Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time-Chapter 634: Fighting The Guards
"So. They finally move."
Han Yu smirked faintly.
Perfect.
Everything was as he planned.
He continued walking, hands behind his back, looking like a bored traveler.
Until Elder Bai stepped into the street from the opposite side.
His voice boomed.
"You! Stop right there!"
People immediately backed away from the confrontation, fleeing like birds startled by thunder.
Han Yu stopped walking.
He did not turn around just yet.
Elder Bai strode closer and snarled, "You are coming with us. Do not resist. If you cooperate, you may avoid suffering."
Han Yu turned slightly, looking over his shoulder with a calm expression.
"Oh? Is that so?"
Elder Bai grit his teeth.
"Surround him."
Guards appeared from every direction.
Civilians whispered in fear and awe as they scattered.
Han Yu's smile widened just a fraction.
"Finally."
Everything was going exactly as he wanted.
The justification he sought was about to fall into his hands.
Han Yu stood calmly in the middle of the bazaar street, one hand behind his back, the other loosely at his side as if he were merely stretching his fingers rather than preparing for slaughter.
It was the evening but there were still a lot of people outside. They watched from behind crates, behind stalls, from alleys, and from rooftops, breath held in fear and anticipation.
Before him stood nearly twenty guards of the Birch Leaf Merchant Clan.
Most were Qi refining cultivators. Two were at the core condensation realm. One was Elder Bai, scowling ferociously, and the other was a wiry man with a long spear and a narrow face. His aura was weaker than Bai's, though still respectable for a hired cultivator.
Han Yu scanned them lazily with spirit sense.
Ten early Qi refining. Four mid stage. Two late stage. One Mid Stage core condensation. One early stage core condensation.
A trivial lineup.
He had crushed stronger enemies in the sect just with his bare fists. Compared to those disciples, these people were like sickly cats pretending to be tigers.
Han Yu chuckled lightly, placing his foot forward.
"You have brought quite the entourage of pigs. I must applaud your creativity."
The guards stilled, offended but also confused. They looked at each other.
'Did he just call them pigs?'
Elder Bai's expression darkened, but before he could speak, Han Yu tilted his head mockingly.
"I did say to bring some good ones. Yet you show up with the same third rate trash. And the core condensation realm cultivator you brought this time is even weaker than expected. Where did you find him? A gambling den?"
The weaker core condensation cultivator bristled. His face reddened with humiliation.
"You will regret this, brat. The order is clear. We break your limbs, drag you back, and show you what happens when you provoke the Birch Leaf Clan."
Han Yu whistled, slow and amused.
"Your tongues keep writing checks your ass will never cash."
Some of the bystanders skittishly backed away, clutching their mouths to keep themselves from laughing. The tension twisted thicker.
Elder Bai snapped, "Enough! Attack!"
And that was all Han Yu needed.
The guards moved as one. Their boots thundered on the stone pavement. Qi flared in their palms. Several drew blades. Four drew talismans from their belts.
Han Yu only smiled.
He flicked his fingers.
Six nearly invisible needles of Soul Qi shot out silently, faster than arrows, faster than the guards' own thoughts.
Six guards froze as the Soul Needles pierced their consciousness. Their bodies stiffened like statues, eyes wide with confusion.
Han Yu walked forward.
Two guards came from his front, swords drawn. He lowered his stance and rammed his shoulder into the first, shattering ribs with the casual force of a charging bull. The second he caught by the collar and hurled into a fruit stall.
Wood cracked. Fruits flew everywhere.
Before the second guard even landed, Han Yu spun, sweeping his leg low. Two more guards rushing in had their legs knocked out. They crashed onto the ground.
Elder Bai and the spear cultivator lunged at the same time.
Elder Bai's footwork technique activated, turning him into a flickering blur. His palm glowed with murderous energy.
"Flesh Mincing Palm!"
Meanwhile the spear cultivator thrust forward at Han Yu's throat with a loud battle cry.
The spear was remarkably fast. A less experienced core condensation cultivator would have been skewered.
Han Yu did not even turn his head.
He bent forward slightly, letting the spear pass directly over his shoulder and continue toward Elder Bai's ribs.
"Watch your aim," Han Yu muttered.
Elder Bai's eyes widened in terror as the spearhead whistled toward him. He jerked sideways, stumbling and nearly falling. His precious footwork became a clumsy shuffle.
Han Yu straightened and twisted his body, delivering a heavy kick to the spear cultivator's side. The man flew backward, tumbling across the stone road like a barrel down a slope.
Han Yu's fist then collided cleanly with Elder Bai's cheek, sending him staggering five steps back. Blood spurted from his mouth.
"That is two core condensation guards, yet your combined strength is still disappointing," Han Yu said with a faint smirk.
While the two leaders recoiled and regained control, the stunned Qi refining guards stood helplessly like mannequins.
Han Yu's expression changed.
He became cold.
Efficient.
A predator walking calmly into a pen of sheep.
He reached into his storage pouch, pulled out a plain dagger, and began walking through the frozen guards.
The first throat he slit splashed warm blood onto his arm.
The second gurgled as his windpipe collapsed.
The third blinked twice before his body slumped.
The fourth's head tilted at an unnatural angle as Han Yu sliced through vein and muscle.
The fifth coughed blood across the stones.
The sixth stared in disbelief before falling.
A few bystanders cried softly. Some gagged. None dared intervene.
Han Yu did not even break rhythm.
The lingering four guards, those who had not been stunned by Soul Needle, recovered just in time to see their comrades collapsing like slaughtered livestock.
