Chapter 586: Chapter 583 A Very Gentle Person

Hua Xiaomo looked at Zi Yunsui, a smile playing on his lips. Her own eyes twinkled as she blinked. Gazing at him, she thought he seemed a little mischievous. He was truly handsome, very tall, and at times, such a gentle person. However, if you weren’t familiar with him, you might find him quite aloof. In truth, to those he knew well, he was a very warm person. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Alright, once I’ve settled everything, I’ll let you know," Zi Yunsui said quickly, a hint of melancholy in his eyes. "I haven’t decided yet; I still need to discuss the date with Ye Xiangxue. By the way, Hua Xiaomo, I think you really should consider this aspect too! But what I mean is, do you still want to be with Qi Longbing?"

Starting a company with Zi Yunsui is fine, Hua Xiaomo thought, but discussing feelings is a bit awkward. She didn’t know what to say to him, especially since she truly didn’t know when Qi Longbing would be able to sort out his affairs. If he could resolve his issues, they could be together and provide a stable home for their child, which was what she longed for. But as things stand, it seems Qi Longbing still needs more time to deal with his own matters. Ugh, this situation really seems so troublesome. And who knows when that Pan Yutong will stop pestering Qi Longbing, give up on him, and let him be free? Well, sometimes, one really needs to think carefully, to understand things clearly and thoroughly.

"I don’t know when he’ll divorce Pan Yutong," Hua Xiaomo said, looking at the young man beside her, Zi Yunsui. "But I’m hoping he can sort it out quickly. Once he’s dealt with it, the child and I can finally settle down."

Actually, it has been a long time since she’d had a heart-to-heart talk with him, she reflected. Often, she needed a friend to confide in, especially about her romantic life. She realized that by focusing so much on these matters, she had neglected communication with her friends. She devoted most of her time to Qi Longbing and her child, so her interactions with friends had become truly rare. It used to be more frequent, but after Qi Longbing returned to her and the child’s side, she found her interactions with friends became increasingly scarce. Yet, these friends still cared for her, and she was touched. This was especially true for the man in front of her, Zi Yunsui; she felt she had wronged him somewhat. Because he had invested so much of his feelings in her, yet she had no way to reciprocate that affection. They didn’t even know when their feelings for each other had developed, even thinking back to many times before. Perhaps, with time, their bond would undergo a profound change, but just as that qualitative change seemed imminent, the intensity of that feeling had deeply faded. The reason, of course, was obvious. If Qi Longbing hadn’t re-entered her life, she believed she and Zi Yunsui might have had a different outcome.

Zi Yunsui looked at Hua Xiaomo, understanding her current thoughts. Qi Longbing really isn’t a suitable person for her, he thought. If she isn’t going to be with me, then she should consider herself, and more importantly, Candy’s feelings. If Candy knew Qi Longbing was a married man, what would he think? Wouldn’t he blame his own mother for being so reckless? These things are hard to say, and most importantly, how would Candy feel?

"Hua Xiaomo, I know you might not listen to what I’m about to say, but I really care about you," Zi Yunsui said, his heart stirring with a momentary surge of emotion. Looking at Hua Xiaomo, he saw a hint of discomfort on her face. I’m afraid that because of what I’ve said, she might harbor certain thoughts that could affect our relationship. What if I really can’t hold back from saying it, because I genuinely like her, I truly love Candy, and I want to be Candy’s father? Though that chance has slipped away now, I will still dote on Candy and care for Hua Xiaomo just the same. Because I feel that silently caring for someone is the only way my heart can find that happiness and joy. Even if I end up with Ye Xiangxue in the future, I wouldn’t experience that same emotional fulfillment. My feelings will always remain with Hua Xiaomo.

Hua Xiaomo looked at Zi Yunsui, her heart touched. Zi Yunsui is truly a good man, she thought, a man so good he deserves happiness. If he weren’t happy, then I would feel somewhat indebted to him. Fortunately, Ye Xiangxue is a good girl. If he could be with Ye Xiangxue, it would genuinely be a good choice. He doesn’t necessarily have to stubbornly devote himself to me; besides, I’m not as wonderful as he makes me out to be. Yes, not only have I had a child, but I also have that kind of past relationship. No matter how you look at it, I’m not quite suitable for an excellent, single man like Zi Yunsui. He deserves to be liked by a better single girl. This isn’t said out of self-pity; it’s simply my way of expressing what I believe is the best choice for him.

Hua Xiaomo looked at Zi Yunsui, a faint smile lingering on her face. After a moment, she finally said, "Alright, let’s go downstairs and get some coffee. My throat is a bit dry, and yes, I’d like something to eat too."

Zi Yunsui smiled at Hua Xiaomo, and then they walked into the coffee shop together. They ordered some food and began to eat.

After eating for some time, Hua Xiaomo felt quite full. She looked at Zi Yunsui and said with a smile, "Zi Yunsui, are you full? I am. By the way, I think I should head back now; it’s getting really late."

Zi Yunsui smiled back at Hua Xiaomo, a grin on his exceptionally handsome face. Then, after a moment’s thought, he said, "Hua Xiaomo, there’s a KTV upstairs. How about we go sing? I really want to sing. Will you come with me? Just this once, please?"
