Chapter 563: Chapter 604: Mischievous Woman

Adrian Desmond took Sienna Johnson to an Alennese restaurant with a strange name. Sienna was so captivated by the restaurant’s decor and ocean view that she didn’t catch its name.

The table Adrian had reserved offered a fantastic view of the ocean. The open window let in a sea breeze that gently rustled Sienna’s hair.

"Back then, I wanted to bring you here..." Adrian said, looking at Sienna’s relaxed and beautiful face.

"Back then?"

"Yes. But you never showed me a pleasant face back then," Adrian said, his gaze tinged with grievance and a hint of anger.

"The past is past. Can we not talk about it?"

"Alright."

Sienna wasn’t a big fan of Western food, especially this Alennese restaurant in Abyanabad, which incorporated the local preference for sweeter flavors.

"Not to your liking?" Adrian asked, noticing she hadn’t eaten much, his knife and fork still in hand.

"This pasta isn’t even as good as Orienta’s fried noodles..." Sienna said with a grimace, twirling the pasta with her fork.

"Pregnant women should eat lighter food. The pasta here is authentic, and the restaurant is very popular. I had to book in advance to get this table. Mrs. Desmond, could you try to be a bit more cooperative?"

Sienna asked the waiter for chili sauce and ketchup and proceeded to rework the unpalatable pasta.

Adrian watched as Sienna liberally added chili sauce and ketchup to her pasta. When some ketchup dripped onto her hand, she licked it off. Adrian’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

The pasta was now a startling bright red, and Adrian couldn’t even recall its original color. "Can you actually eat that?"

Sienna took a bite, licked the corner of her mouth, and grinned at him. "It tastes amazing!"

Adrian rubbed his temples, watching the woman attack the terrifying concoction. Abyanabad’s cuisine leaned towards light and sweet, but this woman clearly had a preference for strong flavors. Fortunately, they were in a private room; otherwise, her eating style might have scared other diners.

"I need to have Kiki send me a box of spicy chili sauce. I really can’t get used to the food here."

"You seemed to manage fine with the food on the island. How did your tastes change so much after just a few years in Sileria City?"

Sienna, who was indeed feeling hungry, began to eat more heartily. "I was your prisoner back then. Have you ever heard of a captive being picky about food?"

"Mrs. Desmond, you certainly endured a lot with great patience back then!" Adrian said sarcastically.

"Heh..." Sienna didn’t dare tell Adrian that, at the time, her only thought had been to kill him and go home.

...

After dinner, they went to a movie.

Adrian’s idea of a date was rather uninspired. Then again, what could one expect from a man with no practical experience with women, whose entire repertoire came from clichéd idol dramas?

However, Sienna felt that as long as they were together, what they did wasn’t important.

"Hey, you’re actually waiting in line to buy tickets? Isn’t this your turf? Can’t you pull some strings?" Sienna asked, nudging Adrian’s arm.

"I just want to have a normal honeymoon, okay?"

With their striking looks, the couple naturally drew attention wherever they went. Sure enough, while they were waiting in line, a few people approached them.

People were sneakily taking pictures of them. Standing behind Adrian, Sienna found herself subjected to similar attention. Some, intimidated by Adrian’s cold demeanor, kept poking Sienna.

"Are you two celebrities?" one of them asked. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Sienna looked at the student in her school uniform, who was gazing at her with curiosity, and smiled. "We are."

"Are you a celebrity too?" the student pressed.

"No, I’m his assistant," Sienna replied.

"Oh," the student said. "But I’ve never seen him before. Is he a singer or a movie star?"

"He’s a new talent our company is promoting," Sienna explained. "He trained professionally as an actor, and our company invested a lot to sign him."

"Oh, I see..."

"That’s right."

Sienna answered all the young girls’ questions with a straight face. She explained that Adrian was a rising star their agency was launching, soon to appear in Spielberg’s *Ultimate Warrior*, spinning a very convincing tale.

"You’re saying too much," Adrian interjected, playing along and convincingly portraying a star on the verge of his debut.

"I’m sorry," Sienna said respectfully to Adrian.

Turning back to the girls, she said apologetically, "Sorry, I can’t reveal too much more."

Their seamless performance convinced even the young girls who had initially been skeptical.

"Tell us more! Does he have a girlfriend?"

"He’s single," Sienna whispered.

Adrian, standing ahead of them, coughed pointedly a few times, reminding Sienna not to take it too far. Sienna immediately stopped her charade with the young girls and followed Adrian obediently. She waved a hand somewhat helplessly at the surrounding people, saying, "Please don’t ask anymore, and please don’t take pictures. Otherwise, I’ll lose my job. I’m really sorry."

Sienna’s plea did reduce the number of people taking pictures or bothering them. However, a few muttered under their breath, "He’s not even famous yet and he’s already putting on such airs. Imagine what he’ll be like when he actually makes it big. Forget taking pictures. Who’d want to photograph him anyway? I’m certainly not going to be one of his mindless fans."

Sienna knew Adrian had a short fuse, so she whispered, "Don’t stoop to their level. Just let it go."

Adrian turned to Sienna and smiled. "I’m single? Hmm?"

"I was just teasing those young girls."

Adrian gazed at Sienna intently, a smile still playing on his lips. An uncomfortable feeling washed over Sienna.

"Sixth Master, you’re an up-and-coming star. You shouldn’t look at me like that. People might misunderstand and think there’s something going on between you and your lowly assistant."

Adrian’s mouth twitched, and he pointedly avoided looking at her again.

When it was Adrian’s turn to buy tickets, Sienna looked at the handful of tickets in his hand, frowned, and said, "Aren’t we the only two watching the movie?"

"Yes."

"Then why did you buy so many tickets?"

Adrian replied, "I don’t want anyone else sitting next to you."

What a ridiculous reason!

"That’s such a waste of resources! We could have just watched a movie at home. Don’t you have a home theater in your house in Abyanabad? The viewing experience there is no worse than in a cinema. We could have even watched with Curly and had popcorn and snacks."

Adrian countered, "It wouldn’t have the same atmosphere."

"Sigh, such a waste."

Adrian’s lips quirked into a smile. "Can’t we stop talking about money? It’s so common."

"Money is wonderful! I love money!"
