helped Gina to stand up as well, they began trekking out of the forest together. They both knew that they could’ve flown out of the forest much faster, but neither of them felt like rushing since they wanted to make their time together last for as long as possible. As they walked through the forest, multiple Legion subordinates could be seen walking beside them. Ragnar cast a large shadow over Jason and Gina as he flew over the forest, and Fenrir let out a low howl as he and his wolf pack ran through the trees freely. The subordinates didn’t need to be out here since Jason didn’t have anything to fear from the spirits in this forest, but Jason just let them come out since they wanted to enjoy the forest as well.
Gina was hanging onto Jason’s arm with a wide smile on her face, and at some point during the walk, Gina simply jumped on Jason’s back and made him carry her as he continued walking. The trek out of the forest took them a few hours, and they didn’t run into any hostile spirits or monsters since Jason’s mere presence was preventing them from even getting closer! Jason was now a TITAN Rank III who was only a step away from becoming a PRIMORDIAL, and even though Jason was suppressing his power to make sure it didn’t affect the people around him, the spirits around the forest could still sense the sheer amount of power inside Jason, and they knew that getting involved with him would be the worst idea they ever had! Jason and Gina continued their peaceful walk and shared stories about what they had gone through during their time apart.
Gina told Jason all about her training with Farlow, as well as the cute little girls that she had become friends with, and Jason told Gina about his training to control his Vympiric side as well as the new responsibilities that came with his powers. Jason mentioned Hesbeath’s constant advances as well, and even though Jason could feel Gina’s anger the moment he spoke about Hesbeath, Jason was glad when Gina didn’t even ask if anything had happened between the two of them. Jason might have eyes for many women, but he had promised himself that he wouldn’t do anything that would hurt Gina, and he was happy that Gina trusted him enough to know that he wouldn’t break his word.
