Chapter 621: Chapter 662: Wife Runs Away Again

"When did I ever say I didn’t want him?"

Adrian stroked Sienna’s belly gently and said softly to the child, "Son, don’t believe what your mom just said. She’s furious right now, and her words don’t count. Daddy wants you, and you must be born safe and sound!"

After comforting the little one, Adrian turned to appease the older one. "Don’t be angry, alright? I was wrong. I apologize."

"Sixth Master, can you tell me precisely where you were wrong?"

"Wherever you say I was wrong, that’s where I was wrong."

This statement, far from dispelling Sienna’s anger, only fanned the flames higher. Sienna glared at him furiously. "You don’t even know where you went wrong, so what are you apologizing for? Or is Sixth Master just trying to placate me with no sincerity whatsoever?"

Adrian felt like this woman was driving him mad. "What on earth do you want me to do?" he demanded, struggling equally hard to suppress his own rising anger.

Both of them had short tempers. Adrian, mindful that she was pregnant, had been trying to accommodate her feelings and restrain himself. Although they usually argued, during those times, they would consciously take a step back. Today was different; Sienna was being relentlessly aggressive, leaving him no room to maneuver.

"Where are you going?"

Sienna, her face cold and heavy with anger, turned and walked away, not even bothering to get in the car.

"Stop right there!"

However, Adrian didn’t chase after her. Instead, he warned, "Sienna, I’ve humbled myself enough for one day, and I’ve apologized. What more do you want from me?"

Brett Jacobs watched Sienna walk away and advised, "Sixth Master, shouldn’t we go after her?"

"She chose to leave on her own!"

Brett and Tatu looked at Sixth Master, who was being stubbornly obstinate, and lowered their heads. At a time like this, what did a man’s dignity matter? Coaxing his wife back was the most important thing.

"Madam is unfamiliar with this place. What if she gets lost?" Tatu began, "Madam is so beautiful; even though she’s pregnant, her charm hasn’t diminished. What if she runs into human traffickers like Charlie Parker again?" He deliberately brought up the incident that had always weighed heavily on Adrian’s mind.

As expected, Adrian was moved. "What are you lot standing around for? Go after her, quickly!"

"Yes!"

Brett and Tatu rushed off in the direction Sienna had taken. Adrian stood there for a moment, but then, unable to hold back any longer, he followed them.

"Sienna, you’ve really got me this time!"

Less than five minutes had passed since she stormed off, but Adrian had already lost Sienna’s trail.

"Sienna!"

He searched anxiously for her through the streets of Abyanabad. So many faces, yet not a single one was hers.

"Sienna, where are you?"

Adrian panicked. The memory of when Charlie Parker had abducted her surfaced, and worry gnawed at him. All sorts of terrible scenarios flashed through his mind, making it impossible for him to remain calm.

Some perverts took special pleasure in tormenting pregnant women... The mere thought of it sent a shiver down Adrian’s spine, his entire body turning ice-cold.

Brett and Tatu found Adrian and reported, "Sixth Master, we couldn’t find Madam!"

"She’s pregnant; she can’t have gone far. Keep searching! Get Aaron Faber to check the nearby surveillance footage! I refuse to believe she could just vanish into thin air," Adrian commanded.

"Yes!"

Half an hour later, the highly efficient Aaron Faber sent over the nearby surveillance footage. It showed Sienna getting into a black car. The driver seemed to know the local surveillance camera layout well, as the car quickly vanished from the video feeds before its license plate could be captured.

"Sixth Master, what should we do?"

Adrian sat there, staring at Sienna’s blurry face on the monitor, motionless for a long while. He said nothing, but he was consumed by regret. She’s just a woman; why did I have to lower myself to arguing with her like that?

Just as everyone was at their wit’s end, Brett’s phone buzzed. It was a text message, and it was from Sienna.

If it weren’t for the urgency, Brett really wouldn’t have wanted to bring it up. This is just throwing me to the wolves! She knows Sixth Master’s phone number, so why send the message to me? 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

"Sixth Master, Madam sent me a text message," Brett said, steeling himself.

Adrian’s sharp gaze swept over him. Brett, despite his large frame, wished he could shrink down and disappear.

"What did the message say?"

Brett hurriedly handed his phone to Adrian for him to see. Adrian didn’t take the phone, merely lowering his gaze to read the message on Brett’s screen.

"I’m with a friend. We’re heading to a hotel later. Tell Sixth Master to bring my family off the island tomorrow. We’ll return to Sileria City in the afternoon."

The oppressive aura around Adrian intensified, and the two men felt the air around them chill by several degrees.

Sixth Master was furious, on the very brink of an explosion.

Both men instinctively flinched, wishing they could become invisible so Sixth Master wouldn’t see them; otherwise, they might become collateral damage at any moment.

"Investigate! Check every single hotel! I want to know which hotel she’s staying at tonight!"

It was clear none of them would be getting any sleep tonight. "Yes, Sixth Master!"

Adrian’s face was so dark it looked like a thundercloud. Just as the two men stepped out, they heard the crash of things smashing inside.

The two men exchanged glances, a shared look of grudging admiration in their eyes. Yes, they had to admire Sienna. It took real guts to provoke Sixth Master to this extent. She certainly had a way about her.

Walter Klein hurried over, saw Brett and Tatu, and asked, "What are you two doing standing here?"

"You’re finally here! Madam ran away from home and said she’s returning to Sileria City tomorrow. Master Leland is inside, throwing a fit."

"I understand. Hurry and find her. Locate Madam as soon as possible."

"Sigh, it won’t be quick. Do you have any idea how many hotels there are in Abyanabad? And that’s not even counting all the small inns," Tatu said, spreading his hands helplessly.

"You still have to find her!"

"We know."

Several groups split up to conduct the search. Walter Klein, hearing the sounds of destruction from within, stood at the doorway. He took a few deep breaths, made the sign of the cross over his chest, and muttered a prayer for protection before bracing himself and stepping inside.

"Sixth Master..."

"Have you found her?"

The room was a disaster, Adrian’s study practically demolished. Still, Walter thought, if it helped Sixth Master vent his anger, then it was a small price to pay.

"Not yet! But we’ve tracked the car. It was heading towards the docks."

Adrian’s leather shoes crunched on broken glass. "Do you know who owns that car?"

"The license plate couldn’t be traced."

"Send a team to watch the docks. Report to me the instant anything happens!"

"Yes!"

"Once you find Madam, replace all her bodyguards! They’re a bunch of incompetents. I can’t trust them with her safety."

Walter Klein remained silent. Madam’s current bodyguards were all top-notch. If they were indeed replaced, where on earth would they find anyone better?
