Sweet Revenge With My Billionaire Vampire-Chapter 56: He Took The Bullets Himself.
Dacatt threw his hands in the air. "That fiancé of hers! He shielded her with his body and took the bullet himself. This is the second time that bastard has saved her from my bullet. He’s too fast. It doesn’t make sense."
"Did you say he took the bullet?" Evans asked.
Dacatt nodded. "I shot him twice. One bullet in his shoulder and one in his stomach. They ran off. I doubt he’s surviving that."
Evans felt a surge of satisfaction ripple through him, his lips curling into a sinister smile. He stood up and strode over to the edge of the balcony, pausing in front of the railing. He took a long breath, savoring the cool evening breeze.
"I hope he doesn’t survive," he said casually. "With that idiot out of the way, killing Adeline will be child’s play."
Dacatt chuckled dryly, helping himself to a biscuit from the tray on the table. "It’s only a matter of time, Evans. If he’s not already dead, he will be soon." He tossed the biscuit into his mouth, chewing carelessly.
Evans gave a nod, signaling his agreement as he rotated to face Dacatt. "Seeing as they haven’t returned yet, he must be in terrible condition. Or worse."
Dacatt brushed the crumbs off his hands, standing up as he did so. "I’ll be on my way now. I have other things to handle."
"Alright," Evans said, dismissing him with a wave of his hand as he turned away.

Andrei stood in the middle of Enzo’s estate, his eyes fixed on the towering iron gate that protected it. He peered down at his wristwatch, taking note of the time before striding towards the small guardhouse that bordered the entrance.
The gate guard, previously dozing off in his chair, snapped to attention as he perceived Andrei approaching.
"Open the gate," he ordered.
The gateman nodded, moving to comply, but as he reached for the gate, the faint rumble of an approaching car drew his attention. He paused, narrowing his eyes at the unfamiliar vehicle speeding toward them.
"That’s not one of Mr. Enzo’s cars," he said, glancing back at Andrei for confirmation. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Andrei nodded curtly. "Let it through."
The gate creaked open, and the car surged through, coming to a screeching halt in front of the mansion. The driver’s side door flew open, and Adeline stumbled out, her face pale and frantic as she pointed toward the passenger seat. "He’s in there!"
Andrei wasted no time. He made his way towards the car and wrenched open the passenger door, only to find Enzo lying in the seat, blood soaking through the makeshift bandages around his stomach and shoulder.
A sigh escaped him as he assessed the situation. "My liege," he murmured, reaching in to pull Enzo into a sitting position.
Enzo groaned faintly but managed a weak nod as Andrei slung one of his arms over his own shoulders, supporting his weight. Slowly, he helped him out of the car.
The moment Enzo’s feet touched the ground, his knees nearly buckled under the pain. Blood seeped through the fabric around his stomach, dripping onto the stone driveway.
"Easy, my liege," Andrei said, tightening his grip around Enzo’s torso as he began guiding him toward the front door.
Adeline stood by the car, covering her mouth with her hands. Her wide eyes followed every painful step Andrei and Enzo took toward the mansion. The sight of Enzo’s blood trailing behind them made her shiver.
As the two disappeared through the front door, two maids appeared with mops and buckets, wordlessly cleaning the blood from the floor.
She turned, locking the vehicle before rushing after Andrei and Enzo.
-
The door to one of the guest rooms creaked open, and Adeline emerged, stepping inside before quickly moving aside, leaving ample space for them to enter.
Andrei guided Enzo toward the bed and carefully lowered him onto the mattress.
Enzo grimaced, his face contorting in pain as he leaned back onto the pillows.
Andrei swiveled towards Adeline, extending his index finger and pointing at the windows. "Close them, please."
She nodded, hurrying to shut the windows and then the curtains. When she turned back, she found Andrei standing beside a long table on the other side of the bed. It was neatly arranged with medical supplies—a bullet extractor forceps, cotton wool, bandages, latex gloves, and a face mask.
He removed his suit jacket and handed it to Adeline. As she accepted it, her gaze flitted between him and the tools laid out on the table. Her mind still in a state of shock, she failed to fully comprehend what was about to happen.
Andrei picked up the gloves, sliding them onto his hands with a loud snap. He then picked up the face mask and secured it over his nose and mouth before glancing down at Enzo.
"Boss?"
Enzo’s eyelids slowly fluttered open, and he offered a small, affirmative nod. "Go on."
Andrei nodded back, untying the makeshift bandage on Enzo’s shoulder and stomach and discarding them. He then proceeded to unbutton his shirt.
When he was done, he placed his hand on Enzo’s shoulder, lifting him just enough to slide the blood-soaked shirt off his back. It stuck momentarily to his wounds before peeling away. The fabric, soaked in crimson, made a wet slap against the ground as Andrei tossed it aside before reaching for the bullet extractor forceps.
Adeline, who had been standing silently, finally realized what was about to happen. Her eyes widened in panic, and she dropped the jacket she was holding, rushing over to Andrei.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! What the heck are you about to do?" She asked, waving her hands frantically.
Andrei paused, holding up the forceps with a raised brow. He snapped the tool twice, the metallic sound echoing in the room, as if to scare her. "I’m going to painfully stab into Boss’s wounds, search for the bullets, and pull them out," he explained casually, as though it were the most normal thing in the world.
"S-stab!?" Adeline exclaimed, her face filled with disbelief as she whipped her head over to Enzo. "What the hell are you two thinking? Why can’t you just go to a hospital and have this done properly? Are you trying to die or what?"
